This year Edible Orlando Field to Feast dinner is bringing Disney chefs together to benefit the Kids Cafe Program of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. This will be the 8th year running for this charitable event.
This event will focus on locally grown foods. Disney chefs will showcase a variety of nutritious meal options. The proceeds from this event will benefit Kids cafe a program providing after-school meals to children in need in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties.
When & Where
Edible Orlando’s Field to Feast event begins November 5th at Long Scott Farms in Mount Dora, Florida from 2:30-5:30 PM. The afternoon will be filled with lots of delicious beverages and bites to try.
The event kicks off at 2:30 Pm with a 30-minute reception where you can chat with culinary experts and sommeliers.
From 3-5:30 PM try some culinary cusine at several stations that will be serving dishes made by the talented chefs behind Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park, Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, The Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Flying Fish at Disney’s BoardWalk, Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Bakery, EPCOT Festivals, and Global Catered Events.
To further enhance your dining experience, each offering will be expertly paired with wines personally selected by Master Sommelier George Miliotes of Wine Bar George at Disney Springs.
At Field to Feast there will also be a raffle to participate in, live music performed by Blender, plus tours of Long & Scott Farms in a hay wagon! This farm is not only family-run by fourth-generation farmers, but it’s also the only farm still harvesting Zellwood sweet corn.

A viral video making the rounds online shows a family reportedly sneaking an older child through the Magic Kingdom gates in an infant stroller. Once past the cast members, you can see the older child getting out of the infant stroller and proceeding on.
The video, posted by @myfrienditsmebarbie was labeled when ticket prices go up… Many of the people in the comment section were in support of the poster.
Currently, children under the age of 3 do not have to pay for park admission at Walt Disney World. While we are uncertain how old this child is at the time of this writing the post had 7.2 million views with almost 7,000 comments.

Hasbro’s PJ Masks Team up with Give Kids the World to Celebrate Real World Heroes. Yesterday we spent the morning having Ice Cream for breakfast with Mayor Clayton and the Volunteers at Give Kids the World Village and got to watch 2 brand new episodes of Hasbro’s PJ Masks featuring two alumni of GKTW. Joining the watch party was no other than Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko from PJ Masks.
This summer, the PJ MASKS and Give Kids The World selected two very special kids to write and cameo in their very own episodes of PJ Masks: In Real Life: Kid Heroes edition. The successful YouTube series features kids acting out their favorite heroic show-inspired adventures with over 300 million lifetime views since its launch in October 2020. In addition, Hasbro will donate $10,000 to support Give Kids The World’s mission to deliver happiness and hope to critically ill children and their families during life-changing wish vacations. 2022 Dollywood’s Harvest Festival begins this Friday!
Dollywood guests are sure to have a “hoot” during this year’s Harvest Festival presented by Humana (Sept. 23- Oct. 29) thanks to a brand-new area created within the family-favorite Great Pumpkin LumiNights presented by Covenant Health.
Appropriately named Hoot Owl Hollow, the area features hundreds of pumpkins in Dollywood’s Craftsman’s Valley that celebrate the nocturnal creature, including a massive 14’ tall version created with more than 150 carved white pumpkins. It’s just the latest addition to the event that has overwhelmingly become one of America’s favorite fall family destinations, and it surely will have guests pulling an “owl-nighter” in order to experience “owl” the fun!
A longstanding tradition for so many, the Harvest Festival greets guests with the surrounding mountainsides draped in vibrant colors. Dollywood’s landscaping and fresh décor accent the autumn atmosphere and bring the beauty right into the park, making it ripe for families to create their picture-perfect pumpkin photo ops to share with friends!
At night, Great Pumpkin LumiNights, one of the nation’s premier family-friendly harvesttime events, provides bushels of memories for guests, thanks to thousands of glowing and carved pumpkins throughout Dollywood. For those with small children—or anyone looking for a fun, not scary experience—this event is certainly the cream of the crop. Families can bask in the glow as they wander through displays in Dollywood’s Timber Canyon, Wilderness Pass, Wildwood Grove and Craftsman’s Valley areas. No festival at Dollywood is complete without award-winning entertainment, and the Harvest Festival certainly delivers. Several genres are well-represented with a wide-range of Southern gospel and bluegrass artists, as well as Americana acts and classic country performers scheduled to appear. In all, more than 1900 performances take place during the Harvest Festival.
Fresh off a finalist appearance on America’s Got Talent, Chapel Hart graces the stage of DP’s Celebrity Theater on Oct. 2. Country music legend John Anderson—known for hits like Swingin’, Seminole Wind, and Straight Tequila Night—visits the park on Oct. 10. Contemporary Christian group Sidewalk Prophets visits Sept. 28, while Southern gospel favorites including The Collingsworth Family (Sept. 26), Karen Peck and New River (Oct. 5), Triumphant Quartet (Oct. 19) and The Isaacs (Oct. 21) also entertain guests throughout the festival. Bluegrass is well represented with Rhonda Vincent and the Rage (Oct. 24), Dailey & Vincent (Oct. 24) and more set to perform. Knoxville’s Emily Ann Roberts—who placed second on season nine of NBC’s The Voice—performs Oct. 20.

