The Walt Disney World Resort is currently seeking short character performers for its live entertainment offerings. The resort is looking for Disney Character Performers who have a height between 4’8″ and 5’0″ to work at its Parks and Resorts near Orlando, FL.
Walt Disney World is looking for performers to bring to life its world-famous Disney Characters. These performers will appear before thousands of guests daily in Character Greetings and Sightings across the resort. Their role is to sign autographs, pose for pictures, and help create magical moments with guests of all ages.

Disney Character Performers: Candidates who are 4’8″ – 5′ with an athletic build. Performers should be willing to demonstrate high energy levels, a full range of motion with their bodies, and basic coordination to music. These roles require wearing large body costumes, heads, and feet, and exposure to hot and humid weather.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood is getting a little more… murder-y. The fiendish flock from last year’s “Murder of Crowz” scare zone is swooping back in for 2025, and they’re ready to peck away at your nerves (and maybe your bones).
Universal confirmed the returning scare zone via Instagram, describing it as a twisted trek through a massive crow’s nest where “the fearsome flock will defend its territory by descending upon you in a feathered rage and pecking your bones clean.” Sounds like this is one birdwatching trip you might not survive.
Murder of Crowz made its debut in 2024 and quickly became a fan favorite for its eerie atmosphere, creepy costumed “crows” in hats, and unsettling glowing eyes staring down guests from the shadows. For 2025, the setup sounds just as unnerving, meaning you’ll want to keep your head on a swivel when entering their nest.
This announcement marks the third scare zone revealed for HHN 2025 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Over the weekend, we learned that “Chainsaw Clownz” will bring chaotic, noisy terror, while “Noche de Brujas” (Night of the Witches) will summon sinister sorcery inspired by Latin American folklore.
Of course, these scare zones are just the icing on the gory cake. The haunted house lineup includes Poltergeist, Fallout, WWE Presents: The Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Terrifier, JASON UN1V3RSE, Scarecrow: Music by Slash, and Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America.

Minnie Van Service to Offer Airport Transport for Deluxe Resort Guests
The Minnie Van Service, powered by Lyft, will soon expand its offerings to include transportation to and from Orlando International Airport (MCO). This new airport transport option will be exclusively available to guests staying at Deluxe Resorts across Walt Disney World.
Previously, airport transportation via the Minnie Van Service was only available to Club-level guests at a Disney Resort hotel. However, beginning Wednesday, August 13, this benefit will be extended to all guests staying at a Deluxe Resort hotel.
Guests can easily book a Minnie Van by using the Lyft app. Simply open the app from select locations within Walt Disney World Resort to request and book a ride.
Airport transportation via the Minnie Van service is priced at $199 each way. Each vehicle can comfortably seat up to six guests and includes two car seats, making it a great option for families.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to request a ride:
Open the Lyft app while at Walt Disney World and enter your destination.
Confirm your pickup location. The app will provide an estimated cost for the trip, and payment will be processed directly within the app.
Tap “Select Minnie Van.” If it’s not the default option, simply scroll through the list of vehicles until you see the Minnie Van service.
The app will then display a map tracking your vehicle’s arrival at your pickup location, along with its unique identifying number.
Accessible Minnie Vans are also available, which can accommodate five guests, one complimentary car seat, and two spaces for mobility devices.

The windows are dressed to impress with glowing jack-o’-lanterns, cascades of autumn leaves, and golden “Happy Halloween” lettering. Guests strolling by will spot character-inspired pumpkins, featuring Mickey, Minnie, and more, perched on pedestals, surrounded by framed Halloween artwork.
Of course, Disney’s famous retail magic is at work too. The displays double as a sneak peek at this year’s must-have Halloween merchandise. Inside the windows, you’ll see Mickey jack-o’-lantern wreaths, light-up necklaces, themed hoodies and tees, and even a Halloween Lug bag. Hay barrels and cozy autumn backdrops make the mannequins’ outfits look straight out of a fall fashion catalog (just, you know… with a little more mouse).

If you’ve ever taken a spin on “it’s a small world,” you know those boats rack up some nautical mileage. Over time, bumps, scrapes, and faded paint are just part of life on the Seven (Disney) Seas. But these new vessels? Pristine. Shimmering. Practically straight from the boatyard.
Red boat – Complete with lighter peach bench seating, perfect for a warm-toned pop in your ride photos.
Blue boat – A rich dark blue hull with teal seating, edges freshly painted, and a bumper so spotless you could almost see your reflection.
Green boat – Leaning into a teal hue with bright yellow safety markings. The step-in ledge is spotless—a rare sight for any Disney ride vehicle.

With Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025 set to begin later this week, the spooky season has officially arrived at Magic Kingdom. Cast Members have begun adding the first wave of fall decorations overnight, transforming the park’s main thoroughfare into a festive autumn scene.
The most notable additions can be seen along Main Street, U.S.A., where vibrant fall bunting now hangs from the roofs of the buildings. The Train Station has been adorned with tiered bunting in a mix of dark brown, yellow, and orange, setting a welcoming tone for guests arriving at the park. Several themed jack-o’-lanterns have also been placed on the store marquees and building facades, including the Chamber of Commerce and City Hall.
The pumpkins and jack-o’-lanterns display a variety of smiling and silly faces, with more frightful expressions lining the upper balcony of City Hall. Additional bunting and pumpkins now run the length of Main Street, U.S.A. and the exterior of the Emporium, creating a complete festive ambiance.
These initial decorations follow the recent arrival of event trusses, lights, and the Emporium’s Halloween window displays. While the iconic Mickey pumpkin wreaths have not been installed just yet, they are anticipated to appear very soon as the park gets fully ready for the season. The Halloween festivities officially kick off with the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Friday, August 15.
