John Lasseter accused of sexual misconduct, takes leave of absence

John Lasseter accused of sexual misconduct, takes leave of absence

According to an article on the Hollywood Reporter, John Lasseter is being accused of sexual misconduct for grabbing, kissing, and making inappropriate comments. The article talks about an incident with Rashida Jones who was a writer on Toy Story 4.

According to the article, Lasseter made several unwanted advances on Rashida. Rashida and her fellow writing partner Will McCormack left the project early on citing creative differences.

Disney has not commented on the alleged incident and Lasseter is taking a leave of absence from Pixar after acknowledging “painful” conversations and unspecified “missteps,” he wrote in a memo to staff at Pixar Studios on Tuesday. His leave of absence is said to be for six months, but I expect it might be even longer.

The Daily Poutine at Disney Springs Has the Perfect Black Friday Breakfast Treat

Daily Poutine

For those who haven’t spent a lot of time north of the border, Poutine is a French-Canadian treat featuring fries, cheese curd and gravy that has amassed such a huge following of comfort food-lovers that there’s even a food kiosk at Disney Springs solely devoted to the dish.

The Daily Poutine located in Town Center at Disney’s downtown shopping district offers up fun takes on the classic treat including an Italian version with Mozzarella and a Bolognese Sauce as well as a Latin version with Yucca, Black Beans, Pulled Pork and Queso.

For those doing their Black Friday shopping at Disney Springs this Friday, the Daily Poutine has also announced that for a limited time they’re going to be serving up a Breakfast Poutine, perfect for munching while you window shop.  Check out this tweet shared by Disney Spring earlier today.

The Daily Poutine offered a similar treat back in Summer of 2016 which featured fried potato puffs, sausage gravy, cheddar curds and a fried egg.  It looks like this year’s offering will be largely the same.

So be sure to stop by this Disney Springs kiosk on Friday morning and try one of these special breakfast treats out for yourself.

These Disney Gingerbread Ornaments are Adorably Sweet

Disney Gingerbread ornaments

Who else has a Disney themed Christmas tree? I really thought I was done getting new ornaments, until I saw these too sweet Disney Gingerbread ornaments on Etsy! I mean with my love of Disney treats, how can I resist these?

You can get Mickey or Minnie in an adorable gingerbread cookie form, or both (like I plan to do). They are soft, so they are also great if you need ornaments that can’t break, I know my kitty always goes for the low ones! Not only do they look tasty and cute, they are also very glittery. Mickey is looking dapper with a green frosting bow tie, and Minnie is looking stylish in her red icing bow. If you want to have them personalized, the designer can also add a name of your choice to the ornament, to make it a truly special keepsake for years to come. You can find these scrumptious cuties here!

Would you add a little bit of delectable magic to your Christmas tree with these Disney Gingerbread ornaments this year?

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

It’s National Gingerbread Day! There are so many gingerbread items this year at the Disney parks on both coasts. From gingerbread apples and cookies to beautiful displays in the parks and resorts. You’ll be able to find some delicious gingerbread offerings no matter where you’re celebrating the holiday season, at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to try these tasty treats, available throughout the holiday season, before they’re gone!

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

First up is Walt Disney World Resort. You will find some amazing gingerbread displays such as the annual gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa located in the lobby of the resort. This year marks the 19th anniversary of this life-size holiday house. They even offer daily demos where you can learn how to decorate a gingerbread house yourself starting on Dec. 1. Other yummy goodies that are available are gingerbread cookies, shingles, ornaments, cookie bags and more!

In addition, you’ll find even more gingerbread displays at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Epcot and Disney Springs. For more details, take a look at my recent blog post where I tell you everything you need to know about this year’s holiday displays.

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

During Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can find gingerbread pops and a special “Prep and Landing”-themed gingerbread cupcake throughout the park.

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

At the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, stop by the Yukon Holiday Kitchen in Canada to try the Maple Bûche de Nöel, a maple mousse rolled in gingerbread chiffon cake with cranberry sauce and pecan crumble. Or travel to France where you’ll find the Glace au Pain d’Epices at L’Artisan des Glaces – gingerbread ice cream with gingerbread pieces. For a traditional gingerbread cookie, you’ll find them at the new Cookie Nook Holiday Kitchen in the Odyssey building. And for a warm drink, why not get a gingerbread chai at Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company in Canada? This hot, creamy spiced chai tea is flavored with gingerbread syrup and Irish cream and comes topped with whipped cream.

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

Over at Disneyland Resort, if you’re visiting Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, there will be a gingerbread replica of the resort located in the lobby, as well as a cart where you’ll find some tasty treats like gingerbread man cookies and peppermint hot chocolate.

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

Another phenomenal display that can be found at Disneyland Park through early January 2018 is the Haunted Mansion Holiday gingerbread house. You can see this spooky display, inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” in the ballroom of the Haunted Mansion. This fanciful creation features Oogie Boogie and is over six feet tall!

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

If you’re looking for some tasty gingerbread treats at Disneyland Resort, then you won’t have to look far! At any candy location throughout the resort, you’ll find some yummy crispy treats and candy apples, all coated in gingerbread-flavored sugar and decorated with icing.

Gingerbread Day at Disney Parks

You can also find gingerbread man cookies at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, Market House, Red Rose Taverne, The Golden Horseshoe and Stage Door Café in Disneyland Park. Disney California Adventure park will have them at various carts throughout the park, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café, Pacific Wharf Café and Pacific Wharf Coffee Cart.
