Does Additional Property Acquired by Universal Orlando Mean a Fourth Theme Park Is Coming?

As we reported last year, Universal Orlando purchased 101 acres of land which was an addition to 475 acres purchased back in 2015. Per deeds filed today and online reports, it looks likes they just purchased even more land which leads one to speculate about the possibility of a fourth theme park coming to Universal Orlando.

Here is a photo of the deed from Orange County Public Records:

It also sounds like Universal Orlando is proactively trying to avoid any competitors coming to the area. Online reports also indicate that they have also acquired deed restrictions that would block any competition from building in the Universal Orlando area.

If you are familiar with the area, the land that was just purchased today is off I-4 between Sand Lake Road and Martin Anderson Beachline Parkway:

New chocolate bars have hit the shelves at The Ganachery in Disney Springs. Flavors include delicious Milk Chocolate and decadent Dark Chocolate.

The Dark Chocolate bars feature Sleeping Beauty while Milk Chocolate bars are inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Located across from Paradiso 37, The Ganachery is the perfect place to find exquisite chocolates, hand packaged by expert chocolatiers. You can also find Disney themed chocolate lollipops, chocolate pearls and chocolate squares in many delicious flavors. Mix and match your favorites to create personalized chocolate boxes. Disneyland has a new limited time quick service dining location called Alien Pizza Planet. This is where guests can celebrate Pixar Fest with new specialty food and drinks inspired by the little Aliens from the Disney•Pixar Toy Story films. With Pixar Fest festivities officially kicking off tomorrow we wanted to bring you the newly released menu and pricing!

For a short time, Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port is being transformed into Alien Pizza Planet, inspired by the loveable green Space Aliens from the family restaurant frequented by Andy (and his toys) in “Toy Story.” The Space Aliens are invading this popular dining spot to deliver fresh, hot pizzas and other items that are out of this world, including the new specialty pepperoni pizza and cheeseburger pizza.

This past weekend, Professional Boxer Anthony Joshua decided to celebrate his win over Joshua Parker with a magical visit to Disneyland Paris. Joined by a handful of friends, Anthony Joshua began his visit by taking in the sights of Main Street USA in Disneyland Park. The next stops were at some of the resort’s most popular attractions including Hyperspace Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Of course, Anthony made time to stop and snap a picture with Sleeping Beauty in front of Disneyland Park’s iconic landmark, Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Delicious New Menu Items at Disneyland Resort Hotels

Disneyland has had tons of exciting news over the last few weeks with Pixar Fest and the new Pixar Pier! The excitement doesn’t stop there. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disneyland Hotel have added some new, delicious menu items.

Storyteller’s Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa is now serving up a new starter, Avocado Toast. A grilled slice of sourdough bread topped with quail eggs, crushed avocado, parsley and celery leaves is sure to be a hit!

Delicious New Menu Items at Disneyland Resort Hotels

Featured on their lunch menu is a Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Caramelized onions and cheddar cheese on top of sourdough bread. Also being offered is ‘Nduja Sausage Pizza, with ‘nduja sausage, artichokes and mushrooms along with the Margherita Artisanal Pizza topped with basil and fresh mozzarella. Grana Pandano, fire roasted tomatoes with aged provolone cheese can be found on both as well.

Storyteller’s Cafe has a few new items on their dinner menu. The Chicken Paillard is a chicken breast that’s lightly breaded and topped with a lemon-caper sauce. It comes with heirloom carrots and roasted potatoes. The Boneless Braised Shortrib comes with a creamy horseradish sauce, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts.

For dessert, you can find Vanilla Creme Brulee with marinated raspberries and orange-vanilla biscotti.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel now has a Build-Your-Own-Poke Bowl at the Surfside Lounge and the Sand Bar where you can create your own meal! Start with a base of white rice, brown rice or romaine leaves, then add a protein. Choices include tuna, salmon of tofu. You can then top your fabulous creation with spicy mayo, poke sauce or wasabi. Garnishes are also available and include seaweed wakame, pickled ginger, fried onions, sesame seeds and more.

Delicious New Menu Items at Disneyland Resort Hotels

New at the Disneyland Hotel is the Island Hot Dog. It’s being offered at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, Tangaroa Terrace and the Poolside Bar. Ground pork and pineapple sausage come topped with onion sauce, daikon and Fresno chiles in a pretzel bun.

Another new favorite is the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with chicken breast, rice and veggies. Teriyaki sauce and togarshi aioli and wonton chips top the bowls. The Rongo Salad is also offered with green papaya, marinated tofu, gooseberries with rice noodles and carrots.

