Universal Orlando Announces Halloween Horror Nights Dates and Special Offer

Universal Orlando Announces Halloween Horror Nights Dates and Special Offer

Universal Orlando has announced the dates for it’s 2018 Halloween event: Halloween Horror Nights.

Dates for Halloween Horror Nights include: September 14 – 16, 20 – 23, 28 – 30; October 3 – 7, 10 – 14, 17 – 21, 24 – 28, 31; and November 1 – 3 bringing the event to a grand total of 34 evenings.

Guests are currently able to purchase flex tickets which allow you entry to the Halloween event for two nights Sunday – Thursday for a single price of $77.99. This special ticket offer ends June 6th.

In addition, Universal is also offering a special Horror Nights hotel package which includes a 4-night stay, 4-day park tickets (good for Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay waterpark) and a 2-night admission to Halloween Horror Nights. The package starts at $215 per adults and must be booked prior to June 6th.

According to a press release, this after-hours, ticketed event will house nine new mazes and five scare zones. Guests can expect to encounter iconic horror films, cult classics, terrifying hit TV shows and original stories throughout the frightening celebration.

One change to note, for any fans or attendees from previous years, is that Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure stage show will no longer be a part of the event. Last year was the final year to catch the film-inspired performance.

Universal has also started to release dates for its Christmas celebration. The celebration will begin November 17 and run through January 6th, offering 44 days of Yuletide happenings which include Mannheim Steamroller concerts, the Grinch stage shows, holiday projections on Hogwarts castle and a holiday parade.

Keep following along with Chip and Co. for more information on events at Universal Studios.

ABC’s Roseanne Premiere Gains Recognition From President Trump

ABC's Roseanne Premiere Gains Recognition From President Trump

After a 20-year hiatus, Tuesday night ABC aired the premiere of Roseanne’s reboot. The blue-collar working-family sitcom drew an unanticipated viewership of 18.4 million viewers drawing the attention of original fans, new viewers and even President Trump.

Following her debut, Roseanne Barr received a personal phone call from President Trump congratulating her on the show’s ratings. Roseanne is a Trump supporter both on and off screen, and the season premiere made sure to touch on this hot-button topic.

On Good Morning America, Barr relayed that the phone conversation with Trump was a friendly conversation about ratings and working in television. She also shared that she was excited about the call.

While Barr made mention that she does not agree with everything Trump has said and done, she did claim, “I’ve known him for many years and he’s done a lot of nice things for me over the years.”

The sitcom star also drew attention from Donald Trump Jr. who suggested Barr consider a late night tv spot.

Roseanne’s season premiere was a huge success, drawing viewers from all different demographics and it certainly has everyone talking.

Disney Listed in LinkedIn Top Companies to Work For

top companies to work in the us

LinkedIn posted their 2018 list of Top Companies to Work for across the U.S. and Disney finished in the top 10.  This information is based off over 146 million business professionals that represent brands and innovators across the U.S.

Facebook, Apple, and Tesla also charted the list ranking higher than Walt Disney as companies like Netflix and Uber were just below. Sitting at #8 on the list with 199,000 employees, Disney was sandwiched between#9 Oracle IT Services with 138,000 employees and #7 ComCast NBC Productions with 164,000 employees.

From LinkedIn: “The Top Companies list is based on the billions of actions taken by LinkedIn members and looks at four main pillars: interest in the company, engagement with the company’s employees, job demand and employee retention.”

Making magic: Jobseekers looking to be part of the digital media revolution should look no further than the House of the Mouse. Its chief Imagineer, CEO Bob Iger, has been furiously rethinking the fabled media giant. As traditional TV continues to lose viewers to streaming options, Disney has been quickly adapting. It acquired most of 21st Century Fox (pending federal approval) and has plans to launch two streaming services this year, one under the ESPN banner and another for Disney Studio content.- LinkedIn
