Look for new Disney Parks Apple Watch Wallpaper Designs being released, starting with the Disney Parks Blog 8th Anniversary Orange Bird wallpaper design. You can add the Orange Bird design to your watch To add the Orange Bird design to your watch, simply by going to the Disney Parks wallpaper page and click the drop-down box to choose Apple Watch 38mm or 42mm.

‘Tasting Series’ Adds Seasonal Spin on Tasting Experience

Top of the World Lounge, a soothing space to unwind located at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, has added dates to its weekly Beverage Tasting Series, including a new menu of holiday-themed sessions.

During these ‘Tasting Series’ sessions, Disney Vacation Club members have the opportunity to participate in a beverage tasting seminar that is hosted on the 16th floor lounge atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, all while taking in amazing views of Magic Kingdom area! Each 60-minute session features a unique beverage theme. A small-plate food selection will accompany the beverage served.

Each session is presented on Thursdays as part of the Membership Magic Ever After. The experience is $40 per person- for as many as 20 participants- and lasts from 4:30-5:30pm.
Events on Oct. 26th and Nov. 30th include beer tastings, Nov. 2nd and Dec. 7th include bourbon tastings, Nov. 9th and Dec. 14th will have wine, and mixology experiences on Nov. 16th and Dec. 21st.

Looking for a more seasonal twist on the tasting experience? Check out the new holiday-themed sessions on tap for November and December. Tastings on Nov. 7th include spiced or mulled cider, Nov. 14th and 28th will serve Thanksgiving cocktails, Dec. 5th enjoy chocolate-inspired holiday drinks, Dec. 12th sip on a hot holiday beverage, and Dec. 19th coffee-inspired holiday drinks.

Permits Filed for Epcot’s New Ratatouille-themed Attraction

A recent permit filed by the Walt Disney Company suggests that it’s all systems go when it comes to the new Ratatouille attraction coming to Epcot in the near future.

According to several sources, the permit filed with Orange County is for “Project MI” with an address that places it at the same location as the France pavilion. This initial permit is for core a shell work which includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural as well as concrete and metal work.

Disney has not officially commented on the permits as of yet, but the location is consistent with the new Ratatouille ride showcased during this year’s D23 convention in California. Disneyland Paris already has a Ratatouille attraction where the famous Chef Remy (who is also a rat) shows off his knack for cooking. Dubbed Ratatouille: The Adventure, the ride offers a 4D experience following Remy and friends who have cooked up a delicious storm. But it’s not long before the rats are discovered by Chef Skinner who chases visitors through the sights sounds and smells of Gusteau’s famous Parisian restaurant.

Many Disney-insiders are expecting the Epcot ride to be a close match to the one in Disneyland Paris.

There’s no news yet as to when this new attraction is expected to open to the general public. However, Disney has already announced that the attraction would one of the new offerings up and running by the time Disney begins its 50th-anniversary celebrations in 2021. We here at Chip and Co. wouldn’t be surprised if we see it a bit sooner.

This ride joins an already impressive list of new lands and attractions slated to hit the theme parks in the years ahead. This includes Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios as well as a new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster at Epcot and a Tron Coaster slated for the Magic Kingdom.

The Shanghai Rolex Masters Family Day took place this past weekend. The annual event allows families to learn more about tennis straight from the pros, as well as take part in some games of their own. Mickey Mouse and Goofy made a magical appearance and took on tennis professionals Roger Federer and Wu Di in a doubles match!

Not only did they show off their skills on the court, Mickey and Goofy were on hand to help the Shanghai Disney Resort announced their plans to support Shanghai Ruikebi Youth Sports Junior Tennis by expanding its program to new schools in China. The two Disney friends also posed for pictures and awarded gifts from Shanghai Disney Resort to lucky families at the event.

“Coco VR” Experience Showcases Pixar’s Visual and Storytelling Magic

Pixar Animation Studios announced its first-ever VR experience this morning at Oculus Connect, the fourth annual developer conference in San Jose, Calif. Directed by Ross Haldane Stevenson and produced by Academy Award® winner Marc Sondheimer, “Coco VR” is a co-production from Disney•Pixar and Oculus with VR creative development and execution by Magnopus. Supervising technical director John Halstead spearheaded the technical efforts for Pixar.

“Coco VR” allows people to explore the worlds of “Coco” with their friends. The next-level social VR Experience will be available on Oculus Rift November 15 and Samsung Gear VRNovember 22, the day of the film’s U.S. release. The experience will be available for a sneak peek at the following events and locations:

Día de los Muertos festivals in Los Angeles, New York City, Houston, Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, Oakland and Chicago beginning Oct. 28

Camp Flog Gnaw Music Festival in Los Angeles on Oct. 28-29
