Maria & Enzo's Italian Ristorante Dinner Review

Maria & Enzo’s Italian Ristorante  opened recently at Disney Springs.  If you are craving Italian food, like we were, stop by to enjoy a wonderful dinner at this venue.  Here is a Review of our overall experience with a strong focus on the dinner food options.

We began our evening with a pitcher of Roman Sangria for the table and a Classic Bellini for one.  The Sangria was poured tableside into glasses of ice with fresh fruit.  The Classic Bellini had a Rose Gold Tint that we thought was perfect!

For Starters we ordered the Arancini Di Carne and Caciocavallo Fritto.  The Arancini Di Carne is a beautiful rice croquette filled with mozarella and savory meat sauce.  The crispy outer coating lends a nice crunch to the melted cheese and meat sauce inside.  The Caciocavallo Fritto is lightly fried imported sicilian cheese and tomato sauce.  We enjoyed this as well.  The crispy layer surrounding the flavorful cheese was quite good.

Our main entree’s included Nodino Di Vitello which is veal chop, pomodoro and mozzarella.  We really enjoyed this particular dish and would recommend, for anyone who enjoys veal, to give this dish a try.  We also had the N’Casciata Al Forno which is a classic sicilian layered baked pasta, meat ragu, peas, zucchini, and Caciocavalla Cheese.  We loved the pasta layers combined with the vegetables and meat sauce.   The Spaghetti and Meatballs was also quite good and we really liked the spaghetti noodles in this tasty dish.

We closed out our meal with some beautiful desserts, a glass of Arancello and a glass of Limoncello.  We enjoyed all of the options and would recommend any of them based on individual taste preferences.  Choices included a Gelato Trio, Cannoli, Cassata Siciliana and Enzo’s Torta.  The Limoncello was our favorite of the two after-dinner Italian Liquers.  One word of note; the Cannoli is the real deal!

The service at Maria & Enzo’s is very good.  Special Thanks to our Server Florindo and the lovely Greeters at Passenger Check-in, as well as General Manager Gabriele Penazzi. We enjoyed the meal and the interactions we had with all of the Maria & Enzo’s Italian Ristorante Team.  We highly recommend a visit to this venue for a wonderful meal, with great service,  in a lovely atmosphere.  Maria & Enzo’s is open daily from 11:30am-12:00am along The Landing at Disney Springs.

Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Offers More Magic with 60-day FastPass+ Window, Extra Magic Hours, and More!

If you haven’t stayed at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, you are missing out! The newly renovated resort offers everything from new restaurants to being just a quick away to Disney Springs. Now, Guests staying at Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace can take advantage of selecting FastPasses at 60-days in advance and even Extra Magic Hours!

Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is a designated Official Walt Disney World Hotel and located in the Disney Springs Resort Area. It has a long-standing relationship with the Walt Disney World Resort. Through December 31, 2018, Guests can take advantage of the theme park Extra Magic Hours benefit, and now have the ability to make FastPass+ selections up to 60-days prior to arrival, through the MyDisneyExperience app, with valid Walt Disney World theme park ticket or ticket confirmation number and the hotel confirmation number.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer our guests access to a plethora of special Disney benefits, coupled with our convenient location, in order to provide a great experience while visiting Orlando,” said James Grosso, Complex General Manager of the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace and Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista.

To access the 60-day booking window for FastPass+, hotel guests, who have a valid theme park ticket or confirmation number and a hotel reservation number, will be able to link their hotel reservation on MyDisneyExperience.com, and with a linked, valid theme park ticket, these guests can utilize the 60-day booking window for FastPass+ selections. Plus, once they’ve arrived, guests can modify Disney FastPass+ plans on the go, on a mobile device or at in-park kiosks.

In addition to Disney FastPass+, guests of Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace will also have access to Disney Extra Magic Hours benefit. Each day, one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks opens early or extends later for guests to enjoy select attractions, and during select dates, the Extra Magic Hours benefit may also be offered at a Disney Water Park. Disney World Pulls Out All The Stops To Welcome Super Bowl LII Hero Nick Foles

It was a fairytale scene Monday, complete with its own castle, as Super Bowl hero Nick Foles of the Philadelphia Eagles starred in a milestone moment – a celebratory “I’m Going to Disney World!” parade down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park.

In front of the majesty of Cinderella Castle the day after the Eagles’ 41-33 improbable Super Bowl victory, park guests and Eagles fans lined the famous street as a smiling Foles waved from a float he shared with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and other beloved Disney characters. Balloons and a blizzard of confetti in the Eagles’ team colors completed the happy scene.

“World champions,” shouted Foles. “To be at Disney World is unbelievable.”

