Say Bonjour to EPCOT’s New Parisian Breakfast Buffet at Chefs de France

If your dream morning involves flaky pastries, endless mimosas, and a little touch of Parisian charm, EPCOT is about to make it a reality. Starting this September, Chefs de France will debut a brand-new Parisian Breakfast Buffet as part of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Offered exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays during the event, this limited-time experience invites guests to linger over classic French breakfast favorites in the heart of the France Pavilion—no passport required. 🇫🇷

This indulgent morning affair will run only on Fridays and Saturdays during the festival, which kicks off August 28, with the first breakfast service starting September 5, 2025. Whether it was away for repairs or just a well-deserved refurbishment, guests can once again put some muscle into turning the wheel and watch the larger mechanism pull water into the nearby pond.

This hands-on feature first debuted in 2016 when Downtown Disney transformed into Disney Springs, adding a touch of old-fashioned charm to the modern shopping and dining district. Branded with “Disney Springs” and “Florida,” the wheel sits near the Welcome Center, tying into the story of the area’s natural springs.

While Disney hasn’t shared why the wheel was gone since June, it’s clear it’s been spruced up—its gleaming finish now stands out against the older surrounding stonework. It’s a small but delightful detail that blends interactive fun with the immersive storytelling Disney Springs is known for.

Reservations for The Beak and Barrel Delayed After Pirate Rush Crashes System

Arrgh, mateys—seems the opening salvo for reservations at The Beak and Barrel didn’t quite go as planned. Disney’s brand-new pirate tavern, set to debut August 29 in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland, was supposed to open its booking window this week. But with too many eager swashbucklers trying to snag a spot at once, the reservation system was overwhelmed and promptly sank beneath the waves.

Beak and Barrel Reservations will now open on Monday August th

Now, Disney says reservations will “set sail” the week of August 18, 2025, though the exact day remains under wraps. When the tavern finally opens, guests will have 45 minutes to enjoy Caribbean-inspired small plates, colorful cocktails (including one in a souvenir mug), and lively entertainment from Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn and her chatty parrot first mate, Rummy.

The Beak and Barrel will also operate during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but those holiday-specific bookings will launch later this year. For now, pirates and landlubbers alike will just have to keep a weather eye on Disney’s site next week to snag their spot before they’re all gone.

Magic Kingdom Unveils New Fall Decorations in Storybook Circus and Frontierland

Halloween magic has officially spread beyond Main Street, U.S.A., with brand-new decorations appearing in Storybook Circus, Fantasyland, and Frontierland. Disney has extended its autumnal decor to more areas of the park, creating a more immersive and festive atmosphere for guests.

Dumbo and Timothy Mouse Pumpkins Arrive in Storybook Circus

Storybook Circus is now decked out with adorable, brand-new pumpkin wreaths that celebrate its flying elephant theme. You can find Dumbo-themed pumpkins, complete with his signature large ears, alternating with Timothy Mouse pumpkins on every other lamppost.

A closer look reveals playful details, like tiny peanuts hidden within the greenery of the wreaths. This charming new addition brings a cozy, circus-style fall feel to the land, delighting both children and adults.

Frontierland Gets an New Fall Rustic Makeover

Frontierland has also received a complete set of new decorations this season, tying into the land’s rustic and pioneering theme.

Above the exit of The Diamond Horseshoe, a wreath adorns a window, and a pair of autumnal decorations hang over the breezeway to the restrooms.

The Frontier Trading Post is decorated with wreaths in its second-floor windows and ribbons, flowers, and red leaves tied around its posts.

The Frontier Mercantile facade features a large wreath adorned with retro milk jugs and garlands lined with small baskets of gourds. The decorations continue across Grizzly Hall, with wreaths framing the entrance to the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. The Town Hall facade also has a wreath on its balcony and a matching garland. Even the back of Pecos Bill, on the walkway to Adventureland, has been decorated with garlands and a wreath. These thoughtful details create a more cohesive and festive experience throughout the land.

With fall decorations also spotted in Fantasyland and Liberty Square, it’s clear that Disney is committed to a more park-wide Halloween celebration this year. These new additions are a treat for guests of all ages, adding an extra layer of magic to the season.

It looks like Halloween Horror Nights 34 is serving up a slice of pure nightmare fuel — literally.

