First up, let’s talk about the fashion. Cakeworthy has created some super cute and comfy pieces that you’ll want to live in. The Disney Princess Dress, for $54.99, is a total dream, with an allover print of your favorite royals like Ariel, Jasmine, and Aurora. It’s got that modern-meets-timeless vibe with a breezy smock design and gathered skirt. If you need something a little warmer, the Disney Princess Quilted Jacket ($89.99) is perfect. It’s got a vibrant print of princesses and their loyal sidekicks on soft velour fabric, so you can stay cozy and cute all season. And you can’t miss the Cinderella and Rapunzel Pullover Sweatshirt ($64.99). It features Cinderella and Rapunzel having a little fun with Suzy and Pascal, and it’s so adorable that even a chameleon might be jealous!

Plus, there are other embroidered pullover sweatshirts for just $44.99 for all the princesses, like Pocahontas, Rapunzel, and Mulan, so you can pick your favorite and express your inner hero.

To complete your look, you’ll definitely want to check out the new accessories. The Rapunzel Crossbody Bag and Cinderella Crossbody Bag, both $39.99, are inspired by the princesses iconic dresses. The Rapunzel bag has that classic pink lacing and embossed details, while the Cinderella one sparkles with simulated pearls and shimmery organza. You’ll be ready for any special occasion or just a casual day out!

And for some serious sparkle, Pandora has released new Tiara Rings. The Rapunzel Tiara Ring ($130) is crafted in sterling silver and 14k gold plating with pear-shaped light purple stones, perfect for embodying her adventurous spirit. The Tiana Tiara Ring ($98) is also a stunner, made with sterling silver and green crystals that mimic Tiana’s lily pad-inspired tiara. You can stack them or wear them on their own for a touch of royal energy every day.

The magic doesn’t stop with apparel and accessories. You can bring the enchantment into your home with the new CozyChic Blankets by Barefoot Dreams, featuring Rapunzel or Tiana for $178 each. These blankets are incredibly soft and cozy, with beautiful knitted artwork of the princesses, making them perfect for movie nights or just adding some fairytale charm to your space.

For the little (or big!) kids, the new toys are a must-have. The Disney Princess Squishmallows Plush Set ($59.99) is a six-piece set that includes Mulan, Rapunzel, and Pocahontas with their squishy sidekicks Mushu, Pascal, and Meeko. Construction Update: Cool Ship Refurbishment Progress in Tomorrowland

Something is definitely brewing (or blasting off) over in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom! The Cool Ship snack kiosk, which closed for refurbishment back in May, is now showing major signs of progress as Disney crews have officially laid the foundation for the refreshed structure.

Once known for serving up frozen Coca-Cola and icy treats with a retro-space twist, Cool Ship has been a Tomorrowland staple for years, complete with its quirky rocket perched above. Since construction walls went up earlier this summer, the entire structure has been raised and cleared, leaving fans wondering what the updated kiosk will look like when it finally reopens.

Photos taken this week reveal cinder blocks, concrete work, and foundation supports in place, with work lights and equipment staged around the site. The old footprint is clearly being rebuilt from the ground up, signaling that this isn’t just a quick refresh but more of a structural overhaul.

According to the official Walt Disney World website, Cool Ship is listed as “temporarily closed for refurbishment” with a reopening expected later this year. While Disney hasn’t released any concept art or details about design changes, it’s anyone’s guess if the refreshed stand will return looking familiar or debut a brand-new look to match Tomorrowland’s evolving aesthetic.

Florida Panthers Forward Evan Rodrigues Brings The Stanley Cup to EPCOT

Talk about a magical crossover moment! Guests at EPCOT today were treated to a rare sight that had nothing to do with Mickey ears or Spaceship Earth. Florida Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues brought hockey’s most iconic prize, the Stanley Cup, right into the heart of World Showcase.

Fresh off the Panthers’ second straight championship win, Rodrigues carried on the long-standing NHL tradition of players spending a day celebrating with the Cup. And where better to celebrate than EPCOT, a place where world travel and unforgettable memories come together every single day?

