Ring In 2019 With A 26 hour Tokyo Disney New Year’s Eve Party

26 hour Tokyo Disney New Year's Eve party

Do you have New Year’s Eve plans yet? There will be a 26 hour Tokyo Disney New Year’s Eve party to ring in 2019!

For those wanting to hear fireworks well into the wee hours of December 31st, you’ll need to grab a special ticket known as the New Year’s Eve Passport.  The New Year’s Eve Passport will go on sale this month.

With this pass guests will be able to enter either Tokyo Disney Resort – Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea – at 8pm on December 31.  And they can stay on property for a whole 26 hours of fun!  The most exciting part will be seeing the park after dark! Oh and snacking on all of that delicious park food!

On September 11 two types of passes will go on sale – one for Tokyo Disneyland and one for Tokyo DisneySea. Those passes will be good only at the park listed until 4am on New Year’s Day. Then they will grant you access to each park. Children and adults will use the same ticket, which will be on sale for 9,700 yen, or about $87 USD.

To get these special passes you’ll need to apply on this special site, giving you three chances to purchase. If demand exceeds supply, which it is anticipated to, a lottery will be held. The third round will only be open to those who did not get tickets in rounds one or two.

Would you like to party all night and ring in 2019 at Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea? If so, make sure you visit the special website to get your tickets – or be entered in the drawing!

Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course Reopens

Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course

Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course

Calling all golf fans! I am excited to announce that Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course at Walt Disney World has re-opened after a brief refurbishment. During the refurb, new paspalum greens were installed along with a few other magical touches.

Over the Summer, Walt Disney World Golf took the time to work on each of the nine greens, remove the original Bermudagrass variants, reshape the greens back to their original sizes and shapes, and use new Paspalum grass for the surface. The use of Paspalum allows the reduction of water and fertilizer use for greens maintenance and will provide more robust and healthier putting surfaces in the years ahead.

A new Mickey shaped bunker was added just behind the 9th green and introduces a golf course feature that has been exclusive to the par-3 6th hole on Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course since 1971. Be sure to stop by to take photos of this exciting new feature as you play at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course!

With these changes at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, Disney continues their commitment to enhance the Resort’s golf courses and to raise the bar on what it means to experience the magic of Walt Disney World Golf, operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management – “The Happiest Place on Turf!”

Are Tokyo Disney Resort Ticket Price Changes in the Works?

Tokyo Disney Resort ticket price changes

Could Tokyo Disney Resort ticket price changes be in the works?  It seems to be something Oriental Land Co. is considering.

Oriental Land Co. operates the Tokyo Disney Resort and they are currently considering a number of changes to admission fee structure at its theme parks. These changes include a fluctuating ticket prices determined by the number of visitors anticipated or simply raising prices across the board.

Ticket prices at the Tokyo Disney Resort have been the same since April of 2016.

President of Oriental Land Co., Kyoichiro Uenishi, recently discussed the matter during an interview with The Yomiuri Shimbun, a news outlet in Japan.

“We must be cautious about raising fees because consumer income has not increased much, although we can see a slight upturn in consumer confidence. It’s difficult [to determine],” Uenishi said.

Uenishi also discussed the planned consumption tax hike set for October 2019. He stated that Oriental Land Co. will consider its effect in the decisions they make.
There are plans by Oriental Land Co. to make a large investment in the theme parks to increase visitor satisfaction and to make them more accepting of an increase in ticket prices.  There are plans to open two new zones in the theme parks.  Once will be centered on the Disney classic, “Beauty and the Beast” and would ope in the spring of 2020.  The other will have ties to “Frozen” and open sometime during 2022.

Stayed tuned to Chip and Co for future updates on ticket prices at the Tokyo Disney Resort.
