Disney has made a surprise shift for the 2023-2025 theatrical release schedule, with some titles being added, adjusted, and one Marvel Studios removed. Some of the most notable changes include the production halt of Marvel Studios’ Blade reboot due to Director changes, ‘Deadpool 3‘ filming delays, Avengers: Secret Wars release date being pushed back 6 months, and the additions of Chevalier (Searchlight Pictures) on April 7, 2023, A Haunting in Venice on September 15, 2023, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes on May 24, 2024.
Marvel Studios has been forced to push back the premiere of Blade to September 6, 2024 after Bassam Tariq stepped away as director siting scheduling conflicts, but will remain an executive producer for the film.
The shift has caused Deadpool 3 to move to November 8, 2024, the highly anticipated ‘Fantastic Four‘ reboot is now set to release on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025, with another previously scheduled untitled Marvel Studios film being pushed back to November 7, 2025. In addition, Avengers Secret Wars will now premiere on May 1, 2026, replacing yet another untitled upcoming Marvel Studios film.

New Baby Okapi Born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney has just introduced Beni the newest Baby Okapi born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Named by the keeper team, Beni was born in July to mom Olivia, and the pair remain in their backstage habitat where they spend time nuzzling, nursing, and bonding.
Beni is the twelfth okapi born at Walt Disney World Resort and the fifth at the lodge. The first calf to be born at Walt Disney World Resort since 2018, he currently weighs just under 100 pounds and stands a little over three feet tall from hoof to shoulder. He could eventually grow to between five and six feet tall and up to 650 pounds!
Disney’s animal care team is monitoring Beni and making sure he hits all the milestones of a growing okapi. In the coming months, he’ll make his debut on the Pembe Savanna – you may even catch a glimpse of him if you’re staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Beni is named in honor of a town in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the only country where endangered okapis are found.
These elusive animals live in rainforests, and black-and-white stripes on their hindquarters and front legs help camouflage them among the trees. Though they look similar to zebras, they’re actually closely related to giraffes.
Early on, okapi calves “tuck” themselves into nests where they hide from predators. Shy and reclusive okapis are nearly impossible to spot in the rainforest and have earned the nickname “ghosts of the forests.” In fact, okapis were thought to be a myth until 1901 when they were first “discovered” by western scientists. This endangered species is a national symbol of the DRC, and they are cherished and revered by the people who live there.
There is an estimated 20,000 okapi in the world, and their population continues to decline due to poaching and habitat loss.
Beni’s birth was recommended through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan, which ensures the responsible breeding of threatened species in managed care. In addition to working with the AZA, Disney has provided long-term support to okapis in the DRC through the Okapi Conservation Project which works to protect wildlife, support communities, and provide conservation education opportunities on the importance of protecting the forest for people and okapi.
In 2020, the Disney Conservation Fund also recognized the Okapi Conservation Project agroforestry team with the Disney Conservation Hero award. This annual award recognizes passionate individuals and teams who are working to save wildlife and engage their communities in conservation solutions. As we acknowledge World Okapi Day on Oct. 18, we celebrate the joyful arrival of Beni and the collective efforts to protect this stunning and vulnerable species.
During a recent interview with E! News, John Stamos explained why he has no interest in another Full House reboot after the passing of his dear friend and co-star Bob Saget (Danny Tanner). Saget passed away at the age of 65 in January 2021 in Orlando, FL while on tour with his wife. There have been rumbles that another Full House reboot or reunion may be in development, but John Stamos is having none of it.
When asked why, Stamos told E! News, “It’s just not the same without him. There’s something missing, there’s a piece missing. We’re doing a lot of tributes. I did that Netflix tribute [Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute], which was beautiful, I thought. Every chance I get, I talk about him. If we’re real quiet, we could hear him complaining right now that I don’t talk about him enough. We’ll continue to do tributes to him, but I don’t know about a Full House one, though.”
John did share that Saget had previously joked that another reboot “Fullest House would be the family and me in an urn on the fireplace.”

