Alan

Sadly we have to share with the world of the passing of British stage and screen actor Alan Rickman from cancer at age 69.

He had a wide verity of credits to his name, in the Disney community he was known for his voices as the Absolem the blue Caterpillar in the two Alice in Wonderland live-action movies and was the voice of Marvin the depressed robot in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

He was also well-known to the world as Professor Snape from the Harry Potter films. J.K. Rowling took to Twitter;

The British actor began his career with the Royal Shakespeare Company in theater and went on to star in many films such as Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Die Hard. He played many villains in movies but in real life was loved and cherished by many of his fellow actors.

He was also politically active with the left-wing Labour Party. He had secretly married his partner for over 50 years, Rima Horton, last year.

He will be sorely missed, our condolences go out to his family and many fan.
