Who says cars have to be boring and plain, I say we Disneyfy them! These beautiful Minnie Seat Covers are perfect to turn up the Disney in a car, and also cover my leather seats in the Florida sun!
These Minnie Seat Covers cover the full front seat, and have Minnie’s iconic bow, with a cute matching “skirt”. It’s a wrapping type of seat cover, and because it is one-size-fits-all it is compatible with most of seat types (bench seats excluded). There are elastic ties sewn in for secure mounting. These are some of the cuter seat covers I’ve seen for Minnie, they aren’t just plan red and white polka dots, there are even little Minnie hands! Seat covers are great because they are washable and help keep the car clean. The Minnie Seat Covers also have a “Minnie Mouse Signature” as a nice little detail to tie it all together. You can get your own set on Amazon here!
What do you think of this lovely take on Minnie Mouse themed car seat covers?
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina is the place to stay for a Hawaiian family vacation that immerses you in local culture through Disney magic.
Before you plan your visit to the magical resort, I would love to teach you a new Hawaiian word. Kaiaulu which trade-wind breeze. Aulani is definitely the place to feel the kaiaulu in your hair.
MAKA‘ALA LOBBY — With its fun recreation features and restaurants, its comfortable rooms, and its combination of Disney magic with Hawaiian beauty, tradition and relaxation, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Hawai‘i, offers a new way for families to vacation together on the island of O‘ahu. (Paul Hiffmeyer/Disney Destinations)
When you first walk into Makaʻala, the lobby area at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, you’ll enjoy the trade-wind breeze known as the Kaiaulu. This wind comes from the Waiʻanae mountain range and cools the land heading down towards the sea. It’s almost as if it comes to greet you as you walk through the door. It even brings the smell of our fresh flower lei in with you.
Perhaps in the morning, you will enjoy the light breeze called Moani down by the ocean. It is a soothing accompaniment to the many fitness classes offered including Beach and Paddleboard Yoga. Needless to say, it goes very well with a quick dip in our inviting lagoon.
Or if you’re up for an adventure, go out and experience the misty rain called Tuahine when you participate in a tour of Manoa valley. This rain provides the magic that makes Manoa valley famous for rainbows. It’s not uncommon to see multiple rainbows at once!
At Aulani Resort, they are re-defining that old phrase: go wherever the wind may take you. There are so many more stories awaiting you on your visit!
A hui hou.

If you have visited the Grand Floridian or been a bride at Disney World in the past 25 years, you know who Richard Gerth is. He is the legendary greeter and bride’s assistant who has held both positions since 1992. Even if you have ever swung by the Grand Floridian for a quick visit on the monorail or maybe to check out the Gingerbread Houses during Christmas, chances are you have met Richard.
Unfortunately, reports on the internet and The Inquisitor indicate that Richard lost some or most of his possessions due to Hurricane Irma. Other reports indicate that Richard was located in a shelter after the storm passed through by a fellow Cast Member and is now staying at the Grand Floridian.
We are happy to report that the hurricane didn’t affect his magical spirit! Chip & Co fan, Beth Smith-Gilbert, spotted Richard right back at work this week and snapped this great photo of him.
Several “Go Fund Me” pages have been set up for Richard. However, since we can’t validate the credibility of the pages, we advise you to stay away from them and cannot be liable if you chose to make a donation to one of them.
The Inquisitor is also reporting that the following was recently posted on a Disney Facebook fan page:
“I am told today that Richard is now aware of fundraising that various people have organized, and would prefer any donations be made to the assisted living facility where he has residence: Good Samaritan Kissimmee Village, which is located along low-lying Shingle Creek. I am not promoting any of the fundraisers or Go Fund Me pages, and please be vigilant if you do contribute to one of them. Also, the management at Grand Floridian wants everyone to be aware that Cast members cannot accept gifts while on stage and on duty while on property.”
A local news station covered the damage to Good Samaritan Village by Hurricane Irma. You can read more about it by CLICKING HERE.
All your fans are thinking of you, Richard!

Mickey’s Halloween Party is the spooktacular, separately ticketed-event held on select nights each year in September and October. The Headless Horseman has risen from the shadowy depths of Sleepy Hollow to herald the arrival of a procession of frightfully delightful fiends down Main Street, U.S.A. As the legend foretells, this eerie Halloween spirit silently holds a flickering jack-o-lantern to light his way in search of a new head to call his own.
The Cadaver Dans
The Cadaver Dans serenade partygoers with terrifying tunes aboard a drifting raft upon the foggy Rivers of America.
Frightfully Fun Parade
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort gets spookier with the Frightfully Fun Parade at Mickey’s Halloween Party in Disneyland Park. Guests will see some of their favorite ghoulish villains and characters, including Jack Skellington, Dr. Facilier and the Hitchhiking Ghosts singing and dancing down Main Street, U.S.A.

