As part of this refurbishment, the Tangaroa Tree outside the attraction was rebuilt. It looks like the tree’s classic “New Life Fall” effect will be returning as part of this restoration!
This refurbishment of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is also perfectly timed for Disneyland’s 70th-anniversary celebration on July 17! Even though the show opened eight years after the park, it’s become a classic and beloved attraction that’s truly synonymous with Disneyland.

The mural near Magic Kingdom’s Tangled restrooms just got its 2025 refresh! The ground section, which tends to show wear and tear, is repainted annually to keep the colors vibrant and fresh.
This particular mural, inspired by Rapunzel’s wall paintings in “Tangled,” features a vibrant purple background adorned with yellow suns. The design gracefully curves from the wall of the women’s restroom entrance down across the adjacent pavement. Due to constant foot traffic, the ground portion of the mural experiences significant wear and tear. That’s why it gets its annual refresh, ensuring the ground art always matches the more durable wall section, which resists fading much longer.
The mural itself is a vibrant display of purple, pink, and orange hues, intricately detailed with dots and floral patterns. Thanks to the recent refresh, the individual plants and swirls are now sharper and more vividly colored. This enhanced detail is particularly noticeable because, during the last repaint of this section, the purple was a plain, solid color, lacking the rich elements found on the rest of the wall.
You’ll find these famous “Tangled” restrooms in Fantasyland, right next to “it’s a small world.” Before they were built, this spot was home to an old Skyway station. Even after the Skyway closed down in 1999, that station just sat empty— aside from its queue being used for stroller parking—until it was finally torn down in 2012.
