Top 5 Disney Collections From 2022 That Fell Short!

Disney released wonderful Disney collections in 2022, unfortunately some of them were not as popular with Disney fans as it was expected. But that doesn’t mean they are not worth your money, they are definitely cute and unique! We picked 5 that we think definitely deserved more recognition in 2022, take a look:

HAUNTED MANSION COLLECTION

The haunted mansion merchandise is usually super popular but this collection was not a big hit with guests. The collection included apparel and even a pretty cool figure of the bride.

FIGARO AND CLEO DOONEY & BOURKE COLLECTION

Another collection that fell short with guests was the Figaro and Cleo Dooney & Bourke collection. The design is so cute and features characters from Pinocchio that we don’t get to see too often, so it was definitely a unique collection. Did you get any of these pieces?

DISNEY PRINCESS STONEY CLOVER COLLECTION

Stoney Clover is a popular brand between Disney fans, specially the fanny packs and duffles. In 2022, a Disney Princess collection was released featuring a quilted Disney Princess pattern and pastel colors, super cute! Unfortunately, the collection was not as popular as expected, but we still think it was adorable and worth adding to your collection!

PRINCESS JASMINE COLLECTION

Princess Jasmine got her own collection in 2022 that included Minnie ears, apparel and more! While some of these pieces were popular like the ear headband, but others were not. We still think there were some cute pieces for sure.

PRINCESS TIANA COLLECTION

Princess Tiana also got her own collection in 2022. The pieces were super cute and colorful, one of our favorite pieces were definitely the bags! It deserved more recognition for sure.

James Gunn says Disney Is not Interfering with New Guardians of the Galaxy Movie. Seems that James Gunn pays attention to fans on Twitter and will set the record straight when fan theories get a little out of hand.

Recently a fan responded to a simple Tweet by Mr. Gunn regarding a DC Comic post. In the response, a fan said “I just don’t trust DISNEY with Gotg 3. They gonna fk around and edit things, James.” James Gunn defended his editing team and Disney all at the same time, letting fans know Disney does not interfere with the process. Going on to say Disney would only interfere, or any movie studio will only interfere if things are not working out.

“No, they aren’t. They’ve never touched any of the Guardians’ movies. The movie’s almost finished being edited, is in great shape, and Fred and Greg (my editors) and I are the only ones editing anything.” James Gunn went on to say “Like at all the studios if the studio doesn’t like the movie, they interfere. If they do, they don’t. It’s pretty simple. I’ve never been forced into a change on any of my movies, including the Guardians films.”

In Marvel Studios “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” our beloved band of misfits is looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Wakanda Forever is now highest-grossing female-led superhero movie

Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther Wakanda Forever took on the challenging task of rebooting the Black Panther franchise amidst the tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman. Wakanda Forever ended what is Phase Four of the MCU and marked the 30th Marvel film.

In the film, Shuri and Queen Ramonda have the difficult task of moving the fictional nation of Wakanda forward following the death of their beloved T’Challa. As the nation mourns, its people are set upon by another global power and threatened with destruction.

The film was met with critical praise and box office success, totaling 429 million in global box office receipts, making it the highest-grossing female-led film super hero film of all time for the US box office. These numbers surpass the domestic totals of Captain Marvel ($426.8 million), Wonder Woman ($412.8 million) Black Widow ($183.6 million) and Birds of Prey ($84.1 million).

Director Ryan Coogler expressed thanks to the audience for the success of the film. He said, “Thank you to the people who bought their tickets early and camped out opening weekend. Thank you to those of you took their families out- young ones and elders in tow. To those who organized youth screenings and afterparties, who bought out theaters for communities and friends.

To all of you who watched multiple times, and encouraged other folks to check it out. Our film is over two and a half hours long, so thank you for holding those bathroom breaks. Our film has 6 languages spoken in it. Thank you for bearing with the subtitles. And our film deals with the inescapable human emotion of grief.

New Limited Edition Disney100 Goldfish Coming to a Grocery Store Near You!

A new limited edition Disney100 Goldfish will be coming to a grocery store near you very soon! 2023 is officially Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder Celebration and what better way to kick off the festivities but with a new Goldfish edition!

The Disney100 Goldfish were advertised on Target according to Instagrammer CandyHunting. Looking at the package the designs will include Donald, Woody, Minnie, Dory and Elsa.

This is not the first time Disney has partnered up for a limited edition Goldfish edition. I know at our house we have bought Mickey & Minnie, Star Wars, and various other Disney Editions of Goldfish over the years.

We are still waiting for the New Limited Edition Mickey Mouse Club Disney100 Cereal to hit the shelves any time now.

So keep an eye out next time you are at your local grocery store for the Disney100 Goldfish.