The trophy was displayed on the bridge between the United Kingdom and France Pavilions, and in true Disney fashion, it got a little whimsical makeover. Sitting inside the gleaming silver Cup were several oversized Big Feet Remy plush toys from Ratatouille. You don’t see that at center ice! Families lined up for photos with the player, the Cup, and of course, Remy—making for a one-of-a-kind EPCOT photo op.

This summer, the Stanley Cup has been on quite the global adventure, stopping everywhere from Alpharetta, Georgia, to a children’s hospital in St. Louis, and even all the way to Helsinki, Finland, for a visit to Olympic Stadium. But today’s stop at EPCOT may have been the most “delicious” of all, with Remy adding a touch of Disney magic to the mix.

Concept Art Revealed for Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America at Halloween Horror Nights 2025

The Monstruos are back — and they’re hungrier than ever. Universal Studios Hollywood has revealed new details and chilling concept art for Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America, an original haunted house coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2025.

Returning us once more to the haunting grounds of El Cementerio de los Perdidos, this year’s maze introduces a new corner of the cursed graveyard — one where children are buried, and where the gravekeeper himself, Muerte, waits to tell you a ghost story you’ll wish you never heard.

Meet Muerte… and His Little Friend

Muerte, the skeletal caretaker of the cemetery, is back again to guide guests through these horrifying tales. As creative director John Murdy explains, Muerte is the only original character created for the Monstruos series, and his job is to set the stage for the horrors within.

This year, Muerte has a new companion — his ghostly black cat Oscura (“Darkness”), who slinks through the cemetery alongside him. Between the peeling paint, moldy grave markers, and dead flowers, Oscura may be the only living thing left… if you dare to call it living.

And Muerte’s chilling refrain will echo through the maze: Are you afraid of the dark?

The Ghosts You’ll Meet

Muerte will introduce guests to three terrifying spirits, each plucked from Latin American folklore:

  • La Muelona – Known across Colombia and Venezuela as “the woman with big teeth,” La Muelona seduces unfaithful men before revealing her monstrous fangs and devouring them alive. Her many origin stories vary, but her appetite never changes.
  • La Siguanaba – A deceptive spirit from Mexico and Central America, La Siguanaba appears as a beautiful woman with long, dark hair — until her victims follow her deep into the forest, where she reveals her rotting horse’s head and drives them to madness or death.
  • La Llorona – Perhaps the most infamous of them all, La Llorona’s sorrowful cries of “¡Ay, mis hijos!” haunt those who cross her path. Doomed to wander the earth after drowning her own children in a fit of rage, she now drags others to watery graves.

Why Monstruos Matters

The Monstruos series has become a fan favorite at HHN Hollywood, blending terrifying scares with rich cultural roots. From The Monsters of Latin America in 2023 to The Nightmares of Latin America in 2024, and now The Ghosts of Latin America in 2025, these mazes give legendary folklore a horrifying modern twist.

John Murdy emphasized that the series also brings meaningful representation to Halloween Horror Nights:

“I love that we’re bringing Latin American culture to them. These stories have existed for centuries and we’re bringing them to a modern audience. I think that’s just very cool and unique.”

And just because this is the third installment doesn’t mean you’ll know what’s coming. Murdy promises new twists: “We’ve trained guests on how a Monstruos house is structured. Now we’re going to use that to our advantage and turn the tables.”

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party vs. Oogie Boogie Bash

When it comes to celebrating Halloween, Disney goes all out—and they do it on both coasts. For Disney fans, the ultimate question is: which event is better, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom in Florida or Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure in California?

While for many this is a “just for fun” debate, as most people won’t be traveling to the opposite coast for a Halloween party, for a growing number of devoted Disney fans, it’s a real decision. We’ve compared the two on a number of key points to help you decide which is the best fit for your next spooky season trip.

Parade: A Clear Victory for Florida

This category is not even close. Mickey’s Boo to You Parade at Walt Disney World is the undisputed champion. It features more floats, performers, and iconic moments—including the legendary Headless Horseman. While Disneyland’s Frightfully Fun Parade is good, it feels like an expanded cavalcade rather than a full-fledged spectacle. “Boo to You” is a time-tested classic that, despite its long-standing presence, remains a fan favorite for a reason.

