A girl has to look stylish, even when she is on the sporting field. Minnie Mouse recently debuted her new soccer uniform at the 2017 Disney Girls Showcase presented by AS Roma at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Minnie’s new uniform is a purple and white horizontal striped jersey with purple shorts and is finished off with a red headband. Her new uniform features the No. 9, the same number as the most well-known women’s soccer player of all-time, two-time Olympic Gold medalist Mia Hamm.
This year, Disney Girls Soccer Showcase was re-imagined with new dates and expanded to include U11-U14 age groups. The showcase features many of the top high school soccer prospects in the country, many of whom will be playing on the collegiate level soon.

I love decking the halls in Disney inspired Christmas decorations, I really love using the traditional cheerful red, and jolly greens too. You can never have too many wreath decorations either, because they make great statement pieces on walls, doors, and even mantles. I really enjoyed the charming look of the Mickey Holly Wreath from the Disney Parks, and was excited to see it available online.

One of my favorite things to hear is “Welcome Home” when ever I arrive at Disney! Since I can’t live at Disney, it’s nice to have a Disney welcome at my real home too. This Disney Welcome Mat will welcome you, and your guests home the Disney way.
This Disney inspired mat is a laser engraved coconut hair door mat. The laser engraving produces a tonal color which is a dark brown on this material, for a contrasting design. Chip and Co reader, Ashely K. Carnes, shared this easy-to-follow tutorial and fantastic photos for creating a beautiful Mickey Head Bulb Wreath and I can’t wait to make my own!
What you’ll need:
ONE 18” Biodegradable Floral Craft Ring /EZ Glueable wreath form (see photo example)
TWO 12” Biodegradable Floral Craft Rings/ EZ Glueable wreath form
Cable Ties (12″ or larger)
Garland (any color)
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Shatterproof Christmas bulbs with metal or plastic top removed
Instruction:
1.Using the rings/wreath form, create a Mickey head. Ear placement is extremely important – otherwise it just doesn’t look like Mickey. About 6 or 6.5 in between the ears (or half the size of the wreath) seems to be a good placement. Secure the smaller wreaths to the larger using the cable ties – making sure they are tight enough so they won’t move.
2. Wrap the garland, snuggly, around the wreath, making sure it is completely covered. Use the hot glue gun to secure each end to the wreath. You’ll need more than one strand of garland, most likely.

3. Create the loop to hang your wreath. Using a cable tie, place it in the center of the Mickey head (between the ears) and pull it tightly. Take another cable tie and loop it through the first, securing it like a chain and giving yourself a way to hang it on a hook once finished.
4. Now it’s time to add the bulbs using the hot glue gun! This is all about how YOU want it to look – all one color, multi-colored, different sizes, etc.. It seems to work best by starting on the inside and outside of the wreathes and filling in from there, like a puzzle!
Please note, this wreath will be VERY heavy. Please keep that in mind when choosing how you want to hang it on the wall (no 2 or 3lb 3M hooks!).

Disney Sports is proud to announce it is presenting the Iowa football program with its coveted Disney Sports Spirit Award, which annually goes to the sport’s most inspirational figures.
The University of Iowa football program is lifting the spirits of sick children this season. At the end of the first quarter of every home game, their Kinnick Stadium announcer urges all fans inside the stadium to turn and wave to the young patients staying at the children’s hospital that’s next door to the stadium. Even the referees and visiting teams join in with this heartfelt gesture.
As a result of this simple act of kindness, the young patients staying in the hospital overlooking the stadium are more optimistic and hopeful.

Argh Maties, Christmas time is here, and it’s time to start decking the halls. We love to have Disney character stockings that represent our personalities, or favorite characters in our family. My mom is a huge fan of pirates, and she’s a total dog lover, so I know shes’ going to love having the Pirate Pluto Holiday Stocking as her special Christmas stocking at my house this year.
