The castle stage show had shifted to an afternoons-only schedule back on January 28 to accommodate ongoing repainting and refurbishment work on Cinderella Castle. Now, with visible progress picking up and fewer construction impacts during the day, Disney is expanding the schedule back to five performances daily. Starting May 10, guests can catch the show at 11:10 am, 12:30 pm, 1:50 pm, 4:00 pm, and 5:15 pm, marking a welcome return of earlier entertainment in the park.

This change is another strong sign that the castle project is nearing completion. Over the past several months, crews have drained the moat, repainted various sections of the structure, and worked in stages to refresh the park’s most iconic centerpiece. Disney has not officially announced an end date, but the return of morning entertainment suggests that the finish line is likely just around the corner.

Other entertainment offerings around the castle are still operating in modified formats for now. This particular tower was perched on the corner of the restaurant’s brick façade, a subtle but recognizable part of the skyline for longtime fans of the area. With Mama Melrose’s set to become Harryhausen’s from Monsters, Inc., the removal signals just how dramatically this space is being reimagined. This is not the first tower to come down recently, either. Another nearby water tower was removed just last week, leaving only a couple still standing for now. The tower above Gonzo’s Royal Flush, the former Muppets-themed restrooms, will remain but is currently surrounded by scaffolding as it gets re-themed. Meanwhile, a more distant tower near PizzeRizzo is still barely visible, though concept art suggests it will also be removed and replaced in a different location as construction progresses.

Beyond the towers, the land is undergoing a full-scale transformation. Brickwork has been stripped from parts of Gonzo’s Royal Flush, revealing structural framing beneath as crews prep for a completely new look. Over at the former MuppetVision 3D theater, preparations are underway for its transformation into “The Glob,” with new marquee elements expected to follow. And at the far end of the land, supports for the upcoming Monsters, Inc. door coaster have already begun to rise, giving us an early glimpse at the scale of what is coming next.

With each removed tower and exposed wall, the Muppets are making their exit and the monsters are moving in. It is a big shift for Hollywood Studios, and one that is quickly becoming very real as construction continues to reshape the area.

If you were expecting a dramatic reveal, this one is more of a blink-and-you-miss-it moment. From what we can see, the A-Wing and its surrounding space look largely unchanged from before the walls went up. There are no obvious signs of major refurbishment or visual updates, suggesting that any work completed was either minimal, behind-the-scenes, or simply routine maintenance to keep the Resistance fleet looking mission-ready.

While this particular project may not have delivered a big visual overhaul, there has been plenty of activity around Batuu East in recent weeks. New signage has been added to the former entrance used by Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser guests, a nearby seating area recently received overhead fans for a more comfortable break in the Florida heat, and construction continues near Savi’s Workshop. It is all part of a steady stream of small updates that continue to shape and refine the land.

While Disney never officially announced the work, the changes are pretty easy to spot. The top rear section of the Falcon appears to have received a combination of cleaning and fresh scenic paint, restoring details that had faded over time. From ground level, the ship still looks battle-worn as it should, but a closer look reveals a sharper, more intentional finish rather than the real-world wear that had started to creep in over the years.

One of the biggest giveaways is the return of more vibrant color accents across the ship’s surface. During a recent visit, even more gray paint had been added to the attraction’s exterior, continuing its shift from the original tan color to a cooler, more modern look, along with colorful paint that matches the recently updated car peaking through the scrim above the attraction entrance.

Another eye-catching update can be found on the attraction’s iconic upside-down stretch limo ride vehicle out front, which has now received a shiny new top coat. The refreshed finish gives the car a more polished, stage-ready appearance as it prepares to welcome a brand-new band. This follows the permanent closure of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith on March 1, as Disney moves full speed ahead with the Electric Mayhem taking over G-Force Records.

When the attraction reopens on May 26, 2026, guests will still step into the famous recording studio for a high-speed V.I.P. tour, but this time it is the Muppets running the show. Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem will headline the experience, joined by familiar faces like Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Scooter in the pre-show.

Disney has also revealed the ride’s full song lineup, featuring “Song 2,” “Born to be Wild” with Camilla the Chicken, “Love Rollercoaster” with Jennifer Hudson and Questlove, “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” with Def Leppard, and “Walking on Sunshine” with Kelly Clarkson.
