New Resort Liner C Coming to Tokyo Disneyland Resort in 2020!

According to Tokyo Disneyland blog, there is a new monorail called Resort Liner C coming to Tokyo Disneyland in 2020. This will be the first new vehicle since the opening of the park in 2001. The development concept will bring the resort inside the monorail, where the interior will look like Mickey Mouse with Mickey-shaped straps (with three height levels) as well as Mickey-shaped windows and more! This monorail will be larger than the previous monorails.

Resort Liner C at Tokyo Disneyland will contain 6 carriages with the hope of introducing more monorails like Resort Liner C by the end of 2024. The exterior of the monorail will follow the resort lines currently in operation, that is a two colour separated by a soft, wavering wave. However, the Mickey windows will be larger on the new monorail than previous, improving guests’ visibility.

The interior will be wider and taller than previous, with long seats to improve comfort and capacity. Each vehicle will have free space and wide spaces on the 3rd and 4th cars. In addition, the Mickey-shaped strap has a layout that can be enjoyed by children and adults by setting the height to three levels. By changing the interior lighting to LED and using indirect lighting, this will improve the feel of the carriage.

Celebrate The Return Of Maleficent At The Disneyland Resort

Disney’s “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” debuts in theaters on October 18th and the Disneyland Resort is getting in the wicked spirit! Guests of the Resort don’t have to wait to celebrate the Mistress of Evil at the box office. There are plenty of ways to celebrate Maleficent at the parks!

First, at Disneyland Park, brush up on your Maleficent history and explore where the story began. Take a walk through Sleeping Beauty Castle as it depicts the story of Princess Aurora with sounds, special effects, and a familiar cackle!

In front of the castle, is where you can find the Maleficent Churro! This tasty treat is covered with chocolate cookie crumbles that are blended with colored sugar! Grab the marshmallow dipping sauce to go with this churro for a wickedly delicious snack.

While you are around Sleeping Beauty Castle, be on the look out. You might just catch a glimpse of the enchanted fairy, herself!

Into the evening, guests can enjoy a Villains Dance Party. This party takes place at the Tomorrowland Terrace at Disneyland and features some of your favorite baddies. As you dance the night away, Maleficent might make an appearance!

Then make your way to the Rivers of America to see the nighttime spectacular, “Fantasmic!” Journey through the imagination of Mickey Mouse where anything is possible. Including an encounter with a 45 foot fire breathing dragon named Maleficent. You’re going to want to see how this one ends!

Last, don’t forget to catch an exclusive sneak peek of “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” at the Sunset Showcase Theater. Scenes from the film will be screening after performances of “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” at Disney California Adventure Park!

Sony Pictures Creates ‘TheDailyBugle.net’ Starring J. Jonah Jameson. To celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home on Digital and with the DVD/Blu-ray launch early next week, Sony Pictures has created a “real life” The Daily Bugle, in the form of an online network called: thedailybugle.net.

The fully functioning website shares a special video from none other than J. Jonah Jameson himself, J. K. Simmons, sharing his take on Spider-Man and Mysterio!

“Spider-Man, a psychopath wielding powers he has no right to possess, trying to pass himself off as a hero,” Jameson shouts in the video. “Well, let me tell you something, kid, you’re no hero! Mysterio, that’s a hero. You are a criminal, a miscreant, a masked marauder, a menace!”

The website also features stories based on the incidents in Spider-Man: Far From Home, including articles about Night Monkey, the missing Hydro-Man, and even the recent “raid” on Area 51. (Yes, really)

Actor J. K. Simmons reprised his role as J. Jonah Jameson from the original Spider-Man trilogy starring Toby Maguire and Kristen Dunst for Spider-Man: Far From Home and appeared at the end of the film to tell the world a great BIG twisted secret. (No spoilers though, just in case you haven’t seen Far From Home yet!)

