Ever since the Epcot Minnie Mouse Ears were announced we’ve been eagerly awaiting their arrival! Well it looks like they have finally hit the store at Epcot, and they are fabulous! There are five different pairs available, four inspired by countries around the World Showcase, and one pair representing the beloved Bubblegum Wall!

These beautiful new ears feature a Spaceship Earth print, with a bow inspired by France, Germany, Mexico, or the UK, and the Bubblegum wall! Check out the close ups of these beauties below:

Festival of the Holiday’s at Epcot Passport, Park Map, and Times Guide.

The Festival of Holiday’s has begun today at Epcot and will run through December 30th, 2018.  Guests can celebrate the holidays through food, activities, and shows from different cultures from each of the 11 World Showcase nations.

Live musical productions will take place at different times in each of the different nations throughout the festival. Expanded holiday menus will also be available from the Holiday Kitchens as well. This is a fantastic time to come to Epcot and enjoy some holiday entertainment and food/drink offerings from around the world. D23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse Weekend Roundup

D23 Members were invited to join the fun and excitement of Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse, the ultimate birthday celebration honoring 90 years of the mouse that started it all! Chip and Co was invited for the special media-only event this weekend and we had such a good time.  Thank you so much to Disney and D23 for bringing us on this fun adventure! To kick off an unforgettable weekend, Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek stopped by to pay tribute to everyone’s favorite mouse, and share some exciting updates from our resorts around the world.
Newly announced presentations, including legendary film producer Don Hahn, Imagineers Kevin Rafferty and Charita Carter, and a behind-the-scenes peek at the Mickey: The True Original Exhibition.
The Walt Disney Archives presents Mickey’s Magical Kingdoms, an all-new exhibit celebrating Mickey’s historic role at Disney’s theme parks around the world.

New this year, Mickey’s of Glendale is thrilled to extend a brand-new way to purchase Destination Dlimited-edition pins. Rather than wait in line to purchase pins in-store during Destination D, all attendees have the opportunity to partake in a RSP Preference Selection process!
Guests will have the opportunity to kick things off on Friday, November 16, with optional early check-in. Once checked in, Destination D guests can enjoy the following:

Mickey’s of Glendale—The famed Walt Disney Imagineering store returns with a pop-up shop at the event for attendees, featuring a selection of exclusive Walt Disney Imagineering merchandise, apparel, and collectibles themed to the event.
Mickey Marketplace—For the first time ever, D23 is thrilled to debut a Mickey Marketplace inside Disney’s Contemporary Convention Center. Exclusively available to Destination D attendees, a handful of retailers will offer limited Mickey-branded products.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Gets a Seventh Season

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. came to ABC in 2013 and has been going strong ever since.  It is so strong, in fact, that ABC has already ordered a seventh season.  With so many of the Netflix series coming to an unexpected end, there were fans that suspected Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be next.  It looks like that is not to be the case.  Season six does not air until July 2019, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping ABC.  Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has been known to tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the movies are released.  It is possible they are using this time to avoid any repercussions from Avengers: Infinity War.  By waiting, they have eliminated the need to work within the confines of Avengers: Infinity War and the sequel due out in early 2019.

Some of the characters were left in a sort of limbo at the end of season five, so it will be interesting to see how the story progresses in the coming seasons.  They have also been known to bring in guest stars from the movies.  Perhaps we will be seeing some familiar faces in the coming seasons?  Rumors of Chloe Bennet (Daisy “Skye” Johnson) in her new outfit as Quake have started to circulate in recent days.  Also returning to the show for season six (and seven?) are Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, and Jeff Ward.  With so many of our favorite characters returning, it is bound to continue to be an adventure.

Experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Today at D23’s Destination D details were announced about the new first-ever ride-through attraction themed to Mickey Mouse! Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway was developed by Imagineers to create new two-dimensional cartoon into a ride experience.  The ride sounds like a fun and interactive experience but for me will still be a little bittersweet as it will be going into the old Grauman’s Chinese Theatre replacing the Great Movie Ride which was one of my favorite places to cool off and relax while visiting the parks. The lines were never long and it was always nice and cool in there.

