Hollywood Studios is turning up the heat this summer, celebrating the arrival of our favorite baddies in the all-new “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” show with some devilishly cool treats inspired by the villains themselves. And leading the charge from the Underworld is a sinfully good dessert: the Hades Float!
This fiery new concoction pays delicious homage to the God of the Underworld from Disney’s Hercules. The star of the show is the high-quality vanilla bean ice cream, boasting a rich, creamy texture that perfectly blends with the vibrant syrup. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Prepare for a delightful surprise as tangy boba balls pop and burst with sweetness, adding an unexpected but welcome layer of texture and flavor to each spoonful. To top off this infernal delight, the float is dramatically garnished with wisps of blue cotton candy, mimicking Hades’ iconic blue “flames.”
We’re particularly fond of the Hades Float for the upcoming summer months, not just for its refreshing taste, but also for its practicality. Served conveniently in a cup, it ensures maximum enjoyment without the sticky, melty mess that can often accompany a cone in the Florida heat.
While it may be a tad pricey, the Hades Ice Cream Float is an absolute must-try for any villain fan. Its creative flavors, playful presentation, and nod to one of Disney’s most charismatic villains make it a standout treat at Hollywood Studios. Prepare to be enchanted by this devilishly delicious dessert!

Test Track Update in EPCOT: Opening Date Adjusted by Disney World
Test Track in Epcot has been closed for a refurbishment and was supposed to reopen this summer. Disney World has now updated the attraction’s reopening date.
The Test Track page on the official Walt Disney World website now has the note:
”Test Track presented by Chevrolet is being reimagined and is currently closed. The attraction will reopen in 2025. Please check back later for updates.”
The site previously said the attraction would reopen in “late summer 2025”. While Test Track should still reopen this year, we are bummed it won’t be by the end of the summer. Disney hasn’t said why the date has been pushed back so we can only assume the reimagining is taking longer than originally expected.

It’s Good to Be Bad: Unfairly Ever After Merch Has Arrived!
Calling all villain lovers and mischief makers! Get ready to dive into the deliciously dark world of “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” because the merch has dropped at Hollywood Studios, and it’s everything we’ve been dreaming of (and maybe a little bit evil, in the best way possible). If you’re anything like me, you’ve been eagerly awaiting a chance to snag some swag that celebrates our favorite misunderstood antagonists, and Disney has delivered in spades.
First up, let’s talk about the T-Shirt for $39.99. This isn’t just any black tee, folks. We’re talking a mineral wash pattern that gives it that perfectly lived-in, slightly gritty vibe, totally fitting for a villainous aesthetic. But the real star is the giant graphic on the front: the show’s poster, featuring the iconic Magic Mirror shattered into pieces, revealing our favorite baddies. We’ve got Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Jafar, Hades, Captain Hook, and the Evil Queen all making an appearance. It’s a fantastic, dynamic design that screams “I’m with the bad guys” in the most stylish way possible. No boring graphic on the back, keeping all the focus on that killer front design.
Next, quench your thirst for villainy with the Travel Tumbler for $27.99. This tumbler is a must-have for your daily dose of dark hydration. The Magic Mirror takes center stage again, with the “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” logo proudly displayed below. But the fun doesn’t stop there! The broken glass motif with the villains continues around the sides, giving you a 360-degree view of your favorite scoundrels. And just when you think it can’t get any better, there’s a pulled-back purple curtain graphic on the opposite side. The clear lid with a slide top is super practical, though remember to show this beauty some love by handwashing only (and keep it away from the microwave!).
For those who love to add a touch of villainous charm to their tree (or anywhere really!), behold the Magic Mirror Ornament for $22.99. This double-sided, flat ornament is just like those cool custom ones you find at the MaDe kiosks. One side showcases the Magic Mirror emerging from its fancy golden frame – very dramatic! Flip it over, and you’ve got the show’s logo printed on a rich purple background, complete with a matching purple ribbon for hanging. It’s a subtle yet striking piece that adds a touch of “Unfairly Ever After” to your decor.
And finally, to truly stick it to the heroes (pun intended!), we have the Die-Cut Magnet Set for a mere $14.99. Walt Disney World Railroad Frontierland Station Closing on July 7th
Walt Disney World has confirmed upcoming operational adjustments for the iconic Walt Disney World Railroad at Magic Kingdom, coinciding with the significant Frontierland expansion. Beginning July 7th, the day after the Rivers of America attractions permanently close, the railroad’s Frontierland station will also close, and the trains will operate in a limited “shuttle mode.”
During this period, the Walt Disney World Railroad will not complete its traditional grand circle tour of the park. Instead, it will travel backward and forward on the track exclusively between the Fantasyland station (located in Storybook Circus) and the Main Street, U.S.A. station.
To enhance guest comfort during these altered operations, Disney Imagineers will be modifying some of the seating. A number of the train benches will be flipped to face in the opposite direction, accommodating guests who prefer not to face backwards relative to the train’s primary forward motion when it operates in reverse.
These changes are being implemented to facilitate the major construction involved in the Frontierland expansion. This ambitious project is set to transform the land currently occupied by the Rivers of America, the Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island, and will notably bring the popular “Cars” franchise to Magic Kingdom for the first time. The Frontierland railroad station itself had undergone a refurbishment recently as part of the area’s transition from Splash Mountain to the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
By operating in “shuttle mode,” Disney aims to keep the beloved railroad accessible to guests for a portion of their Magic Kingdom visit, avoiding the kind of extended full closure experienced during the construction of TRON Lightcycle / Run. The Walt Disney World Railroad was famously closed for four years during that project, reopening in December 2022 after an extensive refurbishment which included track replacement.
Disney has not yet announced how long the railroad will operate in this shuttle mode, nor has an opening timeframe for the complete Frontierland expansion been detailed. Guests are advised to check the My Disney Experience app for the latest operational updates.