Marvel fans are still processing the potential that Spider-Man may never return to the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), but it is nice to see a good fan service by Sony Pictures for Marvel Fans. There may be hope for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to return to the MCU should Sony Pictures be sold to interested companies such as Apple and Netflix. Josh D’Amaro No Longer President of Disneyland, Accepts President Position At Disney World

Josh D’Amaro also known as the current president of Disneyland Resorts. Announced today via Instagram, that he will be leaving his position at Disneyland and accepting the president position at Disney World Resorts in Orlando. D’Amaro though is no stranger to the Disney World resorts. According to publicaffairs.disneyland.com: “D’Amaro, previously led Resorts & Transportation Operations for the Walt Disney World Resort. As senior vice president, he oversaw the operation of the 26 Walt Disney World resort hotels as well as Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort.”

D’Amaro will continue as Disneyland president for a few more weeks to help Rebecca Campbell, the incoming Disneyland Resort president. Campbell currently leads as president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the company’s direct-to-consumer and international segment.

All of these changes coming after Disney Parks West President Catherine Powell, announced that she will be stepping down.

Disruption at Disneyland Paris as Man Takes Drugs and Disappears!

A disruption happened on Friday night as a man took drugs at Disneyland Paris and disappears! According to leparisien.fr, the man’s partner gave him LSD and after taking the drug, he fell into the water in the Adventureland area near Captain Hook’s Pirate Ship. After failing to reappear, the man’s partner alerted Cast Members.

After the alert was raised, around 30 firefighters, including 10 divers, 80 cast members, police and dogs as well as a police helicopter with a thermal camera supported the investigation of the disappeared man. The man who took the drugs at Disneyland Paris was finally found at 00:30 and claimed that he did not remember anything. He did not require hospitalization, so he was taken to the Police station and charged with custody for narcotics. The couple were released on Saturday at around 4 pm after being subject to a drug recall.

This situation did not impact Disneyland Park, the guests or the attractions.

New Walt Disney World Offer for Canada Residents

Canadians can now save 20% on a 4-day or longer theme park ticket. This offer is valid now through December 31st, 2020. You must book by February 7th, 2020!

Here’s an example of the great savings from Disney’s website:

“A 4-day theme park ticket (1 park per day) with a start date of October 5, 2019, Canada residents would pay $87 USD per day, plus tax ($345 USD total plus tax) compared to the non-discounted price of $108 USD per day, plus tax ($432 USD total plus tax) a non-Canadian resident would pay.”

The Goldbergs’ visit Disneyland in celebration of their 7th season!

ABC’s the Goldbergs’ are in their 7th season. What better way to celebrate but to visit the Happiest Place on Earth – Disneyland!

It was a dream come true while at Disneyland park for the season premiere filming of ABC’s “The Goldbergs” as they pay tribute to the iconic 1983 film “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”

In tonight’s “Vacation” episode, Beverly insists the family take a road trip to go on vacation to Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. before Erica and Barry go off to college. But, like the film, things do not go as planned as they travel across the country.

During and between the taping, the cast was able to ride attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, meet Woody, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, and check out Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

John Stamos and Graham Phillips Have Been Cast For ABC’s “The Little Mermaid Live!“

Following John Stamos‘s performance as Chef Louis in the Hollywood Bowl production of “The Little Mermaid,”
two-time Emmy ® Award-nominated actor and producer John Stamos will reprise his role as the
eccentric French cook, Chef Louis in “The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!,” airing
TUESDAY, NOV. 5 (8:00–10:00 p.m. EST), live on ABC.

Joining Stamos and the previously announced cast including Auli’i Cravalho (Ariel), Queen Latifah (Ursula) and Shaggy (Sebastian) is Graham Phillips. Phillips is known for his work on “The Good Wife,” who will return to his live theater
roots in the role of Prince Eric. Both Stamos and Phillips will draw from their extensive stage experience, Stamos having made his Broadway debut in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” before joining the casts of Tony® Award-nominated “The Best Man,” and Tony Award-winning musicals “Nine” and “Cabaret,” among others. Phillips originated the role of Evan in Broadway’s “13.”

