Capture your Moment PhotoPass Photo Session Increasing Prices

A newer photo option at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort is the Capture Your Moment PhotoPass session. Guests can enjoy a private photo shoot session at one of the theme parks. Now, along with other offerings, the price for Capture Your Moment has increased.

The Capture Your Moment private session is twenty minutes long, and involves a photographer taking pictures of you and your group, allowing you to capture your moment for any special occasion. Up to eight people can be in on one session, and prices may vary by date. Photos are not included and must be either purchased separately, or linked to an account with PhotoPass or an Annual Pass that includes PhotoPass. There is also the option to book two back-to-back sessions to include more locations and pictures, as each photo session only includes one location.

The price for Capture Your Moment was originally $79 but has now increased to $99 at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Disney PhotoPass photographers will snap shots of you in a select World Showcase location! Choose from the Germany Pavilion, Italy Pavilion, American Adventure Pavilion, Japan Pavilion or Morocco Pavilion (subject to availability).

Disney Springs Art Walk Celebrates Hispanic and Latin American Heritage

Two new artists have added their creations to the Disney Springs Art Walk. Both pieces celebrate Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month.

Inspired by their strong Hispanic roots and just in time for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, artists Leo Gómez and Don Rimx boldly expressed pride for their culture, telling unique stories with their Art Walk pieces. Check out the video below to go behind the scenes and learn about the inspiration for their art.

And the celebration of Hispanic and Latin American culture doesn’t stop there. I am elated to announce that world-famous Brazilian street artist, Eduardo Kobra, will be one of the next artists to display his work at the Disney Springs Art Walk.

With over 3,000 murals spanning over five continents, Kobra has a distinguished style with unique techniques involving airbrush and spray paint. His newest piece will be a Disney-inspired creation that like other Art Walk murals, will be a must-see for Walt Disney World Resort guests.

The Disney Springs Art Walk is known as a Canvas of Expression and it continues to grow! Guests can stroll through Town Center at Disney Springs to view vibrant displays from talented artists.

The Art Walk features both local artists and artists from around the globe who create murals bursting with color, emotion and the spirit of their cultures. Come see their artwork up close and experience the individual style and voice of each artist.

Jamie Lee Curtis wants to do Freaky Friday 2 with Lindsay Lohan

Jamie Lee Curtis wishes to make a ”Freaky Friday” sequel with Lindsay Lohan.

While visiting The View to promote her new movie Halloween Ends, Curtis was asked by co-host Sarah Haines if she would participate in a follow-up to the 2003 film.

Sarah Haines asked Curtis to reveal what she’d want to see in the film, and Curtis announced, “I’ve already written to Disney, my friends at Disney. I’m in their new Haunted Mansion movie.”

She then clamored, “Let me be the grandma! Let me be the old grandma who switches places.”

Curtis then pitched ideas on what her and Lohan’s characters could be doing in the possible sequel.

“Lindsay Lohan and me back in Freaky Friday. She just made a Christmas movie, I believe, and she got married. … It’s all good. Bring it! Let me be the grandma, let me be the old grandma who switches places, so then Lindsay gets to be the sexy grandma who’s still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways you would be happy with Mark Harmon,” she continued.

“I would like to see Lindsay be the hot grandma, and I would like to see me try to deal with toddlers today. I want to be a helicopter parent in today’s world.”

Freaky Friday was an adaptation of Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name, and followed Curtis and Lohan’s mother-daughter pair as they unwittingly switch bodies thanks to a mysterious and magical Chinese fortune cookie. At the time, it grossed over $160 million worldwide, and earned Curtis a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

The idea of making a Freaky Friday sequel 20 years later comes as a fun suggestion given how Disney+ recently released a sequel to Hocus Pocus almost 30 years later.

Bluey Balloon Added to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2022

This year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade will have a new addition for little ones to enjoy. Bluey from the hit children’s TV series Bluey will make her giant debut as one of the character balloons for the famous holiday parade.

The Bluey balloon will make its debut with 3.5 million spectators and 50 million viewers nationwide on Thursday, November 24, in the world-famous Parade.

“As one of the most popular characters in children’s entertainment today, we could not be more excited to welcome Bluey, all the way from Australia, to the 96^th Macy’s Parade line-up,” said Jordan Dabby, producer of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. “Millions of families will be thrilled to see Bluey celebrate her first New York Thanksgiving as she soars above the streets of Manhattan on Parade Day.”

