Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Glows with Christmas Magic for 2025

The holidays have arrived at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, transforming the resort into a warm, rustic winter wonderland wrapped in pine, plaid, and Pacific Northwest charm. While there’s no gingerbread house at the Lodge this year, the decorations more than make up for it with their cozy frontier flair and towering holiday centerpiece.

Outside, oversized wreaths greet guests at the porte cochere, each framed with white ribbon, red florals, and golden sun medallions. Garland drapes along railings and patios, while moose-topped arrangements deck the entryway in true Wilderness Lodge fashion.

Step inside and you’re met with the star of the show: a giant Christmas tree stretching nearly to the lobby’s iconic vaulted ceiling. Its warm yellow glow, 3D star topper, and themed ornaments — from snowshoes to teepees to woodland birds — make it picture-perfect from every angle.

High above the lobby doors, light-up deer figures and small illuminated trees add a soft wintry sparkle. Buffalo-check bows, red florals, and classic garland cascade from the balconies above, while animal-themed wreaths adorn the back windows overlooking the indoor creek.

Even the bridge over the stream and the hallway to Roaring Fork join the festivities with matching garland and themed accents. Two smaller Christmas trees nearby are decorated with miniature forest creatures that feel right at home in this woodsy retreat.

A festive treats counter will also open daily at 2 p.m., serving cheddar gougère, assorted cookies, hot cocoa, cider, and even a gingerbread martini for guests looking to sip something seasonal by the fireplace.

New Holiday Exhibit at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Celebrates The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Santa Clause, Noelle & More

Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially transformed into a holly-jolly haven with a brand-new seasonal exhibit, and it is overflowing with Christmas movie nostalgia. From The Santa Clause to The Muppet Christmas Carol, Babes in Toyland, and Noelle, this festive display brings together costumes, props, and holiday history in one delightfully cozy walkthrough.

The marquee outside has been updated to highlight the new “Disney Takes A Holiday” offerings. Inside, guests will find three holiday experiences: a themed exhibit, a Santa Claus meet and greet, and a rotation of classic holiday shorts shown continuously in the theater.

The exhibit begins with a snowy-night photo backdrop complete with a red bench — instant Christmas card material. From there, it’s a sleigh ride through decades of holiday filmmaking magic.

One of the most impressive displays showcases iconic costumes and props from The Santa Clause franchise. Tim Allen’s Santa suit, Bernard’s and Judy’s outfits, Santa’s business card, Comet’s nametag, the magical snow globes from the sequels, and even the first page of the Naughty and Nice List sit beneath a letter-filled Christmas tree.

Babes in Toyland is represented through vintage toys, dolls, books, and collectible artwork celebrating the 1961 film. It’s a charming throwback to Disney’s early holiday storytelling.

Two of Anna Kendrick’s cheerful outfits from Noelle (2019) appear alongside The Book of Santa and the enormous Naughty and Nice scroll, set before a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.

And of course, the headliners: classic costumes from The Muppet Christmas Carol. The Great Gonzo’s Charles Dickens attire, Rizzo’s festive outfit, Tiny Tim’s ensemble worn by Robin, Kermit’s Bob Cratchit look, and even a model of a village house set are displayed together in all their nostalgic glory.

Between the cheerful décor, Christmas movie treasures, and the chance to meet Santa right next door, Walt Disney Presents is officially one of the sweetest holiday stops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year.

Great Movie Ride Figures Make a Surprise Holiday Comeback at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Talk about a nostalgia sleigh ride. Disney’s Hollywood Studios just delivered a festive surprise on Hollywood Blvd with a brand-new holiday window at Tailors to the Stars, and it features none other than repurposed figures from The Great Movie Ride’s iconic Footlight Parade scene.

The display includes three mannequins that Cast Members have confirmed were once part of the shimmering, synchronized-swimmer tableau that opened the beloved attraction. Now, they’re stepping back into the spotlight with a yuletide twist.

Each figure is dressed in a candy cane–striped ensemble complete with a glittery silver tutu, red sequined accents, and a peppermint-topped Santa hat. A peppermint-swirl backdrop frames the dancers, giving the window the full “old Hollywood holiday” treatment while tying into the boulevard’s seasonal décor.

For longtime fans, the callback hits hard. The original Footlight Parade scene recreated Busby Berkeley’s famed “By a Waterfall” number from the 1933 musical starring James Cagney. The dancers once rotated atop a tiered fountain before the mechanism was later replaced with a static set, but their art deco styling and sparkle remained a memorable start to the attraction’s cinematic journey.

Seeing these figures back in public — after years of storage — is a holiday treat in itself. It’s a rare moment where Disney dips into its own history to celebrate the season, and it brings a warm wave of Great Movie Ride nostalgia to Hollywood Studios.

Gingerbread Cheer Arrives at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn for the 2025 Holiday Season

The holidays have officially checked in at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, and the lobby looks sweeter than ever thanks to the return of its charming gingerbread house, festive décor, and a full slate of seasonal treats. If you love Disney gingerbread displays, this one is a must-see — equal parts cozy, whimsical, and absolutely packed with character cameos.

This year’s gingerbread house once again takes inspiration from the BoardWalk Deli, complete with twinkling rooftop lights, icicle trim, striped awnings, and a dusting of powdered sugar snow. Peek through the windows and you’ll spot Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Figaro, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy lending a hand in the bakery. Mickey even spins as he works, naturally adding a little extra flourish to the holiday magic.

