Construction Walls are Down in EPCOT Near Guest Relations. Kinda. The hard green walls that have been up since the construction of Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind have been removed and replaced with soft green meshing. This means that the work on the walkway and landscaping is almost complete and we should see this walkway reopen soon.
The walkway makes it quicker and easier to get to the World Discovery neighborhood, alleviating the walk up to Creation Shop and making the left. You can see the hard walls that use to be up in the image below. Compared to the new green mesh.

Photos: Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt
Figment’s Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt has returned to Epcot for the Epcot International Festival of the Arts! Guests can purchase a scavenger hunt map for $9.99 (plus tax) and hunt for special artwork throughout World Showcase.
Each of the 11 countries has a painting with Figment hidden (or not so hidden) in it. Once the scavenger hunt is completed, guests can receive a prize!
The map is in the shape of a painter’s palette. The front shows World Showcase and each country has an empty frame. On the back are stickers of famous paintings. As you see these reimagined paintings throughout World Showcase, you place the sticker on the corresponding country.
Some of the paintings can be harder to find than others. While some can be easily seen in shop windows, others require you to go into the stores to find them.
Figment’s Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt is a lot of fun for the whole family! Once you complete the hunt, you can get a prize! This year the prizes are figurines you can paint yourself. There are 4 different characters for you to choose from; Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Figment.
What do you think? Is this a scavenger hunt you’d like to participate in?

One hundred black students and teens from across the country have been chosen to be a part of this year’s Dreamers Academy. Among those students, a budding artist, an aspiring neurosurgeon, and a creative storyteller are among the group of young people on their way to this annual event, aimed at broadening career awareness and creating exclusive opportunities for underrepresented communities across America.
This event will take place at Walt Disney World Resort March 23-26 and will be the Dreamer Academy’s 16th annual event.
Mickey Mouse, Disney executives, and international recording star Kelly Rowland surprised one of the students with the news of her selection live on national TV from her school in Newark, N. J. Afterwards, the names of the entire Class of 2023 were displayed on a Times Square billboard.
Kelly Rowland is a four-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, actress, and television executive producer, served last year as the program’s ambassador and as an advocate for the students. She shared personal insights, drawing from her own unique experience as a pre-teen performer, then as a teenager in one of the best-selling female groups of all time, Destiny’s Child.
“We’re ready to welcome another outstanding group of teens from across the country for our 16th year!” said Tracey Powell, Disney Signature Experiences vice president, and Disney Dreamers Academy executive champion. “They are going to have the experience of a lifetime, setting them on a journey to go out and achieve their dreams, just like the classes who came before them.”
The program which has been around since 2008 has honored over 1,500 students across the country since its inception with the goal of inspiring and encouraging them in their goals to pursue their dreams.
Disney Dreamers are selected from thousands of applicants who answer essay questions about their personal stories and dreams for the future. The students and a parent or guardian enjoy an all-expenses paid trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida for the four-day event.
Once students arrive they get to experience immersive, career-oriented workshops that explore a wide range of career disciplines while also learning essential skills, such as effective communication techniques, leadership, and networking strategies.
What a huge excitement these young students must feel after getting chosen for such an amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I think it’s so important to encourage young people to reach for the stars. The lessons and experiences they experience at the Dreamers Academy will have a huge impact on them I am sure.

Applications are closed for this year but you can keep your eyes peeled on their website for open applications for the 2024 submissions sometime in the fall. Do you know any young goal-oriented students that would be perfect for this program?

