New Trailer Released for Universal’s ‘Dolittle’ Starring Robert Downey Jr. They say he’s just not a people person, but people are loving the new trailer for Universal’s Dolittle, previously titled The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle.

Unlike the Eddie Murphy Dolittle franchise by 20th Century Fox, The new iteration of Dr. Dolittle from Universal takes us back a simpler time with daring adventures. “After losing his wife seven years earlier, the eccentric Dr. John Dolittle, famed doctor and veterinarian of Queen Victoria’s England, hermits himself away behind the high walls of Dolittle Manor with only his menagerie of exotic animals for company. But when the young queen falls gravely ill, a reluctant Dolittle is forced to set sail on an epic adventure to a mythical island in search of a cure, regaining his wit and courage as he crosses old adversaries and discovers wondrous creatures.”

Universal shared a new poster and trailer for the upcoming film, set to premiere in theaters in early 2020.

The doctor (Robert Downey Jr.) is joined on his quest by a young, self-appointed apprentice (Dunkirk‘s Harry Collett) and a raucous coterie of animal friends, including an anxious gorilla (Oscar^®winner Rami Malek), an enthusiastic but bird-brained duck (Oscar^®winner Octavia Spencer), a bickering duo of a cynical ostrich (The Big Sick‘s Kumail Nanjiani) and an upbeat polar bear (John Cena, Bumblebee) and a headstrong parrot (Oscar^® winner Emma Thompson), who serves as Dolittle’s most trusted advisor and confidante.

The film also stars Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen (The Queen) and Oscar^®winner Jim Broadbent and features additional voice performances from Oscar^®winner Marion Cotillard, Frances de la Tour, Carmen Ejogo, Ralph Fiennes, Selena Gomez, Tom Holland, and Craig Robinson.

The cloaks will be available in 6 of their stores in London, Salford, Bristol, Newcastle, Leeds and Birmingham. Originally they were going to sell them for 1 pound but they have decided to just give them away for FREE!

Disney’s Gargoyles Confirmed for the launch of Disney+

How many people remember the 90’s Cartoon Disney’s Gargoyles? I know I do!

We have some great news to report… Disney’s Gargoyles will be coming to Disney+ on November 12th!

Gargoyles was on tv from 1994 through 1997. Many people loved the dark tones of the show which was out of the norm for Disney.

Tickets are still available for the 2019 Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic on Friday, November 8th and Saturday, November 9th.

Celebrating a decade of food and fun, the Food & Wine Classic treats guests to a street party festival with unlimited food tastings at dozens of stations, featuring culinary selections from the hotel’s award-winning restaurants and wine from around the world amidst a festive backdrop of live entertainment on the hotel’s scenic causeway.

With 17 restaurants and lounges and a distinguished culinary and beverage team, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort continually earns national recognition for its food and beverage program. The hotel features more than 70 certified wine sommeliers and 1,400 wine selections.

The event also features numerous themed areas including a beer garden and hands-on seminars with the hotel’s chefs and certified beverage experts.

Individual ticket options can be purchased at www.SwanDolphinFoodandWineClassic.com. Advance-purchase, event-only tickets to enjoy unlimited tastings on the causeway as well as access to the beer garden are $145 per person (inclusive of tax and service fees). Disney Issues a statement on Disney’s Skyliner Closing

In case you missed the news Disney’s Skyliner reopened today! Learn more here.

However, system updates later this week will result in the following modified operating hours for Oct. 16-18:

Oct. 16: The Disney Hollywood Studios line will be closed while the other two lines will be available from 1 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Oct. 17-18: All lines will be open from 1 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Along with the news Disney released this statement on the closing of the Skyliner:

We know many of you have been looking for an update on Disney Skyliner and are glad to share that it has reopened to guests today. Following a complete review with the manufacturer, we’ve made adjustments to our processes and training, and we are improving how we communicate with guests during their flight with Disney Skyliner. We again offer our deepest apologies to the guests impacted by the malfunction that resulted in extended operating delays on Oct. 5.

We greatly appreciate your ongoing patience and understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back aboard Disney Skyliner.

Disney’s Skyliner to resume operations today

Disney’s Skyliner will begin operations today after the accident that occurred on October 7th which left guests stranded for hours as 4 gondolas ran into each other at the Riveria Resort Station. You can read about that here…

Starting today guests will be able to travel on Disney’s Skyliner from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., however, later this week Disney will be running system updates and will result in some modified hours from Oct. 16th – Oct. 18th.

Here are the modified hours:

Oct. 16, The Disney Hollywood Studios line will be closed while the other two lines will be available from 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Oct. 17 and 18, all lines will only be open from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Film Review: Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil

The sequel to the popular 2014 box office hit is days away from its release. “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” is a fantastical journey that takes us back to the enchantment of the original.

This film, directed by Joachim Ronning, is packed with action sequences and beautiful fantasy settings. “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” takes viewers back to the land of the Moors, now with its new queen, Aurora. Elle Fanning‘s Princess Aurora is delightful and strong in this film. Her costuming was absolutely stunning. Throughout the film, she is always presented in either pink or blue as a nod to the original “Sleeping Beauty“. They made her look whimsical, yet strong. She definitely holds her own being side by side with both Angelina Jolie and Michelle Pfeiffer.

The female-led sequel has some tense, yet entertaining moments between Angelina Jolie‘s Maleficent and Michelle Pfeiffer‘s Queen Ingrith. The interaction’s between the two characters make for some iconic movie moments, especially when Maleficent gets invited to the castle for dinner. Maleficent is a role that Jolie was born to play. She has these truly heartfelt moments with Aurora. She also has her strong moments when she meets more of her kind. The moments she spends with Chiwetel Ejiofor‘s character, Conall reflect on existence and purpose.

Overall, “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” is a tale of family and belonging. The film reminds viewers that you can be different and still belong. Of the same blood or not, you can still be family. Make sure you see this epic, heartwarming film when it hits theaters, October 18. You will not regret it!

Test Track To Close For Refurbishment In 2020

If you are visiting Walt Disney World in 2020 make sure to check for possible refurbishments around the parks.

From January 13 through February 26, 2020 Test Track will be close for refurbishment. The attraction is not getting any updates as far as we know, just a simple refresh and maintenance.

Earlier this year we learned that Spaceship Earth will be closing for refurbishment for two years starting early 2020 so make sure to check for more information as the date gets closer.

Refurbishment dates might get lifted earlier so keep an eye out for any updates about it.
