Look inside the New Tron Lightcycle Run Construction from the Newly Opening WDW Railroad. We are all well aware that the Walt Disney World Railroad opened today in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. With it opening up to guests again, we got to take a ride and go through the newly built tunnel that runs under Disney’s newest coaster.
Tron Lightcycle/ Run has been testing for months now, with a scheduled opening in Spring 2023. Where the new coaster sits in the Magic Kingdom it is hard to get a close-up look at the ride itself. Now with the return of the Train, and being able ti run through the new tunnel that runs under Tron, we got a closer look at the track. not only that but Disney has added some new voiceovers while running through the tunnel.
Take a look at some of the images we got today while riding the train.
Not the greatest image, a little fuzzy, but we did see the vehicle pass over us as we went by.
The creative voiceover process is as detailed as the train operation itself, and it all starts with our conductor. For these meticulously restored steam trains, we know the scenic grand circle tour must be guided by a voice our guests can envision and resonate with.
Someone who grew up on Main Street, U.S.A., dreaming of the day they’d be on the railroad. They’ve now achieved that dream, and they know everyone and everything at Magic Kingdom … an unofficial mayor of sorts. This conductor is humble, genial, and knowledgeable, and he’s eager to help passengers of these iconic steam trains get to their destinations around the park he loves so dearly.
While our conductor points you to the familiar sights on your left and right, we embrace what makes Magic Kingdom a place unlike any other, where you can escape into completely new worlds and celebrate with characters you love.
This legacy attraction now holds true the very nostalgia of opening day and blends it with the wonder of new adventures, immersing you into story after story as it loops around the park. You may even encounter a character or two along the way!

Former ‘That’s So Raven’ Star Orlando Brown Arrested in Ohio for Domestic Violence
According to TMZ and People.com, the former star of Disney’s ‘That’s So Raven’ was arrested and remains in police custody following an incident that saw the actor brandishing a hammer and knife in a threatening manner against his brother from Ohio.
TMZ reported that Orlando Brown had been staying with his brother in Ohio and using the home as a temporary residence. His brother Matthew contacted the police, saying that he, Orlando Brown “came at him and was acting “crazy” while holding the knife and hammer in his possession.
Matthew was not injured in the incident. Police arrived on the scene and arrested Orlando, who was in custody in Allen County with no bond currently set. Back in 2018, Brown appeared on an episode of Dr. Phil, where he discussed his battle with addiction, homelessness, and mental illness.
Orlando Brown is best known for his role as Eddie Thomas in the Disney Channel series “That’s So Raven.” The show aired from 2003 to 2007 and followed the adventures of a teenage girl named Raven who had psychic abilities and her attempts to navigate her life and relationships while keeping her powers a secret.
Brown played the role of Raven’s best friend Eddie, a lovable and loyal character who often provided comedic relief and helped Raven solve problems. In addition to his work on “That’s So Raven,” Brown has also appeared in several other television shows and films.
We hope that Orlando Brown continues to seek help and that his family find peace during this holiday season.

A noted train enthusiast, Walt Disney built his very first railroad in his backyard. The Carolwood Pacific Railroad, a 1/8-scale train, debuted in 1950 and featured a custom-built, steam-powered locomotive that encircled his property.
Delighted with his miniature backyard railroad, Walt decided to share his love of trains with the whole world. The result was the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad, a favorite of Guests since the park opened in 1955.
Guest can now ride the Walt Disney World Railroad Daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
Walt Disney World Railroad is Now Open at the Magic Kingdom!
We have some exciting news to share just in time for Christmas! After being closed since 2018 the Walt Disney World Railroad is now open in the Magic Kingdom!
Yesterday Disney announced that Walt Disney World Railroad would return with All-New Holiday Voiceovers and low and behold today the Railroad is now open to guests!
While no official announcement was made we happened to notice guests on the Walt Disney World Railroad around 1030am so we stopped by the Fantasyland Station to investigate. We thought it was just Cast Members riding the rails again for testing.
