Some new exciting options have arrived at the Taste Track food booth in Epcot. For the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, the booth has been turned into a global marketplace offering amazing Croissant Donuts and even a Pancake Milkshake!

There are four Croissant Donuts for guests to enjoy. Ther are as follows:

Croissant Donut tossed in cinnamon sugar $6.00

Croissant Donut with chocolate and marshmallows $6.50

Croissant Donut with chocolate hazelnut cream and raspberries $6.50

Croissant Donut with Sprinkles $6.50

A scoop of gelato can be added to each Croissant DOnut for an additional $2.00. You can choose from Chocolate, Hazelnut, White Chocolate Raspberry, and Vanilla Bean flavors.

UP! A Great Bird Adventure Script Makeover

UP! A Great Bird Adventure got a bit of a makeover this weekend. The dialogue for this show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park at the Walt Disney World Resort is now different than when the show first premiered in April.

During the show our fun-loving pals, Russell and Dug from Disney Pixar’s UP, join together with a senior Wilderness Explorer to a close-up look at various bird species from around the globe—including the marabou stork, a creature that flaunts a magnificent 10-foot wingspan.

Marvel fans have been waiting for this moment for some time now! I am happy to report it is finally here – our first look at Brie Larson as “Captain Marvel.”

Brie Larson is set to star as the Air Force Pilot turned superhero, Carol Danvers, in the next movie up in the MCU franchise. Carol Danvers appeared briefly in “Avengers: Infinity War” and will also be in the upcoming “Avengers 4.” But, before “Avengers 4,” we will get to know more about when “Captain Marvel” premieres.

“Captain Marvel” marks the first time a woman will be the headlining superhero of a Marvel movie. While females have had supporting roles in the past, Brie Larson’s role of the part-Kree, part-human pilot who made her comics debut back in 1968, will be a first.

“She can’t help but be herself,” Larson tells EW. “She can be aggressive, and she can have a temper, and she can be a little invasive and in your face. But the [not] waiting for orders is, to some, a character flaw.”

“Captain Marvel” lands in theaters everywhere on March 8, 2019.

The sweet treats have been plentiful at Walt Disney World recently. There have been a lot of cupcakes but today, I’m happy to share something a little different – cheesecake! More specifically, Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake!

You can find the new Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake at The Marketplace inside of Disney’s Beach Club Resort. So, if you have to be at Epcot or any of the Epcot Resort area hotels, make sure to stop by and try a piece.

The Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake is just $4.79 or one snack credit if you are using a Disney Disney Plan.

While at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, make sure to check out their new painting class. Painting in the Vineyard is hele every Friday evening and is just $35 person. It’s a great way to experience some magic outside of the parks!

Special Events Pavilion Near Fantasia Gardens Officially Closed

Fantasia Gardens Death

The Walt Disney World Resort has not made an official announcement yet but Orlando Park News is reporting that a special event space near Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course has officially closed. This space will be demolished to make way for a new hotel.

The Garden Pavilions closed for good on Tuesday, September 4th. This space, ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and “Dancing Hippo” pavilions which sit side by side, has been used for special events since opening. There is even a building behind these pavilions that housed storage and a training room for Starbucks Cast Members.

The pavilions will be demolished to create the parking lot adjacent to the new hotel. The current parking lot at Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will also close in the near future and be the location of the hotel itself.

The same company that own the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels will also own and operate the new hotel. Given the space, it would appear that it will be much smaller than the Swan and Dolphin.

It’s estimated opening date will be sometime in 2020.

Smoking Sections

The smoking location that was on the walkway from Storybook Circus to Tomorrowland has now been closed. The nearest smoking location will be near the bathrooms in Tomorrowland. Both Frontierland and the Main Entrance smoking locations remain the same.

Updated Smoking Sections Around Magic Kingdom

Designated smoking areas at Walt Disney World have been around for some time now. Walt Disney World Resorts, Restaurants, and Parks are all considered non-smoking except in these designated areas.

Designated smoking locations are listed on the guide maps of the four main Parks. Last year, large maps were installed in Epcot letting guests know exactly where the designated areas are located. We are not sure if they are temporary for the Food and Wine Festival or if these will be a permanent fixture and added to the other Parks.

This Summer new Haunted Mansion inspired Mouse Ears materialized at the Disney Parks. The gorgeous Tightrope Walker Minnie Ears were an instant hit, and sold out fast! I’m happy to report that these beauties have no appeared online at shopDisney though.

The Haunted Mansion Tightrope Walker Ears Headband

Balance your fashion sense with your love of the Haunted Mansion with this ears headband inspired by the Tightrope Walker portrait in the stretching room. The floral design on the ears echoes the design as the dress of the precariously perched girl.

These ears are absolutely gorgeous, and capture the essence of one of my favorite characters from the infamous Disney Parks Attraction. The soft pink organza bow, and berry colored velvet band add a touch of chic just like the Tightrope Walker herself. They are available online for $24.99, with a limit of 10 per customer.

Have you seen the behind the scenes Jungle Cruise movie photo that Dwayne Johnson shared? In it we also get our first look at Jack Whitehall’s character in the upcoming film.

Johnson took to his Instagram account and shared a photos that fans are loving. He is smiling, while holding an Anaconda along side Whitehall – who looks a little more cautious while holding the tail of the snake.

Besides Johnson and Whitehall the film also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Giamatti, Jesse Plemons and Edgar Ramirez.

In this film, based of the classic Disney attraction, Johnson’s character travels with his sister (played by Blunt) and Whitehall’s character to find a tree with healing powers. It looks like wild animals and another expedition will try and impede their mission. Ramirez and Plemons are said to be bringing the villains of the film to life.

Seven Buck Productions, which includes Johnson and his partners Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are producing the film along with Beau Flynn of Flynn Picture Co and John Davis and John Fox of Davis Entertainment. The script was originally penned by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay with Michael Green coming in for a recent rewrite.

The Jungle Cruise movie is set to be released October 11, 2019 with filming currently underway. It is said that Disney is looking to turn this into a franchise similar to what they did with Pirates of the Caribbean – which is also based on a classic attraction found at multiple Disney theme parks.

I’m super excited for this movie! This is one of my favorite rides at Disney (in fact, this was my youngest kiddos first ride ever at a Disney theme park!). So I’ll be counting down the days until it hits theaters!

Looking to make a little magic outside the Parks at Walt Disney World? Then, head over to Disney’s Beach Club Resort and check out their new Painting in the Vineyard painting class.

Painting in the Vineyard is held every Friday at 4:30 pm in Martha’s Vineyard at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The class is offered to guests ages 12 and up and is just $35 for each participant.

If you are not familiar, Martha’s Vineyard is one of the hidden gems at Walt Disney World. Tucked away in Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the lounge offers signature cocktails from the full bar menu in a mellow New England beach house-inspired setting. Imported wines and draft beers, including Sam Adams Seasonal, enhance the mood. Appetizers are also available.

Painting in the Vineyard is one of several painting classes offered at Walt Disney World. A new one was just recently announced at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village and the one at Port Orleans is always a favorite!