Gideon’s Bakehouse Artist Returns to the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. Art and foodie lovers, mark your calendars! The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts returns on Jan. 13 and runs through Feb. 20, 2023, at the Walt Disney World Resort. The festival is a global celebration of visual, culinary, and performing arts where guests can find inspiration and discover their own creativity in fun ways across the park.

Fans of Gideon’s bakehouse here at Disney Springs and at East End Marketplace all know the artistic style is original and fun. People love collecting the art on the menu cards each month, or the new trading cards. Now, you can meet the artist behind those images at the upcoming festival of the Arts 2023.

Greetings, passerby. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nathaniel Tarwater, and I’m what you might call an ambassador for Mr. Eyes’ appearance at this year’s Festival of the Arts. This year Michael will return to the Pop Gallery booth. The booth is in the same spot as last year, just past the China pavilion. Please see the map at the end of this post for a more detailed view of the location. Exact dates and times are posted there as well.

Now, onto more important issues. I am honored to announce that I will make my debut at the festival as a new original work and an event-exclusive print. This signed and numbered 11×14″ print is run on super heavy (1/16″ thick) stock in an edition of 250 pieces. Also making a print debut is Narfino Necropolis, who many of you may know as “Cousin Narfi.” Narfi is an 8×10, signed print, on the same heavy stock. Aside from myself and Narfi, there will be several new originals, pins, prints, and perhaps a surprise or two. Michael also wanted me to tell you that there will also be goodies for those who are kind enough to visit him during the festival. Something about stickers or buttons, or something of that sort. I guess you’ll have to find out by visiting, no?

Dwayne Johnson In Advanced Talks With Marvel

While the DCEU may no longer like what the Rock is cooking, reports from sources say that Kevin Feige is interested in the Rock joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Giant Freakin Robot cites “trusted and proven sources” that say Dwayne Johnson is in advanced talks with Marvel Studios to enter their universe of films in a future project.

Recently the DCEU shelved a future Black Adam project as James Gunn and creatives look to reboot the entire universe with new actors and projects. Reports of Johnson’s desire to join Marvel are not a new development. Ten years ago, Johnson and Feige traded very public comments surrounding Johnson’s inclusion in the MCU, which never came to fruition.

Feige said of Johnson in a 2013 interview with Collider: “I’m a gigantic fan of [Dwayne Johnson], I think he’s an incredible- He’s awesome in Pain & Gain, he was great in G.I. Joe, he’s really kind of an amazing human being-I would love him to be part of the Marvel universe somewhere, someday.”

Johnson responded to Feige via his twitter, expressing interest in teaming up saying, Thank you @Marvel President Kevin Feige for the nod, I’ll be ready #rockascage #heroforhire. Dwayne Johnson posted a picture of himself alongside a drawing of the character Luke Cage.

Fans of Luke Cage know that Mike Coulter would play the role on the Netflix series. However, the reboot of the defenders shows that have come back to Marvel present an opportunity once again for Dwayne Johnson to fill his dream role of Luke Cage. As of now, Daredevil: Born again looks to reboot the defenders and actor Charlie Cox has suggested that the series could be a hard reboot for the heroes. Sounds like a fantastic opportunity for Johnson to join the fray in the Marvel universe once more.

Johnson is no stranger to working with Disney and has appeared in several iconic roles throughout his career. Dwayne Johnson portrayed Joe Kingman in the 2007 comedy film, The Game Plan and Jack Bruno in the 2009’s Race to Witch Mountain. Johnson voiced Maui in the 2016 animated film Moana and played Frank Wolff in Jungle Cruise.

Phases 5 and Six are wide open in the MCU, and there is lots of opportunity for Johnson to appear somewhere as an iconic hero or villain. With the Multiverse opening and variants of heroes emerging constantly, could we see the Rock recast as a hero we’ve already seen? Only time will tell. Marvel’s Jeremy Renner in Critical but Stable Condition After a Snow-Plowing Accident

Marvel Actor Jeremy Renner was injured while plowing snow on Sunday, leaving him in “critical but stable condition,” according to his publicist.

“As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” the publicist, Samantha Mast, said. “His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

Renner, 51, was airlifted to a local hospital from the site of the incident in Reno, Nevada.

“At approximately 9 a.m. on January 1st, 2023, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traumatic injury in the area of Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said they were investigating what had happened.

Renner owns a ranch above Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The region that was recently hit by a winter storm on New Year’s Eve that saw 35,000 homes lose power.

No other details have been released at this time.

Artist Appearance Schedule Revealed for 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is returning to Disney World on January 13. Recently, the artist appearance schedule was revealed. Multiple artists will be available during the 5 week festival.

Artists can be seen throughout the day in multiple locations. You’ll find them in Future World and in the pavilions around World Showcase. You can find the full schedule here.