Nighttime Spectaculars: An Easy Win for Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom takes the prize here by default. The fireworks show, “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular,” is an impressive display of pyrotechnics and projections over Cinderella Castle, hosted by a massive Jack Skellington puppet. Oogie Boogie Bash, on the other hand, lacks a dedicated nighttime spectacular. It briefly had “World of Color – Villainous,” but that show has not returned, giving Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party the easy win.

Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets and Details Revealed

Characters: Oogie Boogie Bash Shines

If characters are your top priority, there’s no contest. Oogie Boogie Bash is the clear winner. The event offers a wide variety of rare and classic characters, from Disney villains to Marvel and Pixar favorites, with significantly shorter wait times than at Magic Kingdom. While you can meet iconic characters like Jack Skellington and Sally at both parties, the lines for them at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary can be notoriously long—sometimes over 90 minutes. Oogie Boogie Bash provides a much more satisfying and efficient experience for character enthusiasts.

Halloween Harvest at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay - Kandy and Girl Trick-or-Treat (1)

Trick-or-Treat Trails: A Highlight for California

This is where Oogie Boogie Bash truly sets itself apart. The event’s “Villains Treat Trails” are more than just places to get candy—they are immersive experiences featuring live, interacting Disney villains. From Judge Doom to Ernesto de la Cruz, these villains entertain and engage with guests, making the act of trick-or-treating a form of entertainment in itself.

Walt Disney World has started to introduce a similar concept with “villainous treat trails,” but they have yet to match the scale and performance quality of what’s offered at Oogie Boogie Bash. The Villains Treat Trails are arguably the number one reason why many Walt Disney World regulars rave about the California event.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party vs. Oogie Boogie Bash: A Spooktacular Showdown

Entertainment: Hocus Pocus Wins the Night

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes back the lead with its stage shows. “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” is an all-time classic, a must-see production that features the Sanderson Sisters and a host of other Disney villains. The show is so beloved that many fans would argue it’s worth the price of admission alone. The event also offers other entertainment like dance parties and the Cadaver Dans.

While Oogie Boogie Bash has the immersive “Villains Grove” walk-through, it’s more of an atmospheric experience than a traditional stage show. Disneyland has yet to add a true stage show that can compete with the quality and popularity of “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.”

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party vs. Oogie Boogie Bash: A Spooktacular Showdown

Crowds: A More Relaxed Vibe in California

For a special-ticketed event, both parties can get crowded, but Oogie Boogie Bash generally feels less congested. Wait times for rides are often minimal, character lines are more manageable, and it’s easier to navigate the park. There are no areas that see the kind of bottleneck congestion that Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom experiences between the two parade showings. For a lower-stress, more laid-back experience, Oogie Boogie Bash is the winner.

The Bigger Picture: Disneyland Takes the Crown for the Season

When you zoom out from the individual events and look at the entire Halloween season, it’s hard for Walt Disney World to compete with the sheer volume of offerings at Disneyland Resort. California’s Halloween season includes:

  • Halloween Screams fireworks at Disneyland Park
  • Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay
  • Cars Land Haul-O-Ween
  • Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark
  • Plaza de la Familia/A Musical Celebration of Coco

All of these are included with regular park admission. By contrast, Walt Disney World’s Halloween decorations outside of Magic Kingdom are minimal. The California parks fully embrace the spooky season, with two parks transformed for the holiday, plus the added bonus of more comfortable weather than the sweltering Florida heat and humidity.

All August Dates Now Sold Out for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2024 1

The Verdict

For a first-timer or a fan who only attends one event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the superior standalone experience. It boasts a better parade, a fantastic stage show, and a fireworks spectacular.

However, if you’re a die-hard fan looking for the best overall Halloween season experience, or if you’re a character enthusiast, Disneyland Resort wins hands-down. The Villains Treat Trails are a game-changer, and the sheer number of holiday-specific attractions and entertainment across both parks makes the entire Halloween season in California an unforgettable experience.

Mickey & Friends Halloween Cavalcade Returns for 2025

During the 2025 Halloween Time season, the Mickey & Friends Halloween Cavalcade at Disneyland is an excellent way to see a variety of your favorite characters all at once. This short and vibrant procession is packed with Halloween fun, featuring a mix of Disney heroes, villains, and, of course, Mickey and his pals.