Afterward, Foles spent some time enjoying Disney World, experiencing Disney attractions and interacting with Mickey and Minnie.

It was a magical experience for Foles who passed for three touchdowns and caught a fourth touchdown pass (unprecedented for a quarterback in Super Bowl history) in Philadelphia’s upset victory on Sunday night in Minneapolis. A backup quarterback for most of the season, Foles stepped into the starter’s role in December and turned in a stunning performance in Sunday’s big game. His heroics helped him deliver Eagles fans their first world championship in franchise history and earned Foles the game’s Most Valuable Player award.

After the Super Bowl victory, Foles looked into the TV cameras and announced he was “Going to Disney World,” an iconic line that is part of a TV ad airing nationally.

Disney World guests can enjoy Cupid’s Kiss Latte flavored with caramel and coconut syrups, Amore Cocoa with dark chocolate sauce, and Valentine’s White Mocha featuring white chocolate sauce and raspberry. All of these drinks are available for $5.99 for a 16oz drink.

Temporary Entrance Open For Hollywood Studios From Buena Vista Drive

Guests are diverted through a temporary road and tollbooth to the right of the original entrance. There are two lanes for guests and one lane to the right for bus transportation. Here is video that gives you a better idea of what to expect:

Naples Ristorante e Pizzaria To Undergo Renovations in Downtown Disney District

It’s official!  Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria, located in the Downtown Disney District, will be going under renovations to refresh the restaurant’s aesthetic and enhance the dining experience. Luckily, Naples will be open throughout the course of construction for guests to enjoy.

A new outdoor bar will be the feature of an expanded patio with additional al fresco dining among all new landscaping. The building renovation includes an addition of a new all-glass entry, welcoming guests to the first and second-floor dining areas.

Inside, three new wood-burning pizza ovens will be installed and will be the focal point of the room. The second-floor dining area will feature an open kitchen as well as enhanced outdoor terrace dining.

The Naples experience is a full immersion into the dining of Southern Italy – from the food and wine to the décor. Authentic Neapolitan pizza is made the traditional way, with a textured, soft and charred crust. The pies are crafted using simple and delicious essential Italian ingredients, along with fresh local products.

The restaurant will remain open during construction and completed in three phases. The current menu of regional Italian specialties from Executive Chef Umberto Rubelli will still be fully available throughout the entirety of the renovation process. This will allow guests to continue enjoying their favorite Neapolitan pasta dishes, secondi, seasonal salads, Italian wines, and the bustling, yet relaxed atmosphere reflective of the restaurant’s namesake city.

Visitors can also expect Napolini, Naples’ fast-casual concept, to undergo a revamp during the latter part of construction. Napolini will stay open as well, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to guests on the go in need of an authentic Italian quick bite. All renovations are slated to be completed in fall, 2018.

It’s no secret that I adore the cute little creatures from The Last Jedi, Porgs! I can’t help it, their cuteness knows no bounds. Just when I was beginning to think my Porg collection was complete, one of my favorite Disney YouTubers – Mickey Views, released some breaking news that proved me wrong. What else could there possibly be? Well an Adopt Your Own Porg Experience of course!

If it weren’t for the adoptable Banshee toys that debuted with Pandora, I might be skeptical about these. However considering what a smash hit those were, it’s no surprise that a Star Wars themed merchandise experience is in the wings. Brayden goes over material from a source that has access to an Imagineer’s private social media account. This Imagineer has been posting concept art, and images about a new project for this furry little friends. They will supposedly be like Furbies, and you will have to say a pledge just like the Banshees.

I was eagerly awaiting the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before, now I don’t know how I’m going to handle the anticipation! I’m also very curious as to how they will do variations, if any for these new take home pets too!

Disneyland’s Red Rose Taverne to Serve Breakfast

The Disneyland Resort has announced that the Red Rose Taverne will begin serving breakfast starting Wednesday, February 7th. Belle and friends took over this location, which was once Pinocchio’s Village Haus. It’s a very popular spot amongst the quick service locations.

To accommodate for this change, February 6th will be the last day that Rancho Del Zocalo will serve breakfast.

Red Rose Taverne’s breakfast menu will include such special items as an Open Face Croque Madame (ham, baked egg, gruyere, béchamel sauce, dijon mustard, and seasoned sliced tomatoes on country-style toast), a Breakfast Flatbread (with bacon, egg, mozzarella, potatoes, béchamel sauce, and greens), as well as some standards like Mickey-shaped pancakes and a breakfast platter (scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes served with a petite croissant).

Breakfast at the Red Rose Taverne will be served from park opening to 11 a.m. beginning February 7th.