Phineas and Ferb and the others like Dr. Doofensmirtz, Baljeet, Buford, Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, and the boys’ sister Candace will be coming back with new summer hijinx.
Hey, where’s Perry? of course we can’t forget the green secret agent platypus. Are you excited about the show’s return? I am sure you can tell we are huge fans and we are delighted by this news today.
Check out the announcement below from both Disney + and Dan.
Dan Povenmire, co-creator and executive producer of the global super-hit “Phineas and Ferb,” has entered into a new overall deal with Disney Branded Television which includes production of 40 all-new episodes of “Phineas and Ferb,” a second season renewal of the animated superhero series “Hamster & Gretel” and the development of live-action projects.
“Phineas and Ferb” is a five-time Emmy Award-winner and the most successful animated series for Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 in Disney Television Animation history. Since its premiere, “Hamster & Gretel” ties as the #1 cable series among Kids age 6-11 delivery.
The announcement was made today during a presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour by Ayo Davis, president, of Disney Branded Television.
Davis said, ” Dan is renowned for his ability to create universally beloved stories and characters with both heart and humor,” said Davis. “We couldn’t be happier to continue our collaboration with him and bring back the iconic ‘Phineas and Ferb’ in a big way.”
Meredith Roberts, executive vice president, Animation, at Disney Branded Television, added, “Dan is a true mastermind, and his brilliant brand of storytelling has always been infused with a kind-spirited and optimistic sense of humor which continues to strike a perfect chord with audiences the world over. Povenmire said, “It has been the greatest pleasure of my career to see how an entire generation of kids and parents have embraced the characters and the humor of ‘Phineas and Ferb.’ I’m eagerly looking forward to diving back into the show for them and for a whole new generation.”
Povenmire created and executive-produced the Disney+ animated adventure movie “Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe” for which he also was supervising director, and Disney Channel’s animated series “Milo Murphy’s Law,” which earned three Emmy Award nominations. His most recent creation, the animated series Disney’s “Hamster & Gretel,” will receive a second season order, and he will continue as its executive producer.
Over his career, his series has received 14 Emmy Award nominations in multiple categories, including Voiceover and Songwriting. “Phineas and Ferb” account for 10 of those nominations and five Emmy Award wins and has been critically acclaimed as a program the whole family can laugh at, one that applauds inventiveness and resourcefulness and offers up clever music and lyrics.
Known for fully celebrating the art form of animation and its visual, energetic, and physical storytelling, “Phineas and Ferb” was Disney Television Animation’s first “creator-driven” animated series. Throughout its production run, Povenmire’s original vision remained intact and faithfully interpreted through his and his creative partner Jeff “Swampy” Marsh’s creative minds.
Povenmire wrote and co-wrote some 500 songs for “Phineas and Ferb,” “Milo Murphy’s Law” and “Hamster & Gretel,” many of which have become Gen Z favorites and continue to trend on TikTok and other social media platforms where he has built a worldwide fan base, known for also providing the voice of the popular “Phineas and Ferb” character Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz.
“Phineas and Ferb” depicts two resourceful stepbrothers who conquer boredom and make every day of summer vacation count, often to the chagrin of their sister Candace. It premiered officially in January 2008 and became television’s #1 animated TV series of 2009 among Tweens 9-14 and built to #1 among both Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 for 2011, along with the franchise’s first of two television movies it inspired, “Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension,” ranking in TV’s Top 2 movies for 2011. The series was a global franchise for Disney, a first for a Disney Channel animated property for older kids. By 2012, its popularity burgeoned with a live touring show and junior novels, with extensions across every consumer products category, including apparel, toys, video games, food, health and beauty.
With over 25 years of experience in directing, storyboarding and writing, Povenmire has worked on multiple critically acclaimed animated series, including “Family Guy,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “The Simpsons,” “Rocko’s Modern Life” and “Hey Arnold!”

You can take a closer look at this backpack in our Instagram post:
If you look inside the guide map you will see just a yellow orb where the Play Pavilion was expected to be in the old Wonders of Life building.
PLAY! Pavilion at EPCOT’s World Discovery, which was originally scheduled set to open in 2021. However, it was delayed to 2022, as part of the park’s 40th-anniversary celebration then it was put on the back burner back when they announced that the Mary Poppins Attraction was put on hold for now.
I guess EPCOT doesn’t know what they plan on doing with the old Wonders of Life Building. If you ask me they need to turn it into a Festival Center again for the various Festivals in EPCOT. I miss when you could see various celebrities, do special tastings, and even pick up Festival related Merchandise.
What do you think about Play Pavilion Missing from New EPCOT Guide Maps? Do you think they are ever going to do anything with that area?