Mickey and Minnie kick off the cavalcade riding in the Disneyland Fire Dept. Engine No.1. They are dressed in their new Halloween costumes.

halloween characters

The parade float is all dressed up this year as well. The colors and decor coordinate with the characters 2025 Halloween costumes. Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Chip n’ Dale all ride on the float.

Following the float, you’ll see Moana, Peter Pan, Alice, Aladdin and the Genie. All are carrying orange Mickey pumpkin candy buckets.

bus

More characters follow in the double decker bus. Miguel, Geppetto, Pocahontas, Belle, and Merida are all inside. Some of them have a Mickey pumpkin candy bucket while others hold a masquerade-type mask.

cruella

Following the double decker bus is the first villain in the cavalcade. For some reason Cruella gets to ride in her own vehicle.

Trying to keep up with Cruella are the evil stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella, along with their mother, Lady Tremaine. Just behind them you’ll see the Evil Queen and the mistress of all evil herself, Maleficent. And bringing up the rear are Gaston, Captain Hook, and the Queen of Hearts.

The short and sweet cavalcade is a great way to celebrate Halloween and see lots of characters at Disneyland.

Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay Returns to Disneyland in 2025

hmh
haunted mansion holiday

The Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay Is Back at Disneyland

The Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay has returned! The residents of Halloween Town have once again taken over the classic Haunted Mansion, transforming it for both the Halloween and Christmas seasons at Disneyland.

haunted

The entrance to the mansion is now adorned with a Haunted Mansion Holiday sign shaped like a ribbon. On one column, you’ll find Jack Skellington, dressed as Sandy Claws, perched on a jack-o’-lantern. The other column is topped with a grand chandelier.

As you move through the queue, notice the lampposts wrapped in garlands and topped with pinstriped bows, a nod to Jack’s iconic suit. The surrounding foliage has a dead and decaying look, adding to the eerie atmosphere. More garlands decorate the hearse, and jack-o’-lanterns sit on a nearby bench. Even the car gets a festive touch with a jack-o’-lantern wearing a Santa hat.

graveyard

A Sandy Claws scarecrow, surrounded by more jack-o’-lanterns, stands in a flowerbed. Looking up at the mansion, you’ll see the balconies decorated with festive garlands and spiderweb candelabras. Across the top gable, jack-o’-lanterns are arranged, and a long piece of paper dangles, displaying Jack’s famous Christmas equation.

Above the entrance, a large clock is nestled in a wreath, its hands spinning in opposite directions, while a countdown reads “000 Days to Xmas.” Even the gargoyles on the queue wall and the statues in the pet cemetery are dressed up with pinstriped bows. Throughout the graveyard, more jack-o’-lanterns add to the holiday-spooky scene.

gingerbread

While the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay generally remains the same each year, there’s always a new gingerbread creation in the ballroom. This year’s design is inspired by the ride’s exterior, with some design elements taken from Halloween Town’s City Hall. The gingerbread house is green, features candy cane-striped columns, and is topped with large cookie ravens that have glowing red eyes.

For fans who crave something extra tangible, the soundtrack has also been pressed onto physical vinyl, available exclusively in-park at Universal Epic Universe.

A Note from Danny Elfman

Elfman himself shared what the project meant to him:

“A decade or so ago when we released the 25th anniversary box set for the Music of the Films of Tim Burton, it contained a book with many interviews. In that book, director Guillermo Del Toro described me quite accurately as ‘a monster kid’ from the generation, much like Del Toro and Burton themselves, that quite literally grew up on monsters. They were my life.

I eagerly awaited the release of the magazine Famous Monsters of Filmland each month and cherished every page as if it were sacred text.”

Elfman went on to explain how his childhood love of classic monster films — from The Wolfman to The Creature from the Black Lagoon — became a source of inspiration throughout his composing career.

“When I got the call from Universal to work on the music to their new Dark Universe I was, to say the least, more than up for it. It was such a treat working on this project. Not only did I get to work with a great bunch of enthusiastic creative people, but I got to travel back to my own childhood and revisit my original inspirations.

And while the attractions are all unique and original, they use characters that I have loved my whole life, such as the Universal Film Legends: Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolfman and The Mummy, who show up at different times throughout the park experience. I felt both honored and energized to have been chosen for this wonderful project. I hope you, the listener, feel that I did it justice.”