The Emmy^®-winning series, streaming on Disney+ and airing on Disney Junior and Disney Channel, is beloved by kids and parents alike. The Australian television series follows the adventures of the blue puppy who lives with her dad Bandit, her mom Chili, and her little sister, Bingo.

“It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” Will Not Air on Broadcast TV This Year

”Rats!” For the first time in over 50 years, the classic ”It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” will not be aired on broadcast television. Fans will have to change their plans this year if they still plan on watching Linus sit up all night waiting for the Great Pumpkin.

Last year, the special aired on PBS and PBS Kids, but the network’s social media account confirmed that this won’t be the case in 2022.

Apple TV+ became the exclusive home to PEANUTS specials back in 2020, allowing subscribers to enjoy them all year, though the passion for the specials among audiences has occasionally seen partnerships made to allow for airings on linear networks. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown will be available for free on Apple TV+ from October 28th through October 31st.

”It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” has aired on television every year since 1966. Based on the comic strip by Charles M. Schulz, it was the third Peanuts special to be produced. The classic animated tale is about our favorite blockhead, Charlie Brown, and his pals at Halloween. While most children prefer to have parties or go trick-or-treating on Halloween night, Linus is a faithful believer in a visit from the Great Pumpkin. To see the Great Pumpkin, he is willing to stay up all night in a sincere-looking pumpkin patch waiting for his arrival.

Construction Continues on Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. in the Magic Kingdom. Tron Lightcycle/ Run construction has reached a new phase, with the installation of landscaping. Furthermore, the Walt Disney World Railroad has completed the installation of the tracks and for the first time in years has a complete circuit around the Magic Kingdom.

Now we can see what we think is going to be the shared gift shop of Space Mountain and Disney’s newest coaster almost finished with the outside refurbishments. Lighting is being added to match the Tron aesthetic, along with awnings being removed, and now what looks like backdoors are being installed. Or front doors, depending on what way you enter.

MagicBand+ Officially Debuts at Disneyland Resort on Oct. 26th

Disneyland fans rejoice! The news you have been waiting for has finally been announced! MagicBand+ officially debuts at Disneyland on October 26, 2022! If you have been waiting for Disney World’s awesome bands to finally come to Disneyland, then you are in luck.

Eligible cast members, Magic Key holders and Disney Vacation Club members will have the opportunity to be among the first to purchase MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort from select locations and get a first look at its features before the official launch! Starting Oct. 19, select merchandise locations around the Disneyland Resort will have MagicBand+ available for purchase with the presentation of a valid photo ID plus a valid company-issued ID, Disney Vacation Club membership or Magic Key pass. From there, you’ll be able to set up your band and try it out in the parks (valid park admission and reservation required)!

Hands-free convenience and enhanced park experiences
We previously shared how the easy-to-use features of MagicBand+ will provide seamless and hands-free convenience during your visit. With a tap of your band, you’ll be able to enter the Disneyland Resort theme parks (valid park admission and reservation required), easily check in at Lightning Lane entrances (separate Lightning Lane entry required) and link photos from a Disney PhotoPass photographer to your Disney account.

MagicBand+ will also unlock a new dimension of Disney storytelling, coming alive with color-changing LED lights and haptic vibrations during select park experiences and entertainment. For example, you may discover MagicBand+ adding surprising and magical touches to certain entertainment at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure park!

At night, MagicBand+ will dazzle along with nighttime spectaculars as it illuminates and pulses in sync to special moments during “World of Color” in Disney California Adventure park, “Fantasmic!” in Disneyland park and other select nighttime shows throughout the year. MagicBand+ will also interact with the two recently announced nighttime spectaculars debuting on January 27, 2023, as part of the Disney 100 Years of Wonder anniversary celebration: “World of Color – One” at Disney California Adventure and “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland.

At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, you’ll be able to use MagicBand+ to seek virtual bounties hidden across Black Spire Outpost in the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters interactive quest. Then, when you find your bounty, you can use the Play Disney Parks app’s augmented reality thermal viewer to reveal who’s hiding in the shadows.

You can use MagicBand+ at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, with varying features and experiences between the two destinations. All these features are just the beginning of the fun at the Disneyland Resort – more MagicBand+ innovations and experiences will be introduced in the future.

