New Details Emerge for Disney Destiny’s 101 Dalmatians-Inspired De Vil’s Lounge

Get ready for a villainous good time! Disney Cruise Line recently shared new details about De Vil’s, a brand-new 101 Dalmatian-themed piano lounge that will be featured on the Disney Destiny.

Earlier this year, Disney Cruise Line announced De Vil’s, and now we’re getting a sneak peek at this new piano lounge, including some of its furnishings and Cast Member costumes. Located just off the ship’s Grand Hall, the lounge will feature a marquee spelling out “De Vil’s” with piano key-inspired letters. The floor will boast a mosaic of black and white tiles that read “How Marvelous”—Cruella’s iconic catchphrase—surrounded by 15 paw prints, symbolizing Pongo and Perdita’s original 15 puppies.

Inside, De Vil’s Lounge is designed to perfectly capture “Cruella’s flair for style and wickedly bold attitude.” You’ll find uniquely shaped furnishings with a luxurious feel, featuring rich textures and couture fabrics. The lounge itself draws heavily from Cruella’s signature black and white color palette, punctuated with vibrant red accents.

The carpet’s design is particularly special, appearing “ink-splotched and hand-drawn.” This unique look is a direct tribute to animator Ken Anderson, who was responsible for the highly stylized character designs in One Hundred and One Dalmatians.

A spotted piano, which we saw during our April preview, will be the venue’s focal point. Disney Parks Blog shared a downloadable wallpaper of the piano’s spotted pattern.

De Vil’s will serve “trendy martinis, chic cocktails, and glamorous wines and bubblies,” including drinks named the Fashionista and the Fearless Sir Galahad.

Cruella de Vil will appear on the Disney Destiny in two entertainment offerings. Guests will be able to put their style to the test on Cruella’s runway while she provides live commentary. She may also recruit guests to create a more flattering tribute to her when she hears the song “Cruella de Vil” on board.

The Disney Destiny is scheduled for its maiden voyage from Port Everglades on November 20, 2025, kicking off a season of inaugural sailings. This new ship embraces a Heroes and Villains theme, highlighted by a Black Panther Grand Hall statue and a Spider-Man stern character.

Annual Passholder Park Passes Sell Out for Debut of Disney Starlight Parade at Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom Park Pass reservations for Annual Passholders are now fully booked on July 20, 2025, the premiere date for the highly anticipated “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” nighttime parade. This new addition marks the first year-round nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom since Main Street Electrical Parade flickered its last light in 2016. With fan excitement skyrocketing, it’s no surprise that Annual Passholder reservations for that date have already vanished from the booking calendar.

What Passholders Need to Know

If you didn’t grab a Park Pass for Magic Kingdom in time, all hope is not lost:

Reservations are still available for EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 20.
- Park Hopping is allowed after 2 p.m., so Passholders may be able to enter Magic Kingdom later in the day — if it’s not at capacity.
Starting July 20, a Park Pass reservation will be required to enter Magic Kingdom at any time of day, even after 2 p.m., so you’ll still need a valid reservation for some park to Park Hop.
Keep checking, as Disney sometimes releases more reservation slots or availability may reopen if guests cancel.

Guests with regular theme park tickets and Disney Resort hotel reservations still have access to Magic Kingdom Park Passes for July 20 — for now.

About “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away”

This nighttime spectacle lights up the sky — and the parade route — with glowing floats themed to Disney favorites including Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Frozen, Encanto, Wish, Moana, and Coco. The parade will feature brand-new looks for Mickey and Friends and travel the route in reverse — starting in Frontierland and ending on Main Street, U.S.A.

The show will run twice nightly at 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., except on nights when Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled. Magic Kingdom operating hours have been extended to accommodate the new nighttime entertainment offering.

Disney Extends Hours for Liberty Square Riverboat Ahead of Permanent Closure at Magic Kingdom

Liberty Square Riverboat Extends Hours Ahead of Final Voyage at Magic Kingdom

All aboard for one last cruise through Disney history! The Liberty Belle Riverboat in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square is officially steaming into its final days — and Disney has quietly extended its operating hours to give guests a bit more time to say goodbye.

According to updated signage at the dock and the Walt Disney World website, the Liberty Belle is now opening an hour earlier, with daily operation from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through July 8, 2025 — the steamboat’s last day of operation before it sails off into the sunset for good.

This bittersweet farewell comes ahead of the permanent closure of the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Belle Riverboat, all of which are making way for a Cars-themed expansion in Frontierland. While the boat’s final voyage is scheduled for July 8, guests will still be able to visit the area briefly before construction walls go up later in the month. Demolition permits for the overhaul were already filed and approved earlier this year.

A Legacy on the Water

The Rivers of America have been a tranquil, nostalgic staple of Magic Kingdom since the park opened on October 1, 1971. The Liberty Belle’s roots stretch back even further than her current name — she originally debuted as the Richard F. Irvine in 1973, sharing the waterway with the Admiral Joe Fowler, which sadly met its end in 1980 after a dry dock accident.

In 1996, the Richard F. Irvine was refurbished and renamed the Liberty Belle, honoring America’s riverboat heritage and continuing the tradition of scenic journeys around Frontierland and Liberty Square. Now, after more than 50 years of riverboat magic, her bell will ring for the last time.

Also vanishing with this transformation is the former Mike Fink Keelboats dock, which most recently served as an overflow queue for The Haunted Mansion as well as a slice of Walt-era charm that once included the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes.

Though there’s reportedly still internal discussion among Imagineering about the future of the Liberty Square Riverboat concept, the countdown has begun. So if you’re hoping to take one more ride aboard this paddle-wheeler of yesteryear, make sure to catch her before the curtain closes on July 6.
