The first full trailer for Disney’s upcoming “Strange World” movie is now available to watch! You can check it out below!
Disney’s upcoming animated adventure, Strange World, will feature the vocal talents of Jake Gyllenhaal (Searcher Clade), Dennis Quaid (Jaeger Clade, Searcher’s Father), Gabrielle Union (Meridian Clade, Searcher’s Wife), Jaboukie Young-White (Ethan Clade, Searcher and Meridian’s Son), and Lucy Liu (Callisto Mal, Leader of Avalonia). Alan Tudyk has also been cast in the film, but his character remains a mystery at the time of writing.
A synopsis of the film reads, “The legendary Clades are a family of explorers whose differences threatened to topple their latest and most crucial mission.” Strange World is currently set to premiere in theaters on November 23, 2022, in time for the holidays.
Helmed by Don Hall (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Raya and the Last Dragon”) and co-director/writer Qui Nguyen (co-writer “Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Roy Conli (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Tangled”).

Currently, the Festival of Fantasy Parade performs twice daily at 12:00pm & 3:00 pm but starting on October 9th Disney will be removing the 12:00pm performance.
Festival of Fantasy Parade in the Magic Kingdom has been running 2 performances daily since its return in March of this year.

He’ll be appearing at the WonderGround Gallery Artist Showcase, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sept. 24-25, 2022, where you will have the opportunity to have select pieces signed.

Throughout the Downtown Disney District, you’ll see a fantastic display of unique floral arrangements called silletas, inspired by Colombia and Walt Disney Animation Studios “Encanto.” This particular silleta features 27 flags in alphabetical order that represent 27 nations of Latin and Hispanic communities, using plant materials indigenous to countries in South and Central America, such as sunflowers and lilies.
Throughout the Disneyland Resort, you may scoop up “Encanto” and Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” merchandise, pick up a pair of Brazilian-made Havaianas flip flops at California Sole, or an official World Cup jersey at Pelé Soccer, which is named after the legendary Brazilian superstar.

Look for the joyful, whimsical new Plaza de la Familia-inspired mural created by Asia Ellington, a Latina Disney artist and model designer, in the west alcove of the Downtown Disney District.

Inspired by Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” and the spirit of Día de los Muertos, this celebration also features live entertainment, delightful foods, hands-on crafts and interactive experiences, now through Nov. 2, 2022.

There’s some hope on the horizon for seeing the possibility of a Beetlejuice 2 movie!
Confirmed by Deadline, Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B has boarded Beetlejuice 2, which brings a new sense of life to a project that has long been in the works at Warner Bros. Both Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder are expected to reprise their roles as Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz, respectively. The project could reportedly film as early as 2023.
Even though it hasn’t officially been through the movie studios’ greenlight committee yet, the news is hopeful with Brad Pitt’s production company taking an interest.
Beetlejuice is a classic film from director Tim Burton in which the spirits of a deceased couple are harassed by an unbearable family that has moved into their home, hiring a malicious spirit of the same name to drive them out. Michael Keaton played the title role in the original, with Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder and more rounding out the cast.
The titular character has been a pop culture icon since first appearing in 1988. He’s been shown in merchandise, an animated series, and even appearing at Universal theme parks. The first movie is still a cult classic, so let’s hope we get to see a sequel enter production soon!
Marvel Studios is Working on a ‘Shang-Chi’ Sequel with Returning Director Destin Daniel Cretton. There is no denying that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been a massive success for the studio, and unsurprisingly, Marvel Studios is already working on a sequel and a Disney+ live-action series!
A rumor from the r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers Reddit page noted that Marvel Studios is eyeing a February 14, 2025 release date for the sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. It would fill in the release date set aside for an ‘Untitled Marvel’ movie on Disney’s current theatrical schedule. Also, it would be a great chance to explore more territories with the characters prior to the 2025 Avengers movie.
Previously, Marvel Studios President and CCO Kevin Feige has shared that Marvel Studios is developing a sequel to the hit new film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Destin Daniel Cretton will return to write and direct for the studio. The film was an instant hit during its theatrical run this year and the studio is eager to dive deeper into the lore and characters! Reportedly, Marvel Studios is looking to begin filming for Shang-Chi 2 in 2023.
The Shang-Chi sequel will likely join Phase 5 of the MCU. It is currently unknown who would return for a second Shang-Chi film, but we fully expect the return of Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Awkwafina as Katy, and Meng’er Zhang as Xialing.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is now available to stream via Disney+ and for sale on DVD, Digital, 4K Ultra-HD, and Blu-ray. This is a developing story, so be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for updates and all things Marvel!
Disney CEO Bob Chapek has big plans in store for blending Disney+ with real life theme park experiences.
Disney is looking to merge its streaming and theme park business in new ways, combining viewer and visitor data to make Disney+ a platform for consumer engagement.
“We call it next-gen storytelling. We tend not to use the M word [Metaverse] too often, because it has a lot of hair on it. But yes, Disney+ will not just be a movie service platform, but it’s going to become an experiential lifestyle platform. A platform for the whole company to embody both the physical things that you might be able to experience in a theme park, but also the digital experiences that you can get through media.”

If a family goes to a Disney park, for instance, Chapek said the company will know exactly what they did.
“Let’s say you stay a week. We got seven days, 24 hours a day. We know everything that you do in the park,” he said. “And if you give us the permission and ability through the membership app, we’ll program your Disney+ experience, not according to what you watched last or what other people who watch this show, but to what you did, what you experienced.”
However, time will tell what is could be in store because he noted the company is only in the early stages of these plans.