Dollywood’s culinary team has created a smorgasbord of creations to take advantage of the bountiful supply of crops provided by the Smoky Mountain harvest. The smells of smoked bratwursts, turkey legs, or smoked andouille sausage mac and cheese pair nicely with the fresh tastes of sweet potato poutine, spiced pumpkin bisque and BUSH’S three bean pumpkin chili. For sweet treats, the ever-popular pumpkin spice is in full supply with items ranging from pumpkin spice churros with pumpkin fluff to pumpkin spice iced coffee. Items like the maple pecan bacon funnel cake, hot apple cider, wassail or an apple pie milkshake are perfect to carry and enjoy while admiring the beauty of Dollywood in the fall.
Several other guest favorites return to the Harvest Festival, including the colossal pumpkins—last year’s pumpkins ranged in weight from 800 to 1500 lbs. each—which come from growers across the East Coast. Visiting artisans and makers display their handmade wares at locations throughout Dollywood, with many demonstrating the talented skills and techniques they use as they create their one-of-a-kind treasures.
The Harvest Festival fun also is celebrated at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa with themed activities and harvest décor planned throughout the resort’s property.
Guests can enjoy live entertainment by featured Harvest Festival performers in the resort’s atrium every Tuesday including performances by The Young Fables, The Woods, Billy and Cruz Contreras, the High Beams, and Kate and Corey. Daily roaming performers also can be found throughout the resort.
The resort’s culinary team is cooking up special dining experiences, including an unforgettable wine pairing event on Saturday, Oct. 23. In The Lounge, Guests can feast upon delicious Harvest-themed food and beverage options. At The Spa at DreamMore Resort, Guests can relax with special treatments infused with fall scents and ingredients. Epcot officially celebrates 40 years on October 1st, 2022 and while details have been a little slim starting tomorrow we should have more information on the 40th Anniversary Merchandise including a release date!

Recipe for Almond Sweet Corn Cake, a Fun Halloween Treat at the Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is full of tasty Halloween eats and treats right now! One of those treats is the Almond Sweet Corn Cake. This intriguing treat is available at Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.
Upon first glance, you might ask yourself, “Is this cake or is it corn?” It really does look like corn on the cob! After testing (and tasting) this recipe, we can confirm that it is a dessert – and it’s a delicious one at that! The cake texture is perfect, it’s not too sweet and the subtle corn flavor pairs well with the brown butter to make a unique fall treat. Decorating the cake with white chocolate and candy corn makes this even more festive for the fall season!
It’s your lucky day because we’re sharing the recipe with you! Plan ahead on this one as the batter rests in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours to allow time for the flavors and texture to develop. The recipe calls for brown butter, which takes a few minutes longer than melting butter. The darker color and the nuttier, richer flavor of the brown butter are always worth the extra time it takes to make brown butter. Now, let’s get to the full recipe.
ALMOND SWEET CORN CAKE from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe at Magic Kingdom Park Makes 4 Cakes
ALMOND SWEET CORN CAKE
10 tablespoons butter
7 egg whites
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup almond flour
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons corn extract
1 teaspoon yellow food coloring
TOPPING
1 cup white chocolate melting discs
Yellow food coloring
Orange food coloring
Candy corn
FOR ALMOND SWEET CORN CAKE:
Melt butter in small saucepan over medium-low heat, swirling occasionally for 5 minutes. Once butter foams and begins to brown, pour butter and solids into a small bowl. Cool for 15 minutes.
Whip egg yolks in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment for 20 seconds; set aside.
Combine powdered sugar, almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Add reserved egg whites, corn extract, and yellow food coloring and whisk to combine. Stir in brown butter.
Cover and refrigerate batter 8-12 hours before baking.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread 1/2 cup batter into four 7.3-inch silicone corn molds. Place molds on baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes and remove from molds.
Cool completely before decorating.
FOR TOPPING:
Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl according to package instructions.
Evenly divide melted white chocolate among 3 bowls. Leave one bowl white. Add desired amount of yellow and orange to remaining bowls to make yellow and orange icing to match candy corn.
Drizzle each cooled cake with all 3 colors of white chocolate and decorate with candy corn.
Note: Always use caution when handling sharp objects and hot contents. Please supervise children who are helping or nearby. This recipe has been converted from a larger quantity in restaurant kitchens. The flavor profile may vary from the restaurant’s version.

ZOOTOPIA+ — Nov. 9 The breakout hit film is becoming a series on Disney+ and is set to lampoon famous movies and TV shows throughout Hollywood history. Get ready for “Real Housewives of Rodentia,” “So You Think You Can Prance,” and “The Godfather of the Bridge,” among others.
Strange World — Nov. 23 The Clades are a family of explorers famous around the globe. However, after stumbling upon a strange new world that’s full of danger and adventure, the family will need to learn to work through their differences in order to survive their most treacherous expedition yet. The cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Jaboukie Young-White, Dennis Quaid, and Lucy Liu.
Disenchanted — Nov. 24 (Disney+) Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey reprise their roles in this sequel to Enchanted that now finds Giselle trying to navigate motherhood and living a “normal” life. But with a bit of magic, and Maya Rudolph playing the villain, classic fairytale shenanigans ensue.
Disney’s Snow White movie with Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler has the March 22, 2024 release date. Also, Pixar’s Inside Out 2 will be released on June 14, 2024.
Pixar’s Elio will release in theaters March 1, 2024. In the story, 11-year-old dreamer Elio is artistic, creative and an avid INdoorsman who finds it hard to fit in. Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to “The Lion King,” won’t release until July 5, 2024, but director Barry Jenkins was on hand to show a never-before-seen sneak peek at D23 Expo and share a little about the film, which is currently in production. Told in flashbacks—Rafiki, Timon and Pumbaa tell the story of Mufasa to a young lion cub—“Mufasa” reveals the rise of one of the greatest kings of the Pride Lands.
Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, “Haunted Mansion” is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters.
