It’s been a long time since guests were able to visit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park. But we do see Disney World is currently seeking permits and working on refurbishing the iconic water park. It gives us hope that we might soon see Disney announce a reopening date Typhoon Lagoon!
The new permit signifies a request to work upon a significant amount of general refurbishment areas. Which indicates Disney is prepping it for guests to enjoy.
We certainly miss Typhoon Lagoon’s giant surf pool! The surf’s up all day long with a continuous stream of swells in North America’s largest wave pool. Let’s hope an announcement comes soon since summer season is fast approaching.
Sony Casts Aaron Taylor-Johnson as ‘Kraven the Hunter’ For Upcoming Marvel Movie. In an unpredictable move, Sony Pictures has cast Avengers: Age of Ultron Star Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven for their upcoming solo Marvel movie Kraven the Hunter. Though there is no doubting Aaron’s ability to be a leading man, the casting choice seems to put the final nail in the coffin for fans hoping to see his return as Quicksilver in the MCU as we venture into the Multiverse.
Sony had previously offered the role to Keanu Reeves, but given the fact that Reeves has been in talks with Marvel Studios for year regarding a large role in the MCU it’s unsurprising that Keanu has decided to declined Sony’s casting invitation. There have been rumors for months that Kraven The Hunter will involve Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, but that has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios or Sony Pictures. Rumors also sited Kraven’s debut was intended for the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, but much like the other rumors, has yet to be confirmed by the studios.
As we dive into the multiverse there are nearly endless possibilities at how the stories will play out, but we are very excited to see where the future of the MCU and Sony Spider-Man franchise films go. Universal Studios Hollywood has been back open for a little over a month and they are moving forward by ending temperature checks. While no announcement was made temperature checks have ended and their website reflects the changes.
They have not changed their mask policy like Orlando as of right now. Guests are still required to wear masks unless actively eating or drinking. Even if you are fully vaccinated. Universal Studios Hollywood also still has social distancing at 6ft.
AMC Theaters in Disney Springs is ready for the opening of Cruella coming to theaters and Disney+. To celebrate Disney Springs will be hosting a special live event you won’t want to miss.

Marvel Studios Casts Christopher McDonald in the ‘Secret Invasion‘ Disney+ Series. Happy Gilmore and The Iron Giant star Christopher McDonald has been cast in a mysterious role for the upcoming Marvel Studios Disney+ Original Series, Secret Invasion. McDonald joins fellow cast members, Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Ben Mendelsohn (Talos), Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Killian Scott in unspecified roles for the series.
In the Marvel Comics the Secret Invasion storyline involves a subversive, long-term invasion of Earth by the Skrulls, a group of alien shapeshifters who have secretly replaced many superheroes in the Marvel Universe with impostors over a period of years, prior to the overt invasion.
Though Marvel has not released an official synopsis for the new Marvel live-action series, there is no reason to believe the studio will deviate from the original premise, though the details and character identities may be switch around.

Most resellers are super cool and pull their listing on websites and Facebook groups once they realize they’re violating our preorder user agreement. We have a new Aerial look at Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind and Space 220. Progress is moving fast it appears. Guardians show building and also the entrance have received brand new awnings. You can check out the tweet below. We do not have an opening date yet, and since the coaster is inside we do not know how far into testing they are.
Cosmic Rewind a family-friendly “storytelling coaster” that will feature a groundbreaking ride system with vehicles that rotate 360 degrees and can even do a reverse launch. Of course, the adventure will start in the “Galaxarium,” a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar. You’ll be invited to learn more about Xandar’s treasures – until the moment when the Guardians arrive, and adventures across the cosmos ensue.
This will also be the first time Disney World Resort will have Marvel incorporated into a ride or attraction.
We are taking this next sentence for what it is. Disney Parks Blog posted it prior to the parks having to shut down due to the pandemic last year. “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in 2021. Women’s Golf Day began in 2016. It’s the largest single-day recognition of women’s golf. Since the launch, the event has been held at over 900 venues in 68 countries, with over 50,000 women and girls participating. The day will be a celebration of women and girls playing golf, taking lessons, and enjoying all the other activities at our courses.

As a non-California resident, I am super excited to share with all of you that Disneyland will soon be open to guests that do not live in California! When Disneyland and Disney California Adventure opened April 30, the parks were only allowing California residents in. Now, when California fully opens on June 15, all guests will be welcome to visit Disneyland!
Beginning June 15, 2021, Disneyland will once again be able to welcome travelers from outside the state of California back to our theme parks! Out-of-state visitors may now begin booking their return to the parks. Until June 15, all guests visiting the Disneyland Resort must be California residents visiting in groups no larger than 3 households.
The State of California strongly recommends that all guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering the theme parks. In addition, all guests will be required to wear an approved face covering throughout their visit at the Disneyland Resort.
As always, Disney’s procedures may change as it continues to update the health and safety processes based on guidance from the state of California and local health officials. The latest details to know before you go can be found on Disneyland.com/Updates. We recommend that you check back on the website often, as information continues to be updated.
As a reminder, to enter a theme park, all guests (ages 3 and older) need to have both a ticket and theme park reservation for the same park on the same date. Disneyland recently announced a new way for guests to purchase theme park tickets at the same time they make park reservations.
We’re also excited to share an additional update on the theme park reservation system. Beginning today, the booking window for theme park reservations has expanded out to 120 days, allowing guests even more time to plan their return to the resort! Check the theme park reservation calendar for availability.

We have great news to report today! Disney has just shared with us an update on both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World retheming of the classic attraction the Jungle Cruise.
The Jungle Cruise will reopen on July 16th, 2021, in Disneyland, with an updated experience that welcomes new characters from around the world plus even more of the humor, wildlife and skipper heart that makes this classic attraction a favorite.
Over at the Magic Kingdom, you can continue to enjoy the Jungle Cruise while updates are being made, and all changes should be completed this summer.
Progress continues at both parks as Imagineers build on the original story with new adventures that stay true to the experience we know and love. Today we’re revealing a behind-the-scenes look at the work on Trader Sam’s newest venture, which recently dropped in at Disneyland.
True to his reputation as the best merchant in the jungle, Trader Sam has found a way to convert the new Lost & Found location into something more profitable for the Jungle Navigation Company Ltd. The Jungle Cruise appears to be going the route of all the best rides – ending with a gift shop! Take a look at this first look above!
