New Posters for “Christopher Robin”

Christopher Robin posters

Adorable posters for Disney’s new “Christopher Robin” premiered a couple of days ago. It’s amazing how they have brought these characters to life! Take a look!

Out of the Hundred Acre Wood and into the big city. Winnie the Pooh is back to help the all-grown-up working-class family man, Christopher Robin, the only way a little-stuffed bear can.

In the heartwarming live action adventure Disney’s “Christopher Robin,” the young boy who shared countless adventures with his band of lovable stuffed animals in the Hundred Acre Wood is now grown up and living in London but he has lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin rediscover the joys of family life, the value of friendship and to appreciate the simple pleasures in life once again.

Pixar Place Closes at Hollywood Studios

Pixar Place closed

Pixar Place at Hollywood Studios is now walled off and closed to Guests. With the opening of the new Toy Story Land, they were keeping it open to the overflow of Guests and FastPass lines, but since they have more of a control of the crowds, they have now walled it off. Guests can still access the restrooms on the corner of Pixar Place. No word as to what will become of Pixar Place at this time.

Pixar Place Closes at Hollywood Studios

Pixar Place resembled the Emeryville, California campus of Pixar Animation Studios. Its sole attraction was Toy Story Midway Mania!, an interactive 4D attraction inspired by classic carnival midway games, hosted by characters of the Toy Story film series. Pixar Place was also the home of Luxo, Jr., a six-foot-tall audio-animatronics version of Pixar’s desk-lamp mascot.

PHOTOS: All-Star Movies Room Refurbishment Updates

All-Star Movies Room Refurbishment

One of the most exciting topics at Walt Disney World right now is the amazing (and much needed) room refurbishments happening at Disney’s Value Resorts. Disney’s Pop Century Resort was the first to receive the facelift and work has now begun on Disney’s All-Star Movies room refurbishment.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is almost complete with the whole project expected to be done in August 2018. Disney is planning to move through each of the All-Stars to dole out the same upgrades as Pop Century received including replacing the carpets with hard flooring, moving from two double beds to one queen bed and a dining room table (like those found in the family suites at Art of Animation) that can be pulled down to a bed that can accommodate two additional guests. The bathrooms are also being renovated with extra shelving and many featuring walk-in showers. You can check out my previous Pop Century article with photos of the refurbished rooms HERE.

We made our way over to check on the progress of the All-Star Movies room refurbishment and were pleasantly surprised to find that the both Toy Story themed buildings 9 (Woody) and 10 (Buzz) are now complete. Work has now begun on Fantasia building 8 which is now closed and undergoing refurb.

Based on how quickly Disney completed Pop Century we would expect Disney’s All-Star Movies to be complete by the end of 2018. Disney will then move on to tackle All-Star Music followed by All-Star Sports. The goal is to have all Values refurbished by 2020.

The Adorable Stitch Bubble Blower Is Out Of This World Fun

Stitch Bubble Blower

Ohana means family, and I don’t know about yours, but my family loves bubbles! A Disney bubble wand or blower is always a must for us. While checking out at the Disney Corner store in Disney Springs, I fell in love with this adorable Stitch Bubble Blower!

You can find this cute little alien at select shops through out the Disney Parks and Resorts, where toys and bubble wands are sold, as well as shopDisney. He’s a full three dimensional plastic character, that opens up to fit the bubble container. The bubble blower even comes with a Stitch themed bottle of bubbles! The automated blower activates when you tilt his head back. The eyes also light up when you press the button on Stitch’s hand.

The Stitch Bubble Blower retails for $23.47, and makes a really cute addition to the Disney bubble family!

Ways to Stay Cool While Visiting the Disneyland Resort

Summertime in Southern California can be quite warm so while you are visiting the Disneyland Resort, you will probably be looking for ways to escape the heat at the parks. Here are some great ways to take a break or cool down during the summer months.