It features the pirate ship seen in the Peter Pan’s Flight attraction with the iconic red and white stripped sail on the front and the back decorated with gold leaf. You can even see the attraction’s safety bar!
On the opposite side of the main sail, you can see skull with bones in gold. The statue comes with a black base and a gold plaque that reads “Peter Pan’s Flight.”
The details are outstanding! Definitely a well done replica of the classic Fantasyland attraction.
Wizarding World fans were saddened to hear of the passing of Hogwarts’ favorite Keeper of Keys and Grounds, Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid). Coltrane was 72 years old when he passed and has many notable credits in film and television such as the Harry Potter films, Pixar’s Brave (Lord Dingwall), Cracker (Dr. Edward ‘Fitz’ Fitzgerald), Ocean’s Twelve (Matsui), James Bond films GoldenEye/The World is Not Enough (Valentin Zukovsky), and many more. His fellow Harry Potter cast members have been sharing their memories and condolences with fans. Here are the memories and sentiments they have shared:
Though he is notably not on social media, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) shared his condolences, stating: “Robbie was one of the funniest people I’ve met and used to keep us laughing constantly as kids on the set, I’ve especially fond memories of him keeping our spirits up on ‘Prisoner of Azkaban,’ when we were all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling stories and cracking jokes to keep morale up. I feel incredibly lucky that I got to meet and work with him and very sad that he’s passed. He was an incredible actor and a lovely man.”

Yesterday, we reported the sad news that Robbie Coltrane who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter Films passed away at the age of 72. Fans around the World came together to share their love and support for the late actor.

New Permit Filed for Construction on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom
A new permit has been filed for construction on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be replacing Splash Mountain at both Disney World and Disneyland.
The new permit contracts Balfour Beatty Construction LLC. Belfour Beatty Construction has previously worked on Pandora – The World of AVATAR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.
The permit will expire on June 30, 2024, but that doesn’t necessarily mean construction will be finished by that date. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to open sometime in 2024.
The all-new adventure which will bring guests into the world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film “The Princess and the Frog” like never before is coming to Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland park in California in late 2024.
Walt Disney Imagineers have been frequent travelers to Louisiana while conducting extensive research to ensure Tiana’s Bayou Adventure preserves the heart and soul of the city that inspired Princess Tiana’s story. From exploring the French Market and the bayou, to consulting with academics, chefs, musicians and cultural institutions, Imagineers have received inspiration from all over the region and learned from local experts along the way.
First announced in 2020, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take guests on a musical adventure inspired by the beloved story and characters from the fan-favorite film. Picking up where the film left off, guests will join Princess Tiana, Naveen and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration where everyone is welcome. Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou to original music inspired by songs from the film as they are brought into the next chapter of Tiana’s story.

A new report suggests Harrison Ford may be joining the cast of Marvel’s Thunderbolts as General Ross!
While speaking on The Hot Mic with John Rocha, Sneider said that multiple sources have indicated that Harrison Ford either is or was Marvel Studio’s top choice to star in the Thunderbolts movie.
Ford will be cast as Ross for multiple films, with his debut reportedly set to come in the upcoming Captain America: New World Order before joining another ensemble cast.
Following the rumor of Ford’s involvement in Thunderbolts from The Ankler insider, Jeff Sneider, it was reported that Ford’s casting was not announced at D23 Expo because Kathleen Kennedy “put her foot down,” and advised Disney against taking attention away from the fifth and final Indiana Jones film. As for the rest of the Thunderbolts cast, many big names were revealed at D23 Expo.
The main cast of the Thunderbolts movie was announced at D23, with Sebastian Stan returning as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent, Hannah John Kamen as Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
The Thunderbolts movie is set to be directed by Jake Schreier (Robot & Frank), with Eric Pearson (Black Widow) penning the script. Thunderbolts will hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