Outside the tiny storefronts, a miniature BoardWalk street scene features Christmas trees, branded trash cans, and seasonal signage. There’s even a working cuckoo clock above the deli windows and Mickey-shaped wreaths decorated with gumdrops, candy canes, popcorn, and Cast Member-name ornaments. It’s a sugary celebration from top to bottom.

And speaking of sugar, the ingredients list is just as impressive as the display itself. The gingerbread creation uses 68 gallons of orange blossom honey, 54 pounds of flour, 18 pounds of fondant, and more, crafted by 24 bakery Cast Members who spent a combined 280 hours decorating it.

Holiday merch is also available at the treats table, including a limited-edition BoardWalk Inn gingerbread pin and ornament. Both feature the gingerbread deli design and seasonal characters, and the table opens daily from 2 to 9:30 p.m.

Treats on the menu include Italian rainbow cookies, Linzer cookies, sugar cookies, caramel corn cookies, gluten-friendly gingerbread Mickeys, chocolate bars, gingersnaps, and Joffrey’s hot cocoa with optional peppermint, gingerbread, and boozy upgrades. A true BoardWalk holiday snack stroll.

Throughout the lobby, garlands drape from columns, wreaths line the check-in area, and carnival-inspired Christmas trees frame the gingerbread house. A larger tree outside on the lawn continues the seaside-holiday theme with a red-green-gold star topper.

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World for the holidays, the BoardWalk Inn is absolutely worth a festive detour — this year’s gingerbread display is loaded with charm, craft, and candy-coated details from floor to ceiling.

Toy Story Director Defends making a 5th Movie

Toy Story 5 Director Reveals Why the Story Needs to Continue

Toy Story 5 director Andrew Stanton is pushing back against concerns that the franchise is stretched too thin. In an interview with Empire magazine, the Oscar-winning filmmaker defended the continuation of the series by arguing that the evolving relationship between children and toys with each new generation means there is “no limit” to how many Toy Story stories can be told.

“So ‘3’ was the end… of the Andy years,” Stanton told Empire. “Nobody’s being robbed of their trilogy. They can have that and never watch another if they don’t want to. But I’ve always loved how this world allows us to embrace time and change. There’s no promise that it stays in amber.”

The plot of Toy Story 5 centers on Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the crew confronting a new, non-traditional adversary: a futuristic, iPad-like device called the Lilypad. Director Andrew Stanton clarified that the film isn’t a simple battle; instead, it’s an exploration of an “existential problem: that nobody’s really playing with toys anymore.” Stanton noted that while technology has changed lives, the film won’t simplify the issue by merely “mak[ing] tech the villain,” but rather explore what this evolution means for both the toys and the children who own them.

Arriving six years after the previous installment, Toy Story 5 has big shoes to fill: Toy Story 4 became the franchise’s highest-grossing film, earning $1 billion globally and winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature (following Toy Story 3’s win). The beloved voice cast returns, featuring Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), Joan Cusack (Jessie), and Tony Hale (Forky). They are joined by new voices, including Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants and Past Lives star Greta Lee as the antagonistic tablet, Lilypad.

Toy Story 5 opens in theaters June 19, 2026. Are you planning on seeing it in theaters?

The installation of Magic Kingdom’s iconic Christmas tree is a logistical marvel performed entirely under the cover of darkness. Once the final guest has departed and the monorail has made its last run around 11:30 PM, crews descend on Town Square, preparing the site and gathering all the necessary equipment.

By 1:45 AM, the process is underway, with a large crane installing the gift-box base before stacking the tree’s sections—largest to smallest—like giant building blocks. By 5:30 AM, the massive tree is capped off.

As the sun begins to rise, attention turns to the fine details: other crew members finalize the decorative touches on the base. The finished product is unveiled at approximately 6:15 AM when the lights are tested. The entire area is then meticulously cleared, ensuring the sparkling new holiday centerpiece is perfectly in place to welcome the first arriving guests after 8:00 AM.

The Grinchiest Meet and Greet of the Season Returns to Universal Islands of Adventure

The mean green king of Christmas chaos is officially back, and he’s ready to roast your holiday spirit like a Who-ham on a spit. The Grinch meet and greet has once again taken over Seuss Landing at Universal Islands of Adventure, bringing all the snark, sass, and Seuss-approved silliness you could want for the 2025 Christmas season.

This year, you’ll find the Grinch holding court in the former Honk Honkers space, right across from Moose Juice, Goose Juice. A full outdoor queue lines up with stanchions, and a digital wait-time sign gives guests a reality check about just how popular our favorite furry grouch truly is. Spoiler alert: the lines get long. Really long. But hey, meeting the Grinch is practically a holiday rite of passage at Universal.

Once inside, each party enters one at a time for their very own showdown with Mr. Grumpy Green. The former sweets shop has been transformed into a wonderfully wacky Who-ville hideaway complete with bright Christmas trees, festive décor, a pink chaise lounge, and even the Grinch’s sleigh piled high with presents he definitely didn’t borrow without asking.

And the Grinch himself? He’s decked out head to toe in his classic Santa suit — hat, jacket, shoes and all. Expect him to pose for photos, strike dramatic Grinch-y stances, and judge your life choices with all the holiday warmth of a cooling roast beast.

If you want even more Grinchmas goodness, he’s also starring in The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast, anchoring the Universal Holiday Tour, and taking center stage in The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular. Not to mention the Whos who roam Seuss Landing bringing even more whimsy to the season.

Are you planning to meet the Grinch this year, or will you leave him to his holiday hijinks?