If you can’t decide, go for the Pu Pu Platter that samples Sweet-and-Spicy Asian Wings, Panko-Crusted Chinese Long Beans, Pork Gyoze, Fried Springs Rolls and Togarashi Aioli.

This video is a fun behind-the-scenes of what is sure to be an unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe! In “Avengers: Infinity War” we will see the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time with the Avengers and their Super Hero allies sacrificing all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, Trinh Tran, Jon Favreau, James Gunn and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay.

New Character Dining at Disneyland Resort Hotels

There is so much happening at the Disneyland Resort as we anticipate the opening of Pixar Pier and all the new things to come. However, the Hotels at the Disneyland Resort have not been forgotten. In addition to serving up some new menu items, guests will also have two new character dining options available to choose from, beginning this summer.

At Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa we will see a new character dining experience at Storytellers Café. Here, guests will join the one and only, Mickey Mouse,  and a few of his friends for Mickey’s Tales of Adventure. Mickey plays the role of an adventurous storyteller as he takes you on a journey into his immersive tales of adventure through his magical Adventurer’s Journal.

New Character Dining Coming to Disneyland Resort Hotels

Guests will find a second option over in Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at Disney’s PCH Grill. Guests will join Donald as he is reunited with his true love, Daisy, for some beachy fun at Donald Duck’s Seaside Breakfast. Soak up the sunshine and “catch some waves” on the dance floor with Donald, Daisy and Stitch as you enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast buffet.

Avengers: Infinity War Presales Already Topping All Previous Marvel Films

Avengers: Infinity War isn’t set to premiere in theaters until April 27th but it’s already breaking records. Presale tickets on Fandango have already sold more than double the amount seen by Black Panther two weeks prior to release. The same can be said for the last seven Marvel films combined. Avengers: Infinity War has surpassed major titles such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol .2, Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok.

Returning to the screen will be Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther,  Scarlett Johnannson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Chris Pratt returns as Star Lord.

If the movie keeps up the pace, it is set to become Fandango‘s top preselling superhero film along with topping the charts for April releases. Opening numbers are already expected to be in the $175 million to $200 million range. There have only been five films in history to hit the $200 million mark. Those include Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jurassic World, Marvel’s The Avengers and Black Panther. 

According to Fandango’s managing editor, Erik Davis “Infinity War has built up such an unprecedented anticipation that it’s pacing to break records, the likes of which we have never seen before for a superhero movie.”

New Digital Key Feature Now Available at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort now has a digital key option to quickly unlock your room door using your mobile device. This feature can be accessed in the My Disney Experience App. Along with unlocking the room, guests can also use the digital key to open the hotel entrance gate and other common areas such as the fitness room, pool and club level lounges.

To get started with the digital key experience, guests can log in to their My Disney Experience app on their check in day and complete a brief set up process. Then, just tap the unlock button and hold the mobile device up to the door lock. Guests can use either option, the digital key feature or their Magic Bands, to open their resort room doors.

The new digital key feature is available at Wilderness Lodge including the Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas and Cabins. Disney plans to extend the new digital key option to other resorts in the coming months.

Disney Vacation Club Members Exclusive Nights at Splitsville Luxury Lanes

Disney Vacation Club(DVC) Members now have a member only night at Splitsville Luxury Lanes.  On select nights DVC members will have exclusive access to Splitsville for an out of the ordinary bowling experience. The retro-themed alley located in Disney Springs houses 50,000 square feet of fun, dining, billiards, live music, merchandise, and of course 30 bowling lanes.  See DVC Member Night details below!

Disneyland Bowling

Member night at Splitsville Luxury Lanes includes:

  • Member-exclusive check-in (bypass general entrance queue!)
  • 5 hours of bowling time
  • Shoe rental
  • Shared appetizer (per 2 people)
  • Select entrée (or kid’s meal)
  • A signature beverage
  • A special gift

When and Where

Remember, Wednesday is Member Night at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. That’s the night you can experience new highs in bowling—or come to cheer on the bowlers in your party.

Dates and Times:

  • Typically held on Wednesday nights
  • 6:00 PM

Price:

  • $47 for adults (plus tax)
  • $38 for children 9 and under (plus tax)

This event is exclusive to Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests. Space is limited. Advanced booking is required and can be made exclusively through Member Services up to one day prior to the event.

Please take note of some considerations concerning your attendance at Member Night at Splitsville Luxury Lanes:

  • Pre-payment is required. Full price will be forfeited if canceling within 2 days of the reservation or no-show.
  • Parties of 3 or less may be grouped with other parties on same lane.
  • Member night is subject to change or cancellation.
  • Bowling will start promptly at the designated time.
  • Members need to arrive 15 minutes before the start time to be checked in.