However, to our surprise, the Cast Members at the station notified us that the Trains were running once again! The Disney World Website now shows the Railroad open and Hours of Operation have been updated.
Since we boarded at the Fantasyland Station we were able to go through the Tron Lightcycle Tunnel and get a sneak peek inside the attraction!
Are you excited the Walt Disney World Railroad is Now Open in the Magic Kingdom? Are you racing over now to ride the rails once again after such a long absence?
Disney Genie+ Hits its Highest Price Point Once Again TODAY
The Holidays are in full swing at Walt Disney World! Today while dodging the crowds at the Magic Kingdom we checked the variable pricing for Disney Genie+ and noticed it was once again at its highest price point we have seen so far $29.
The last time we saw the $29 price point for Genie+ was during Thanksgiving Holiday Week.
Back in October, we received word from the Walt Disney Company that Genie + would change from $15.00 a day to a variable pricing structure, it would be based on how crowded the parks would be that day. So with the price at $29 if you are heading to the parks you can expect long wait times and BIG crowds.
As we move into Christmas Weekend it is possible that Disney Genie+ will go over $30 a day. Stay tuned to Chip and Company for more details.
Another Disney Attraction Bans Cell Phones in Walt Disney World. Recently we reported that Space Mountain now has signage during the queue informing guests that no loose articles or cell phones are allowed out during the ride. they must be stowed away. Now it appears this rule is being applied to other rides in the Magic Kingdom.
Although no signs are visible as of this writing we have many reports and some videos of Cast Members at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad reminding guests that no cell phones are allowed out during the ride and that they must be stowed away.
We are trying to verify if this new rule will be implemented on all coaster-type rides at Disney’s Magic Kingdom or all rides. There is good evidence that the new Tron Lightcycle/ Run coaster in Tomorrowland will have lockers, a first for Disney.
What does this mean for all those who like to record? Will Disney implement a policy like Universal or Seaworld has about secured recording, where you need to either have a GoPro strapped to your wrist or a chest-mounted strap?
The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness
Legend has it that soon after gold was first discovered here in the 1850s, eerie things began to happen. Trains would take off and race through tunnels—by themselves.
After you arrive at the legendary Big Thunder Mining Company, descend into an abandoned mine shaft and board your train. As you enter the cursed cavern, the engine speeds up along the rickety track. Dodge exploding dynamite and falling boulders as you swoop around turns, drop into canyons and dart through the mysterious ghost town of Tumbleweed.
Your rip-roaring adventure proves that some legends are true. You’re sure to have a real blast!
Check out some exciting products and new technologies Disney is working on for the future
Last Month The Walt Disney Company hosted its 2022 Disney Accelerator Demo Day on the Company’s historic Studio lot in Burbank Thursday, showcasing the six companies participating in this year’s Disney Accelerator program. The Demo Day presentation featured more than 15 senior executives from Disney in conversation with the founders of the select growth stage companies, as they discussed innovation and new technologies, and the impact they could have across the Company.
Demo Day is a celebration of the annual business development program designed to further the growth of leading-edge companies from around the world through collaboration with Disney’s executive and creative leadership teams.
Since launching the Accelerator in 2014, Disney has continued to collaborate with many of the Disney Accelerator participant companies to bring exciting products and new technologies to market.
“For nearly one hundred years, Disney has embraced cutting-edge technology to remain at the forefront of creative storytelling and deliver the most innovative entertainment experiences for audiences and guests around the world,” said Bonnie Rosen, general manager of the Disney Accelerator program. “This commitment to advancement is also an integral part of the Disney Accelerator, which allows us to collaborate with outstanding growth-stage companies like those in this year’s class that share our desire to redefine the media landscape. We hope that Demo Day is just the beginning of our relationship with these companies, and we can’t wait to see the amazing things we could build together for Disney fans.”