In Case You Missed It: Aliens at the Airport

Aliens at MCo

There’s a new, green crew greeting travelers arriving at the Orlando Airport. That’s right, there are aliens at the airport. Not the spooky kind we used to encounter on The Great Movie Ride, but the cute, little green guys from all of your favorite Toy Story movies. The green aliens have stopped by to greet Earthlings as part of the Toy Story Land opening celebration.

Aliens at MCO

The Orlando Airport (MCO) is home to a Disney Store- perfect for the last minute souvenir you may have forgotten and also a quick taste of Disney for those passing through. As most Disney fans know, you haven’t really arrived at MCO until you’ve had your picture taken at the Disney Store (perhaps with Goofy or Snow White), so now you can get your Insta pics with the new aliens at the airport.

Discover Magic at Disney After Hours Event 2018

Discover Magic at Disney After Hours Event 2018

Discover Magic at a Disney After Hours Event.   Magic Kingdom, at the Walt Disney World Resort, is hosting this hard ticketed event during select nights through September.  Here is a Review of our experience from the July 14th evening of fun.

We began our evening at the Transportation and Ticket Center.  A Cast Member handed us our event tickets and the Disney After Hours brochure.  The monorail provided us the transportation needed on our journey to Discover Magic.

Discover Magic at Disney After Hours Event 2018

Upon our arrival at the Magic Kingdom, we were greeted by a Cast Member who welcomed us to the Disney After Hours Event.

Discover Magic

As we entered the park, dusk was upon us.  We ventured around the Magic Kingdom to Discover Magic in the form of some lovely scenery.  Belle and Beast’s Castle was aglow, atop its mountain of rocks, in the dimming light.

Once Upon A Time, our first attempt to Discover Magic took place in the form of making a wish upon a  Princesses castle.  The beautiful Castle, pictured above, belongs to none other than Cinderella and her Prince Charming.  The colors and pictures projected onto the Castle were nothing short of magnificent!

Our second attempt to Discover Magic took place aboard a crafty corny joke boat.  The Skipper, and two Chip and Company representatives, boarded the vessel to cruise through a curious jungle.  Luckily, after journeying for “Niles and Niles,”  witnessing the “backside of water” and meeting Trader Sam we arrived back to where it all began.

Official wait times were actually walk-right-on-times! There were literally no lines for any rides.  We experienced almost every single ride offered at the Magic Kingdom in about 2.5 hours.

Discover Magic

In fact, the only lines we experienced were the lines for the snack carts.

Snacks from the snack carts were complimentary all evening long.

After contemplating for 13 minutes, and agreeing we were NOT going to pick up any hitch-hiking ghosts, we approached the Haunted Mansion.  Even in our attempts to Discover Magic, prior to entering this building the hair on the back of our necks began to tingle.  We turned and were startled to discover Madame Leota staring at us “from regions beyond.”

After a Doom Buggy tour of the Haunted Mansion, we moved around the park to experience a multitude of additional experiences.

We enjoyed the opportunity to Discover Magic in the form of some fabulous photo-ops.

We realized that our time to Discover Magic was coming to a close.  We meandered through the park to take notice of the sheer beauty of the Magic Kingdom Park at Night.  Three hours flew by and we had such a fabulous time.  We will back to experience the Character Meets on our next adventure to Discover Magic.

Prior to exiting the park, we took a moment to stop and say “Thank you” to Walt Disney and the infamous Mouse who started it all.

You can see our Live Video of The Kiss Goodnight here:

We wish to extend a special “Thank  you” to the folks of the Disney Company and Walt Disney World for providing us the opportunity to Discover Magic.  The Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom provides an incredible opportunity to enjoy the park at a more relaxed pace.  If your plans can fit in this event, you will find the price to be worth the benefits incurred by this experience.

Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park is a hard ticketed event that will run you $119 for advance purchase per person age 3 and up, $124 the day of the event or $89 for Annual Passholders.                                                                                                                                        The dates currently available are as follows: July 21 & 28 and August 4 & 11,  from 10:00 pm-1:00 am.  August 30 & September 20 from 9:00 pm-12:00 am.
