Walt Disney World Celebrates Independence Day 4th with special 4th of July Celebrations

An all-American red, white and blue fireworks spectacular will bathe the sky this Independence Day at Walt Disney World Resort, joined by live entertainment, scrumptious treats and patriotic pageantry.

Here’s what’s in store for Fourth of July 2019:

Magic Kingdom Park – Park Hours: July 3, 8 a.m.-12 a.m.; July 4, 8 a.m.-1 a.m.

“Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” offers booming fireworks orchestrated to patriotic melodies showering the Magic Kingdom sky on both July 3 and July 4 at 9:15 p.m. Guests can also dance the night away with DJs spinning tunes at a Hoedown Throwdown in Frontierland and an out-of-this-world Galactic Gathering in Tomorrowland. Fans at home can join in the Independence Day celebration by viewing a special July 4 live stream of the dazzling fireworks display on the Disney Parks Blog.
A fuzzy cast of Muppets – Miss Piggy, Kermit, Fozzie Bear and friends – reenact famous moments in American history in a whimsical way during “The Muppets Present … Great Moments in History.” The live show is performed several times daily near the Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square.

Epcot – Park Hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

“IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” will end its nearly 20-year run on September 30, 2019. So this will be the last chance to experience the patriotic Fourth of July grand finale of this beloved nighttime spectacular. “The Heartbeat of Freedom” fireworks extravaganza will begin immediately following the 9 p.m. “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” display.
A cappella vocal group Voices of Liberty will perform great American tunes during a Fourth of July concert on the America Gardens Theatre stage at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. on July 4. The group also will perform in the rotunda inside The American Adventure pavilion at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Guests can meet favorite Disney characters donning their “Spirit of ’76” patriotic attire at The American Adventure throughout the day on July 4.
Guests can indulge in themed eats and sips honoring Independence Day throughout the park – everything from patriotic cupcakes and special dining packages to red, white, and blue sangria and a Boom Berry Lemonade.

New graduating high school seniors for the year 2020 will be able an experience once-in-a-lifetime event that will relive your high school memories by adding another core memory to your memory base.

During each date available for the 2020 Grad Nite, guests can choose between 3 packages per grad nite date. Each package offers more time, flexibility and Disneyland Resort access while the celebrate an unforgettable night and year.

Package 1 offers the Grad Nite Private Party Experience at Disney California Adventure Park. 2020 Graduates gain exclusive access to Disney California Adventure Park after 9 p.m. as the park transforms into one giant celebration. The park will feature dance parties, attractions, and character meet-and-greets dressed in their graduation attire!

Package 2 allows graduates full-day access to Disney California Adventure Park during normal operating hours PLUS the 2020 Grad Nite private party experience! It sounds like a deal!

Featured after Woodys boot with Bonnie’s name written on the bottom, this cup is around until it’s sold out at Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs!

There are limits on purchase, so hopefully people don’t purchase and pop online for resale.

Another Round of Layoffs Hits Disney and Fox Film Studios. As the two entertainment conglomerates are woven together, there is an effort to reduce redundancies within the studios.

The Hollywood Reporter brought notice to the layoffs, which occurred on Wednesday, June 19th. Though an official number has not been released by The Walt Disney Company, it has been reported that the number of employees released is less than the last few rounds of layoffs, which included the termination of nearly 140 people combined.

“Our integration process will be an evolution, with some businesses impacted more than others,” Iger wrote in a statement from earlier in the year. “We’ve made many critical decisions already, but some areas still require further evaluation. We may not have answers to all of your questions at this moment, but we understand how vital information is, and we’re committed to moving as quickly as possible to provide clarity regarding how your role may be impacted.”

“This is an extraordinary and historic moment for us — one that will create significant long-term value for our company and our shareholders,” Iger continued. “Combining Disney’s and 21st Century Fox’s wealth of creative content and proven talent creates the preeminent global entertainment company, well positioned to lead in an incredibly dynamic and transformative era.”

Unfortunately, a side affect to mergers of this capacity is the need to cut out unnecessary expenses and positions within the companies. Though this is hardly a surprise for anyone who understands how businesses must operate in these situations, it does not make it any easier to see people loosing their jobs.

There will undoubtedly be more layoffs in the future as the studios consolidate even further. We wish the best to those who find themselves in this unfortunate circumstance and that they are able to find work soon.

The newest resort is set to open December 19, 2019, just in time for Christmas and New Years! It boasts a beautiful Italian menu with fresh, delicious seafood and meat dishes, handmade pasta and decadent desserts infused with French and Italian flavors at this signature rooftop dining experience straight from the Riviera. The menu is inspired by the cliffside restaurants of France and Italy, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera and gets its name from the Italian word for Mickey Mouse, Topolino.

Happy “Toy Story 4” Day and what better way to celebrate than with the first look at “Toy Story Play Days” at Disneyland Paris! To celebrate the release of Disney & Pixar’s “Toy Story 4”, Disneyland Paris has created “Toy Story Play Days”, which is an 11-day celebration dedicated to Woody and friends. This celebratory event is running from the 18th to the 28th June 2019, inviting guests of all ages to be apart of this playful Toy Story adventure!
