From the Underworld to Your Home: The Pain and Panic Plush Are Here!

Have you ever wished you could bring a little bit of the Underworld home with you, without all the eternal torment? Well, now you can! Disney has unleashed the most mischievous duo from Hercules, Pain and Panic, in plush form, and they are absolutely adorable. These little demon imps are available for a cool $19.99 each at Walt Disney World and on the Disney Store website, so you can pick your favorite or, even better, get the pair for double the fun!

Let’s talk about the Pain plush first. This guy is a soft, silly-looking demon with those iconic furry wings and a pointy tail that’s just begging to be fluffed. He even has little simulated leather sandals, because even a henchman of Hades needs to be comfortable! You can pose him wherever you want to create some imaginary chaos. He’s ready to do Hades’ bidding, or, more likely, just hang out and cause some harmless mischief with you.

Of course, you can’t have Pain without Panic! This plush is just as impish and soft as his partner in crime. He also sports those cute furry wings and a pointy tail, but the best part? He’s clutching a little Hercules sipper cup! It’s a hilarious detail that perfectly captures the bumbling nature of these two. Imagine setting up a little scene with them, maybe Panic is trying to drink from the cup while Pain is plotting some grand, albeit terrible, scheme.

These two plushies are the perfect addition to any Disney villain collection. They’re a fun, quirky nod to a classic film and a great way to bring a piece of the Disney Parks home. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of Hercules or just love a good villain sidekick, Pain and Panic are ready to join your crew and cause some trouble, one cuddle at a time!

The front of the hat features the iconic line, “But Daddy I Love Him!” in a pretty cursive font. The sides of the text are decorated with some fun aquatic elements, like bubbles, seashells, and a dinglehopper.

Goofy and Clarabelle Cow Pirate Mini Mix-Its

First up, we have Goofy. He’s looking as charming as ever in his classic orange shirt and blue pants. But the real magic is the removable pirate hood. With a simple tug of the Velcro, you can transform him into a swashbuckling buccaneer! The hood is designed to look like a skull, complete with an eyepatch over one eye and a detailed tricorn hat on top. But when you take the hood off, you reveal Goofy’s classic green hat and his signature floppy ears. It’s awesome to see him instantly go from pirate to pal just by removing a single piece.

Goofy and Clarabelle Cow Pirate Mini Mix-Its

And let’s not forget about his first mate, Clarabelle Cow! She’s serving some serious pirate chic in her usual red and green outfit. Her skull hood is just as detailed as Goofy’s, but with a touch of her own style. She’s got a red bandana on top that matches her shirt, and if you look closely, you’ll see delicate eyelashes on the eye sockets of the skull hood. Take the hood off, and she’s back to her adorable self, with her iconic green bow and sweet, rosy cheeks. The fact that she can be both a pirate and a fashionista makes her a standout. These Mini Mix-Its are a great way to get two looks in one, and they’re definitely a fun, unique find for any Disney fan.

Universal Files Demolition Permit for Project 555 — Could Lost Continent Finally Meet Its Fate?

A big shakeup may be on the horizon at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. A newly filed demolition permit for Project 555 covers nearly five acres of land — and eagle-eyed fans are already connecting the dots to the long-dormant Lost Continent area.

How to Train your Dragon Takes Over The Lost Continent in Universal Islands of Adventure cover

According to permit details and some sleuthing by Behind the Thrills, the 4.9-acre footprint of the Lost Continent (minus Mythos and the First Aid/Health Services building) lines up almost perfectly with the scope of Project 555. This section of the park, once home to the Eighth Voyage of Sindbad stunt show and the larger-than-life Poseidon’s Fury, has been sitting empty since Poseidon’s Fury closed in 2023.

Rumors have swirled for years about what could replace the Lost Continent, with ideas ranging from a Legend of Zelda–themed land, to a Wicked-inspired expansion, to even more room for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Universal has remained silent so far, but the timing is intriguing with Epic Universe opening in 2025 and the company clearly looking ahead to what’s next.

Port of Entry (L-POE)

For longtime fans, the Lost Continent was once a showstopper with its sprawling theming and live entertainment, but its footprint has been shrinking ever since the Wizarding World of Harry Potter debuted in 2010. The land is now a shadow of its former self, anchored primarily by Mythos, the award-winning table-service restaurant that’s managed to outlive its neighbors.

If this demolition permit really signals the end of the Lost Continent, it could mark the start of a brand-new era for Islands of Adventure. Universal is known for keeping secrets close until they’re ready to wow guests, so while the details are still under wraps, speculation will no doubt run wild until an official announcement drops.

Update on Paint the Night Parade after Float Fire

A float in the Paint the Night Parade at Disneyland caught fire last night during its first performance, causing the second show to be heavily altered.

During the first performance of Paint the Night on Wednesday evening, a fire broke out on the Little Mermaid float as it was making its way through the Hub. The float was immediately taken backstage where the fire was extinguished. At the time of the incident, no injuries were reported for performers or guests.

The second performance of the parade, originally scheduled for 10:30 p.m. PT, was delayed until 11:00 p.m. PT. Due to the incident, the Little Mermaid float was out of commission. Additionally, half of the floats and performers were cut from the show, including the Monsters, Inc. sequence and the entire finale. The Frozen float became the new show closer, though Olaf was missing from the float and the rope dancers followed behind it.

Today, Disneyland updated the description for its 70th Guided Tour, removing the specific mention of a reserved viewing area for the Paint the Night parade. The new description now simply states “Reserved viewing area for a Nighttime Spectacular.”

Restaurant Marrakesh Sign Removed at EPCOT After Five Years of Closure

It looks like another piece of EPCOT history has quietly slipped away. The iconic Restaurant Marrakesh sign at the Morocco pavilion has officially been stripped of its lettering, marking the latest chapter in the long-dormant dining location’s story.

Related: Disney World Files Construction Permit for Affordable Housing Project

The round, golden-framed sign still hangs above the entrance archway at the back of the pavilion, but its distinctive “Restaurant Marrakesh” lettering and red emblem have been removed. Sharp-eyed guests will now notice the faded silhouettes of the letters and rivets left behind as the only reminder of what once was.

Restaurant Marrakesh originally closed along with the rest of Walt Disney World in March 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and never reopened. While Spice Road Table was refreshed and remains a functioning part of the pavilion, Marrakesh has sat shuttered. Disney formally took over operations of the Morocco pavilion in October 2020 after Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant, LLC faced financial difficulties, including a PPP loan filing and UCC Financing Statement against them.

Since then, the Marrakesh space has been used for temporary offerings, such as a seating area, the Florida Blue lounge, and even as a Passholder lounge, but Disney has never announced long-term plans for the location. Curiously, the official Restaurant Marrakesh webpage remains live, though its menus were removed back in 2021.