Shanghai Disney Resort recently supported the very first wish-granting from Make-A-Wish® Shanghai. They hosted a seven-year-old boy and his family from China’s Anhui Province at Shanghai Disneyland and made his wish to meet Olaf from Frozen come true. This comes after Disney officially launched the Disney Wish Program on Children’s Day this year.
This also marks the first official wish granted by the Disney Wish Program at Shanghai Disney Resort, launched earlier this year and designed to support children with life-threatening medical conditions in mainland China, helping to make life-changing wishes come true and bring hope, magic, and joy to children when they need it most.
“Disney’s history of wish granting began when Walt Disney opened Disneyland Park and hosted children from around the world, and we are pleased to bring this legacy to Shanghai,” said Philippe Gas, general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort. “We are proud to play a role in bringing smiles and laughter to wish children and their families, and will continue to work closely with approved nonprofit wish-granting organizations to help make transformational wishes come true.”
The first wish child, Yuanbao, currently undergoing treatment for a tumor, had a dream to go to Shanghai Disneyland with his family, and meet his favorite Disney character Olaf from Disney’s hit animated film, Frozen. At the Royal Banquet Hall in the Enchanted Storybook Castle, Olaf together with his best friend Elsa, made a surprise appearance and greeted Yuanbao in person, making his magical dream finally came true. Together with his family, Yuanbao went on to spend several fun-filled hours at the theme park – sharing magical moments with Olaf and Elsa, riding Dumbo with Mickey Mouse, being the parade Grand Marshall with his parents, and receiving warm welcomes from all Cast Members from the resort.
“This first wish in Shanghai marks a great milestone for us and we are grateful to celebrate this milestone with such a dedicated friend, Shanghai Disney Resort,” said Jerry Huang, Chairman of Shanghai Make-A-Wish Charity Foundation. “We look forward to working together with Shanghai Disney Resort and community partners to continue to help inspire children in China to overcome challenges and believe that anything is possible.”
The Disney Wish Program is a collaboration between Disney and approved nonprofit wish-granting organizations that make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Over 9,000 Disney wishes are granted every year around the world with Make-A-Wish —including experiences at Disney Parks, voyages on Disney Cruise Line, character visits, Disney Store shopping sprees and visits to TV and movie sets.
Introduced to Shanghai on Children’s Day this year, Shanghai Disney Resort will work closely with local wish-granting organizations like Make-A-Wish Shanghai to lend their support and help families make lasting memories together, bringing comfort and smiles to wish children and families when they need it most.

Have you ever wanted to see Doctor Strange levitate above the top deck of the Disney Magic? How about cruise the high seas with your favorite super heroes? If so, a Marvel Day at Sea sailing is the cruise for you!
Doctor Strange is one of the most powerful sorcerers in existence. Once an expert surgeon, a car accident severely damaged his hands, sending him on a quest that led to his discovery of the Mystic Arts. His magical repertoire includes energy projection, matter transformation, teleportation, dimensional travel and time travel, to name just a few.
During Marvel Day at Sea, you can see Doctor Strange in his very own show in the Walt Disney Theatre. Through stage illusions, projections and special effects, Doctor Strange demonstrates his mastery of the Mystic Arts to confront villain Dormammu and attempt to send him back to the Dark Dimension. When he’s not defeating Dormammu, Doctor Strange may be encountered around the ship, summoning his powers and seeking enlightenment, as well as appearing in the nighttime deck show.
Stay tuned to meet more Super Heroes assembling for Marvel Day at Sea, which premieres on select 7- and 8-night Disney Cruise Line sailings from New York this fall, and returns on select 5-night Western Caribbean cruises from Miami in early 2018.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, almost. Halloween celebrations are in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort, but Christmas is just around the corner! After the final night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Cast Members will begin working to magically transform the resort into a merry wonderland. While the Christmas decor in the parks is absolutely gorgeous, there is truly something to be said for the holiday decorations that fill the halls and lobbies of the more than 25 resorts on property.
Each Disney resort on property gets decked out with their own holiday decorations, some of which are worthy of a visit to see, even if you aren’t staying at that particular resort. One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World, during the holiday season, is resort hop and take in all the beauty of the resort Christmas decorations.
I love all of the holiday decor around the Walt Disney World property, but a few resorts stand out from the rest. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort all feature some amazing holiday displays that are worth experiencing.
During the holiday season, walking into Disney’s Wilderness Lodge feels like walking into a storybook Christmas. Centered in the resort’s lobby is a large, stunning, Christmas tree; along with the over-sized fireplace the decor makes for a magical place to sit and relax with a cup of hot cocoa. Over at Disney’s Grand Floridian, a beautifully decorated tree graces their lobby as well, but the decoration that truly stands out at this deluxe resort, is their life-size gingerbread house. The attention to detail on this edible work of art is incredible, and the delicious smell of gingerbread is sure to put you in the holiday spirit! Grand Floridian’s gingerbread house isn’t the only remarkable edible decor on property. The holiday decorations at Disney’s Beach Club Resort feature a life-size, functional, carousel made of gingerbread. Beach Club’s sister resort, Disney’s Yacht Club is home to one of my favorite holiday decorations. The resort’s set up includes a gorgeous holiday village with a miniature train. Walt Disney had a love of trains, and I love that connection within the display.
Have you ever visited the Walt Disney World Resort hotels during the holiday season? Share your thoughts on the holiday decor in the comments below!