As previously announced, “The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!” will
honor the 30 th anniversary of the beloved animated classic through a never-before-seen hybrid
format that will take viewers on a magical adventure under the sea as live musical performances by
a star-studded cast are interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film. The live musical
event will feature beautifully intricate sets and costumes by three-time Emmy Award-winning
designer, Zaldy, with music from the original animated film and the Tony Award-nominated
Broadway stage version, originally composed by eight-time Oscar ® -winning composer, Alan Menken.
Howard Ashman’s iconic film lyrics will also be showcased, while lyricist for the Broadway
adaptation, Glenn Slater, will contribute to the star-studded spectacular as well. Joining this all-star
creative team are choreographers Nick Florez and RJ Durrell, who recently completed work on
P!nk’s The Beautiful Trauma World Tour.

“The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!” is produced by Done+Dusted. Executive producers include Done+Dusted’s Hamish Hamilton, who will also direct, Katy Mullan, David Jammy, Raj Kapoor and Ian Stewart. Also executive producing is Richard Kraft, producer and director of the acclaimed Hollywood Bowl productions of “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast.”

The Little Mermaid Live! is set to air Tuesday, Nov. 5, on ABC

Catherine Powell Leaves The Walt Disney Company After 15 Years

The Walt Disney Company announced this past Monday, that Catherine Powell, president of Disney Parks West is leaving the company.

She was in charge of Disneyland Paris as well as the american parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney World since 2004.

The company mentioned she is departing to do something different but didn’t release any further details about her position being eliminated, however her departure is coincidental with the attendance fall of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. She was part of the recent opening of both lands over in Orlando and California.

Disney’s CEO Bob Iger said back in August that some guest might be putting off visiting the new lands for fear of big crowds, in addition hotels around the Anaheim area raised prices in anticipation of the opening of SWGE. We are not sure if this has something to do with Powell leaving the company but it might be a good possibility.

“Guest satisfaction, interest in the attraction and in the land is extremely high, they’re among the most popular things in the park. And so long term, and we build these things for long term, we have no concerns whatsoever about them” said Iger. “So we feel great about the product we’ve created. It’s just going to take some time for things to work themselves out in terms about how the marketplace is reacting” he added.

From now on the heads of individual resorts will report directly to Disney’s chairman of parks, experiences and products, Bob Chapek.

Catherine’s departure is a big step back to what Bob Iger said in his New York Times profile promising to put more women in top executive positions at The Walt Disney Company in order to have a greater gender parity.

New Mickey Shorts Theater Coming to Hollywood Studios

Just announced for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is an all-new experience for guests of all ages.

Joining the park’s theater district will be a reimagined venue, the Mickey Shorts Theater.

As Disney prepares to step into the wacky world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon short next year in Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, we’re excited to share that there are even more zany adventures coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this spring.

No other details other than this teaser released on Disney Parks, so we will all have to stay tuned for more info.

Laura Dern and Sam Neill Returning with Jeff Goldblum for ‘Jurassic World 3’

Laura Dern and Sam Neill Returning with Jeff Goldblum for ‘Jurassic World 3‘. Though Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm) has already made an appearance in the Jurassic World Trilogy, Jurassic World 3 will see the return of all three original cast members, Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler) and Sam Neill (Alan Grant).

Jurassic World 3 Director, Colin Trevorrow, announced the news during a special screening of Jurassic World, hosted by Collider.

Not only will Ian, Ellie, and Alan from Jurassic Park be in Jurassic World 3, they are reported to have significant roles in the film. Life truly does find a way. Jeff Goldblum’s character, Ian Malcolm, has previously reappeared for a short scene, but this will be the first appearance of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler in the newer franchise.

Dern, Neill, and Goldblum are listed with fellow cast members, Chris Pratt (Owen Grady), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing), and Isabella Sermon (Maisie) on IMDb.com. Jurassic World 3 is set to be directed by Colin Trevorrow and written by Derek Connolly, based on characters by Michael Crichton.

It is currently unknown what the premise of the film will be or how these characters from the different sides of the Jurassic franchise will come to know each other, but we know one thing for sure, there will be plenty of dinosaurs and adventure!

Jurassic World 3 is set to release in theaters June 11, 2021.