On the attraction, the fun begins when you see the premiere of a new cartoon short with Mickey and Minnie getting ready for a picnic. As they head out, they drive alongside a train and find out that the engineer is Goofy. Then, one magical moment lets you step into the movie and on Goofy’s train for a wacky, wild ride. The ride is set to open in 2019 alongside so many other amazing new additions to Hollywood Studios and Disney parks.

Take a Look at the New Disney Skyliner

This week, Walt Disney World Resort announced on the Disney Parks Blog that the Disney Skyliner gondolas would be operating starting in the fall of 2019.  Today, they showed us the gondolas themselves.  Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Consumer Products unveiled the new gondola to the fans at D23’s Destinations D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse Event.  The gondolas will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to three existing hotels and one brand new one.  They are Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  They will also link to the brand new Disney Vacation Club property, Disney’s Riviera Resort.  We have also been told they will have passive ventilation to keep air moving!

Disney Skyliner

Some of the gondolas will have these adorable character designs on them, as well!  This will make it look like some of your favorite Disney characters are riding along with you in the gondola.  The picture above is just a taste of the designs that will be incorporated.  They have promised us the “Fab Five,” some attraction characters, movie characters, and more.  We are super excited about the new gondolas and can’t wait to ride the Disney Skyliner.

More Holiday Offerings at Disney Springs

The holidays are just around the corner, and that means some great offerings at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Here are some great options you can find at Disney Springs.

First up is Paddlefish.  Normally serving delicious seafood plates, guests will be able to find a traditional Thanksgiving dinner here.  Herb roasted turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, whipped potatoes, green beans, cranberry relish, and pan gravy can be yours at Paddlefish.  This meal will be $34 per adult and $17 per child.  For Christmas, Paddlefish will be offering a One Pound Rib Eye with king crab mash, asparagus, and a red wine demi-glace for $46 per adult.  On New Year’s Eve, they will be serving up a Surf and Turf.  This will be a filet, shrimp skewer, crab hollandaise, and whipped potatoes for $49 per adult.

Terralina Crafted Italian will also get in on the holiday fun.  For Thanksgiving, they will be offering a grappa marinated roast turkey, pancetta-apple bread stuffing, buttered green beans, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted winter squash, and natural gravy for $36 per adult.  For Christmas, Terralina Crafted Italian will be serving up rosemary crusted lamb chops, seared scallops, creamy gorgonzola polenta, wilted baby spinach, and herbed gremolata for $48 per adult.  We also can’t forget New Year’s Eve.  Terralina Crafted Italian will be offering a grilled 8 ounce filet of beef with Sambuca jumbo shrimp, saffron whipped potatoes, and garlic and parmesan asparagus at $52 per adult.

These holiday menus sound delicious, and they are not the only things happening at these restaurants for the holidays.  Try the Terralina Crafted Italian’s Holiday Risotto Cooking Class on December 15th.  You can also head over to Paddlefish for some classes, as well.  The first class is the Paddlefish Holiday Cooking Class on December 8th.  Next up is a Rooftop Wine Experience, also at Paddlefish.  Paddlefish will round out their offerings with a Holiday Mixology Class on December 12th.  Check out their websites to reserve your spot in these not to miss events.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort annual carousel entirely made of gingerbread has been completed. When you walk into the resort the delicious smell of spice and candy immediately hits you.  The carousel is made by the Yacht and Beach Bakery and Engineering Team for the 19th straight year.  The entire structure, which actually rotates around,  is made from 36 pounds of honey, 96 pounds or bread flour, 100 pints of egg, 10 pounds of spices, 10 quarts or simple syrup, 150 pounds of icing, 50 pounds of dark chocolate, 50 pounds of modeling chocolate, and 200 gum paste flowers.  Another fun tidbit is the carousel has 19 hidden Mickey’s you can try to find throughout.

Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris Reopening Date Revealed!

The Phantom Manor ride at Disneyland Paris reopening date has been revealed! According to the Disneyland Paris official calendar, it appears as though the ride will reopen for guests on the 16th February 2019! The ride is reopening after a year-long refurbishment.

Originally the ride was meant to reopen in Autumn/ Fall 2018, however, during the FanDaze event in June 2018, it was revealed that the refurbishment was taking longer than expected. During the announcement, it was also revealed that the newly, refurbished ride will incorporate recordings of the legendary Vincent Price. Finally, it has also been teased that the new storyline will reveal the Phantom’s true identity!
