Book Your Toy Story Land Vacation Package Before Ticket Price Increase

Toy Story Land Vacation Package

I’m sure by now everyone has heard the exciting news that Disney has announced that the opening date for Toy Story Land is June 30, 2018. I know that many families have been waiting to book their Disney World vacations until they were sure that a visit to Andy’s backyard would be part of their visit to Hollywood Studios. I want to also pass on the reminder that there are only 2 more days until the previously announced park ticket price increase will take effect for all vacation packages starting on February 21, 2018.

Our friends at MickeyTravels can help you navigate booking the perfect Disney World vacation for your family. They will monitor for any future Disney promotion releases and help get those difficult Dining and FastPass+ reservations. The best part is that their services are completely free! Even if you have already booked your vacation directly with Disney you can still have that reservation transferred to the MickeyTravels agency as long as it has been booked within the last 30 days. Just Click Here for your FREE No Obligation Quote.

Toy Story Land is where kids and grownups alike will join their Toy Story Pals and experience all-new adventures. In the so-much-larger-than-life setting of Andy’s backyard, your family is invited to shrink down and become a toy alongside Woody, Buzz
Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the Toy Story gang. Take part in the adventure together—among giant building blocks and board games that Andy’s rigged up to become a playground straight out of his vivid imagination.

First off, Andy’s assembled his awesome coaster kit and Slinky Dog is poised to take you on a wild journey. The new Slinky Dog Dash whooshes throughout the land. Hold on for an exhilarating ride that twists Slinky Dog’s coils around curves, hills, bridges, and drops. It’s a crazy ride the whole family can enjoy together.

Next, on Alien Swirling Saucers, the aliens have powered up their flying saucers to take you on a spin through space. Climb into a toy rocket and hang on as aliens lead the way on an interstellar romp set to an out-of-this-world beat. If you’re really lucky, you just might get “chosen” by the claw.

Then, head inside to Andy’s room where the toys have set up their carnival playset. On the fan favorite Toy Story Mania!, your Toy Story pals help you blast your way through a 4D arcade. Fire at targets with everything from baseballs to cream pies. But you better practice your aim, because high-score bragging rights are on the line for friends and families.

Toy Story Land is an amazingly playful way to step in and join your toy friends for fun that never ends. You can check out our previous articles to learn more about all the amazing things to experience once Toy Story Land opens.

Black Panther Roars Into Theaters with a Projected $218 Million Opening Weekend

Black Panther Roars Into Theaters with a Projected $218 Million Opening Weekend

To say that “Black Panther” has smashed it at the box office would be an understatement.  According to a  piece on Variety.com, the film is heading for a $218 million debut over President’s Day weekend.  This shatters the all-time February opening weekend record which was held by “Deadpool” back in 2016  which earned $132.4 million during the four-day President’s Day weekend.

The film started out strong earning an impressive $25.2 million during Thursday previews making it the second-largest preview gross for a Marvel film.

In addition to high levels of attendance, the film is winning with audiences receiving an A+ CinemaScore.  The only other Marvel film to have done this was 2012’s “The Avengers.”

The Black Panther follows T’Challa, who after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

“Black Panther” stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, with Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nate Moore, Jeffrey Chernov and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. Ryan Coogler & Joe Robert Cole wrote the screenplay.

Readers are encouraged to keep following along with Chip and Co. for the latest in Black Panther news and updates.

Is Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween First Party Even Earlier This Year and Is Magic Kingdom Closing Even Earlier for Non-party Guests?

MNSSHP

Last year, the first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party of the season began in August which was a first ever. This year, it looks like the first party might even be earlier than last year by about a week!

The first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last year was on August 25. By the looks of Walt Disney World Park hours that have been published for August, the first party of 2018 will be on Friday, August 17!

Is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween First Party Even Earlier This Year and Is Magic Kingdom Closing Even Earlier for Non-party Guests?

If you notice, the Magic Kindom is scheduled to close at 6 pm on August 17. Typically, when we see parks closing at either 6 or 7 pm in previous years, it meant a Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party was being held that evening. With the Magic Kingdom closing on August 17, we can make an educated guess that the first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party would be held that night. Also, the first party is mostly on a Friday.

In addition, the 6 pm close time of the Magic Kingdom also indicates that the Park will be closing an hour earlier for those Guests who do not have a ticket to the party. This change was implemented last year for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This will be the first year it will also be applied to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

With the popularity of the Halloween party, it makes sense they are expanding the dates even more. We will keep an eye on the park calendars and pass along the dates we believe the rest of the parties will be on. Right now, there are no published hours past August 17.

Will you be attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this year?

ZOMBIE Stars Visited Disney World to Gear Up for the Disney Channel Premiere

ZOMBIES stars visited Disney World

Did you catch the premiere of ZOMBIES Friday night on the Disney Channel?! To gear up for the premiere, two ZOMBIES stars visited Disney World to find the zombiest things they could.

Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim took to the WDWBestDayEver Instagram account so fans could follow along in real time.  The stars interacted with fans through polls. Those polls allowed fans to vote for which characters they should meet, attractions they should experience, and accessories they should wear.