The companies in this year’s program focus on a range of technologies in areas such as augmented reality (AR), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and artificial intelligence (AI) virtual characters. The participants include:
Flickplay: Flickplay is a Web3 social app that enables users to discover digital collectibles tied to real-world locations that they can experience and share via AR. Flickplay is in conversations with Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing (CPGP) to create and deliver digital collectible activations within physical locations across the Unites States.
Inworld AI: Inworld allows users to create interactive, AI-driven characters for immersive experiences. During the presentation, Inworld announced that it is in conversations with ILMxLAB, Lucasfilm’s immersive storytelling studio, to build developer tools for creating characters at scale in immersive worlds. Additionally, Inworld is exploring the development of an AI personality for Disney Star’s DisneyStarverse platform. During Demo Day, Inworld demonstrated a “Droid Maker” prototype that the company created in collaboration with ILMxLAB.
Lockerverse: Lockerverse is a community platform that empowers creators and brands to tell culture-defining stories and deliver unique access and experiences. Lockerverse is working with ESPN to launch a free NFT of the Celebration Bowl Trophy, to be exclusively first offered at the Celebration Bowl on December 17 in Atlanta.
Obsess: Obsess is an experiential e-commerce platform that enables brands to create immersive 3D virtual stores on their websites and on Web3 platforms. In early October, Obsess launched the Disney Music Emporium virtual experience, an immersive online store celebrating the wonder of Disney music. Obsess is also in conversations with Disneyland Resort and shopDisney to create a special retail experience.
Polygon: Polygon is a business layer for blockchain technology that allows developers and enterprises to build Web3 experiences. Polygon is working with Disney on developing a proof of concept for exclusive digital collectibles to recognize Disney employees during special occasions.
Red 6: Red 6 is an AR company that has created a patented headset and interface that works outdoors in dynamic, high-performance environments. Walt Disney Imagineering and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) are exploring opportunities to bring this technology into Disney’s story-driven environments for next-generation experiences of the future.
“As a startup, it’s very difficult to reach the right people. Without this program, we would not be having the conversations we are having right now,” said Neha Singh, founder of Obsess. “It’s very focused on the collaboration with Disney teams and different divisions and startups, so it’s really perfect. Disney’s mission of storytelling, and our mission is, ‘How do we make brands tell their stories better?’ Brands have incredible stories, which today’s tools don’t allow them to really say. So, it’s a very natural fit for us to be working with a company that owns storytelling, essentially.”
Following the formal presentation, the Disney Accelerator brought Web3 to life on the Walt Disney Studios lot for attendees by showcasing exclusive demonstrations from the 2021 and 2022 Disney Accelerator companies, including life-sized versions of Disney’s most popular NFTs and a special Flickplay scavenger hunt that allowed attendees to find and interact with Disney digital collectibles.
For the first time, the previous year’s Disney Accelerator companies—who completed the program in an entirely virtual format—attended Demo Day and showcased their innovative technologies. These included startups with recent collaborations with The Walt Disney Company:
Attentive: Attentive is a comprehensive mobile messaging platform that allows retail and e-commerce brands to connect directly with consumers through personalized communication experiences. This summer, Attentive launched an opt-in experience to provide Disney guests a seamless opportunity to communicate with Disney Theatrical Productions via SMS and email through www.aladdinthemusical.com.
CAMP: CAMP creates experiential retail stores and online media destinations for the whole family. CAMP launched two collaborations with Disney this year, “Disney’s Mickey and Friends x CAMP: An Extra Big Adventure,” now in Dallas, while New York City families are enjoying the magical “Disney Encanto x CAMP” at its flagship store this holiday season. These immersive and interactive collaborations travel to other CAMP locations every few months.
Miko: Miko creates adorable robots that are playful learning companions for children, available across 140+ countries and utilized by parents, educators, and technologists. Earlier this year, Miko collaborated with Disney Publishing to launch animated storybooks featuring characters from the worlds of Disney and Pixar on its Miko 3 robot.
