The holidays have officially arrived at Universal Studios Hollywood, kicking off today with festive fun for all! Guests can immerse themselves in the dazzling holiday décor both inside the theme park and at Universal CityWalk Hollywood. Be sure to indulge in the tasty seasonal treats and grab unique festive gifts! This celebration of cheer continues daily through Sunday, January 4th.

The annual gingerbread house display at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is nothing short of magnificent. Mimicking the hotel’s distinctive architecture, this year’s edible masterpiece includes a charming nod to the Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast character dining experience at Storytellers Cafe.
Keep a close eye out: the spectacular structure features beloved characters like Scrooge McDuck and holds a fun challenge for guests—finding all 25 Hidden Mickeys cleverly baked into the piece!
Using features of the American Craftsman style of design and the distinct color palette of brown and green earthy tones seen throughout the Grand Californian, the talented pastry team added elements like snow, bows, and wreaths to make the house truly feel like a holiday home. It took 520 pounds of gingerbread dough and 720 hours to produce this festive feat, which guests can now find in the hotel lobby.
Turning your attention to the back of the display, you’ll find a heartwarming scene: Bob and Emily Cratchit (Mickey and Minnie) lovingly exchange gifts by a cozy fireplace, framed by a festive Christmas tree. Hercules and Meg Reunite Aboard the Disney Destiny for a Legendary Curtain-Call Moment
Talk about going the distance. The cast of the brand-new “Disney Hercules” stage musical aboard the Disney Destiny got a surprise worthy of Mount Olympus when Susan Egan and Tate Donovan, the original voices of Megara and Hercules from the 1997 animated classic, appeared onstage during the ship’s maiden voyage.
As the performers were getting ready to raise the curtain for the first official show in the Walt Disney Theatre, Egan and Donovan stepped out to greet the cast and cheer them on.
Egan, who serves as the ship’s godmother, looked right at home alongside Donovan as they reunited with a story that still has fans saying “Honey, you mean Hunk-ules.”
The Disney Destiny officially set sail on November 20, 2025, becoming the newest hero (and villain) of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The entire ship is themed to iconic Disney stories of bravery and mischief, and this staging of “Disney Hercules” is one of the crown jewels onboard.
With original voice talent cheering on the next generation of heroes, this curtain call was truly a zero-to-hero moment in no time flat.
Magic Kingdom Park Passes Completely Booked for Christmas Day 2025
If you were dreaming of spending Christmas morning on Main Street USA, sipping hot cocoa under that towering tree, you might want to check your list twice. Magic Kingdom’s Park Pass reservations for Christmas Day 2025 are officially gone, and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve is looking just as packed as Santa’s sleigh.
According to Disney’s reservation calendar, Magic Kingdom is fully booked for standard theme park ticket holders and Disney Resort guests from December 24 through December 31. On the bright side, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom still have availability during that window. And if you want to kick off 2026 with some extra pixie dust, all four parks are wide open on New Year’s Day.
Annual Passholders get a bit of a holiday bonus. While most tiers are blocked out during this peak week, Incredi-Pass holders aren’t restricted. They’ll still find December 25 fully booked, but every other date this month remains fair game for reservations.
Hope isn’t totally lost for guests dreaming of a Magic Kingdom Christmas. If you’re able to snag a reservation at a different park, you can still try to hop over later in the day. Passholders without reservations can also enter after 2 p.m. Just remember, Magic Kingdom often hits capacity on Christmas and may close to new arrivals. When it comes to Christmas at Walt Disney World, the crowds are definitely making it rein.

Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyland Park
This year’s gingerbread house inside the Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction is an homage to the Raven, one of the mansion’s ghostly inhabitants who guides guests on their journey, but takes a holiday of his own when the residents of Halloween Town come to visit.
Titled “A Murder Most Fowl,” the gingerbread house showcases 13 crows taking up residence in this haunting abode in his absence, and these feathered friends may be spotted moving from their perch, or watching you pass by with their glowing red eyes. A team of eight pastry chefs needed nearly 20 days and over 200 pounds of gingerbread to assemble this sweet spectacle, which stands at 13 feet tall.
This is a must-see and smell item for your holiday bucket list, especially because the mansion ballroom does indeed possess the scent of fresh gingerbread.