Top fan picks included meeting Cruella de Vil and singing in the caves on Tom Sawyer’s Island.  The ZOMBIES stars also watched the “Festival of Fantasy” parade and visited with some friendly ghosts at the Haunted Mansion.

You can see some behind the scenes footage of this zombie-rific day in this “Thattaway: ZOMBIES Edition” video.

Tom Shaw Performance Camp at Disney World Brings in NFL Prospects and Veterans

Tom Shaw Performance Camp at Disney World

Not everyone comes to Disney World for Space Mountain and Star Tours!  Thanks to the Tom Shaw Performance Camp at Disney World, top NFL draft eligible players spent some time at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex last week.

Players like former Penn State star running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley, who according to a few NFL experts could be the first player selected in the 2018 NFL Draft this April, recently visited the Happiest Place on Earth.  J.T. Barrett, the star quarterback at Ohio State University was also there.

Those two players are among the 40 NFL prospects and veteran NFL players who spent the offseason working out at the Tom Shaw Performance Camp at Walt Disney World Resort.

Shaw has a strong track record when it comes to producing NFL stars.  He has trained 145 NFL first round draft choices, 10 No. 1 picks and 11 Super Bowl MVPs.

These players comes to the sports complex to learn how to run faster and build their endurance.  They come to learn how to increase their strength and add years to their professional careers.

Check out some of these photos from a recent Tom Shaw workout at Disney.

Explore The Cities Of Spain With Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line will be once again be touring Europe this summer, starting in May. They will begin their itineraries in the Mediterranean, followed by cruises to northern Europe, Norway, and Iceland. My previous articles brought you glimpses of destinations in Italy and France. Today we’ll be exploring the cities of Spain, one of the more popular destinations for Disney Cruise Line.

Explore The Cities Of Spain With Disney Cruise Line

VIGO

This European city is all at once progressive and traditional, melding modern fishing industry with vestiges of the region’s long cultural heritage. Away from the immediate vicinity of the dock, you’ll discover that Vigo’s streets are steeped in medieval charm. Encounter exquisite shops, ancient forts and palaces, and seafood at the pinnacle of freshness. True cuisine connoisseurs will not want to miss the Galician oysters!

In Vigo, you’ll find friendly locals whose backgrounds represent a mix of Roman, Celtic, French and Spanish influences. Those who wish to immerse themselves in local traditions and daily life can venture to Casco Vello, the oldest part of the city.

PALMA DE MALLORCA

Bringing together the relaxed atmosphere of the Mediterranean with the cultural and economic appeal of a thriving city, Palma is a destination that holds magic for all who visit. You can be sure to find a vast array of museums, cafés, nightclubs and shops within the ancient city walls.

What makes Palma stand out from other cities is its sheer beauty. The city is so rich in Roman and Arab history; you’ll feel transported to another place and era where the remnants of the past blend seamlessly with contemporary Spanish living.

MÁLAGA

For a glimpse into the culture of Málaga, saunter through Mercado Central where locals shop daily for fresh fish and produce. Or, visit Alameda Principal, a seaside park that’s favored for its lush gardens.

When you’re ready to refuel after a long day of exploration, satisfy your appetite with classic Spanish tapas dishes that showcase the best ingredients of the Mediterranean region including seafood, olives and cheese. Seek out local specialties like paella, gazpacho and sangria.

IBIZA

This vivacious seaside retreat buzzes with historical sites, shopping, restaurants and a beautiful harbor. With turquoise waters, white-sand stretches, mysterious caves and scintillating nightlife—it’s no small wonder why Ibiza attracts throngs of celebrities and glamor-seekers alike. It’s rumored to be the spot where sirens lured Ulysses from his ship in The Odyssey! The cosmopolitan allure of this tourist-friendly town also draws from its free-thinking, hospitable atmosphere.

CADIZ

Cádiz has 4 distinct districts: City Centre, La Vina, El Populo and Santa Maria. The city core features colorful plazas, gardens and historic Moorish and Baroque cathedrals. La Vina is the nightlife district, home to Cádiz’s many bars and clubs. El Populo is the tourist district full of monuments, shops and cafes. Santa Maria—flamenco capital of the world—is the oldest district, boasting some of the city’s most impressive architecture.

Food plays an important role in Cádiz and the abundance of seafood is amazing. Because the city is surrounded on 3 sides by water, its culinary life benefits immeasurably. Dine on ocean delicacies—from squid, shrimp and lobster to such local dishes as “caldillo de peros” (fish stewed in orange sauce) and “pescadito fritas” (fries Cádiz-style). For a sweet treat, try “pain de Cádiz” (marzipan stuffed with fruits) and “turron” (Spanish nougat).

Cádiz is also one of the world’s major sherry and brandy producers. While in port, pick up some Amontillado sherry, a bottle of which has a place on every Cádiz dinner table.

BARCELONA

Among its many qualities, Barcelona has incredible culinary delights, leading fashion designers, numerous museums and art galleries, expansive parks and beaches, a convenient subway system and last, but not least, amazing architecture—from Medieval to Modernism.