Stylish assortment of collectible designs
If you’re like me and can’t wait to sport MagicBand+ on a future visit (or start a collection of different designs!), here’s everything you need to know. Beginning Oct. 26, MagicBand+ will be available for all guests to purchase at the following locations:

Downtown Disney District: World of Disney, Disney’s Pin Traders
Disneyland park: Emporium, Pioneer Mercantile, Tomorrow Landing (reopening Oct. 26)
Disney California Adventure park: Elias & Co., Trolley Treats, Oswald’s, Seaside Souvenirs
Hotels of the Disneyland Resort: Disney’s Fantasia Shop, Mickey in Paradise, Acorns Gifts & Goods

Both kids and kids-at-heart will enjoy wearing and collecting MagicBand+! It’s size adjustable, and an impressive selection of more than 18 colors and designs will be available at launch, including five prints exclusive to Disneyland Resort. More options featuring favorite Disney characters and stories will continually be added – be on the lookout! While supplies last, Magic Key holders will be able to purchase a specially designed Magic Key band, which even has a unique light-up sequence.

Easy to use, customizable settings and rechargeable battery
Once your MagicBand+ is in hand, follow these three simple steps to set it up:

Step 1: Power on MagicBand+ by pressing on the button on the back once and tap the band to the back of your phone.

Step 2: You’ll be directed to open or download the Disneyland app.*

Step 3: Follow the instructions in the Disneyland app to link the MagicBand+ to your Disney account, assign it to your ticket or pass and pair it to your smartphone.

To enjoy all the available features of MagicBand+, you’ll need a Disney account and the Disneyland app. For more information, visit Disneyland.com or ask a question using the Chat with Us feature on the Disneyland app.

MagicBand+ is also rechargeable, so you can use it again and again each time you visit. I recommend charging it overnight with the included USB charging cable, and once fully charged, be sure to power it off until you’re ready to use it again. Depending on your use, a fully charged battery on MagicBand+ can last between one to three days. For all the Grizzly River Run fans, don’t worry about MagicBand+ getting wet – it’s waterproof!

Ashley Eckstein leads Cast Member Wellness Event at Galaxy’s Edge

Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, recently hosted an exclusive Disney Cast Life wellness event in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Ashley led hundreds of cast members through important mindfulness techniques, including meditation and deep breathing exercises – some of which paid homage to Luke Skywalker’s training with Master Yoda.

“Mental health is just as important as physical health, which is why I’m so happy to be sharing these important exercises through the lens of Star Wars with cast members,” Ashley said. “In the films, Yoda taught Luke how to feel the Force, using techniques very similar to how we’re grounding ourselves with our surroundings today, connecting to the energy around us.”

Ashley also spent personal time with attendees, recounting stories of her own wellness journey throughout her Star Wars career and even shared how she discovered the inspiration behind her fashion and lifestyle brand, Her Universe.

“I wanted to give female Star Wars fans an opportunity to express their passion for the brand while helping change the perception that science fiction and fantasy is just for men,” Ashley shared about the Her Universe product line. “I also hope to inspire girls to create big dreams because if you can dream it, you can do it – something I’ve believed since my childhood visiting Walt Disney World and still today.”

The Angry Orchard Float at Disney Springs is Fall in a cup, Florida style. We may not get the falling leaves and cool sweater nights but we know how to stay cool and savor the flavors of Fall.

This Angry Orchard Hard Apple Cider Float has a DOLE Whip Pumpkin Soft Serve on top that makes this snack a tasty dessert and beverage in one. The Pumpkin DOLE Whip flavor is not overly strong and compliments the Angry Orchard hard cider well.

Where To Find The Angry Orchard Float & More

Swirls on the Water is a walk-up kiosk with a surf-inspired theme. They offer several specialty DOLE Whip-inspired treats and beverages. From their seasonal items like the fun Oogie Boogie DOLE Whip Nachos with black and orange waffle cone chips and gummy worms, to the 50th Celebration Cone with DOLE Whip Cookie Dough and Lemon Softserve on a blue cone with Mickey Topper.

Their selections are fun and adventurous. If you are more of a stick-to-the-classics DOLE Whip fan it’s okay. They have good old traditional DOLE Whip too.

There are even alcoholic and non-alcoholic Dole Whip Floats to try. My favorite is the Pineapple Juice with DOLE Whip Pineapple topped with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum or Malibu Coconut Rum.

You can find Swirls by the Water on the Marketplace side of Disney Springs just across the bridge heading toward Rainforest Cafe. My favorite thing is grabbing a snack, pulling up a chair, and watching the volcano go off at the Rainforest cafe.

So save that Spirit Jersey, you bought at World of Disney for when you get home to cooler temps and grab a cool DOLE Whip Float and enjoy Fall like the locals.