According to a reveal in the latest issue of SFX magazine, guests will not only face Freddy Fazbear and his animatronic crew inside the brand-new Five Nights at Freddy’s haunted house, but they’ll also be able to dine at a real-life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria during the event.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Coming to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood & Universal Orlando Resort

Universal is working with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to bring Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy to life as animatronics and puppets inside the house. Now, the terrifying fun is expanding beyond the haunt — with plans to temporarily transform an existing restaurant in Universal Studios Florida into the infamous pizzeria for the run of HHN 34.

While Universal hasn’t confirmed which location will get the Fazbear makeover, Louie’s Italian Restaurant is an obvious contender, thanks to its pizza-heavy menu. No matter the location, fans can expect to see Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica on stage while they chow down — just like in the games… only hopefully without any “security breaches” mid-meal.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s house is already one of the most anticipated HHN additions in years, and with the pizzeria experience, it’s clear Universal is going all-in on making guests feel like they’ve stepped straight into the indie horror hit.

Get ready to order up some fear with your pizza — because at Freddy Fazbear’s, the animatronics aren’t the only thing that might follow you home.

Construction Underway on Birdcage Bar & Main Staircase at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Refurbishment work is in full swing at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort as crews make progress on the re-imagined lobby, including the highly anticipated “birdcage bar” and updates to the main staircase.

Birdcage Bar Takes Shape

The original decorative birdcage that once stood as an iconic focal point in the lobby was removed in late April, making way for a new walk-up bar inspired by its design. The forthcoming birdcage bar will honor the resort’s Victorian charm with intricate woodwork, brass accents, and colorful stained glass panels depicting birds in flight. Murals and ornamental details will further carry the avian theme, complementing the lobby’s classic architecture.

During a recent visit, crews had begun assembling the initial structure for the bar. The back wall will feature stained glass, while the surrounding framework and floor base have already been prepared.

Main Staircase Closed for Updates

In addition to the bar, another noticeable change is the closure of the resort’s grand staircase. Construction walls now block access as the staircase undergoes repainting and theming adjustments. Guests are being directed to use elevators while the work is underway, with signs reading, “Pardon our pixie dust, this staircase is currently unavailable.”

Lobby Work Expands

The refurbishment extends beyond the bar and staircase. Much of the main lobby is now surrounded by themed construction walls and draped partitions, with sections of drywall removed as crews continue updates to the check-in area. The new design will include fresh lighting fixtures carrying a floral motif, modernizing the space while keeping its elegant character intact.

This fall, guests attending the Oogie Boogie Bash will encounter two iconic villains on the treat trails. The separately ticketed, family-friendly event at Disney California Adventure park will feature Syndrome from Pixar’s The Incredibles and the classic evil fairy Maleficent from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Sleeping Beauty. Attendees can creep along 12 different treat trails to find them.

Discover Your Inner Evil with the Might of Maleficent

You may have walked through Oogie Boogie Bash before and spotted her once upon a dream, but this devious, dark fairy is back with a vengeance this year. Filling the dim night with sinister schemes and ferocious fury, the mistress of all evil flies over to Mountain Road in Grizzly Peak (behind the queue for Grizzly River Run) for an encounter with guests.

You’ll be able to deal with Maleficent and all the powers of her imagination on each night of the separately ticketed event this fall, as cast members pass out treats at this unique treat trail. Don’t forget to dress in your Disney best and brace yourselves for a cool rush of pure evil as Maleficent lights up California Adventure with her signature flair this fall.

Fly Over to Pixar Pier to Spot Syndrome’s Schemes

Filled with villainous rage and a desire to be known as a true hero himself, Syndrome will debut for the first time at Oogie Boogie Bash on select nights from August 17 through October 31.

During each night of Oogie Boogie Bash, you’ll be able to hear Syndrome’s tactful plans and snarky quips as you scoop up treats being passed out by a friendly Disneyland cast member.

Whether you’re his number one fan or an ultimate hero looking to foil his wicked plans, you can spot Syndrome at his own dedicated Oogie Boogie Bash treat trail near the Pixar Pier Band Shell. Stop by for a super time filled with sights and sweets, but be careful of potentially nefarious activity from this fierce villain.
