Daily Housekeeping Returning to Walt Disney World Resort Deluxe Hotels

Guests staying at Deluxe resorts at Disney World can once again experience daily housekeeping! This service has been limited since the parks reopened post-Covid.

A few select Deluxe resorts had already reinstated full daily housekeeping services, but now all Deluxe resorts will have it again. The service was reinstated yesterday, January 15, 2023.

Moderate and Value resorts will continue to receive housekeeping every other day. DVC members staying at a DVC resort will continue to receive housekeeping based on their length of stay.

Full daily housekeeping includes:

Making the bed
Replacing towels & amenities
Cleaning the bathroom
Emptying the trash
Tidying the room (dusting, vacuuming, wiping counters…etc)

Guests can choose to decline housekeeping services if they wish.

Showtimes Announced for Magic Happens Parade Return in Disneyland

The Magic Happens Parade is returning to Disneyland! The parade will return on February 24, 2023, just in time for its 3rd birthday. It originally debuted in 2020 but was only seen a few times before the Covid closure.

When the parade returns to Disneyland it will be performed twice each day. Once at 3:30 pm and once at 6:30 pm.

“As part of the Disney100 Celebration at Disneyland Resort, celebrate the return of this unforgettable spectacle that reminds us you don’t need wings to fly, shooting stars are for wishes and magic doesn’t end at midnight!

With a wave of his wand, Mickey Mouse leads a cavalcade of fabulous floats, whimsically costumed performers and popular Disney pals around the park and into your hearts—all while moving to a high-energy contemporary musical score that puts a spin on classic Disney hits. In addition, a stirring song co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall brings some of your favorite Disney tales to life like never before.

Watch Moana ride the crest of a beautiful wave in her voyager canoe, followed by Coco’s guitar-strumming Miguel joined by his dog Danté and other fantastical spirit animals and behold the enchanted forest from Frozen 2 as Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven pass by. The parade’s grand finale commemorates memorable moments from Disney classics in an incredible procession that’s not to be missed!”

Figment-themed Liege Waffle Spotted at Connections Cafe in EPCOT. With over 50 new snacks and treats, drinks, and more, Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts 2023 is shaping up to be an interesting taste around our imagination.

This year, the chefs and mixologists have crafted works of art for you to indulge in. With nearly 15 Food Studios, there are plenty of returning favorites, like the classic Wild Mushroom Risotto, as well as new treats premiering on the foodie stage, like the Hummingbird Cake from The Artist’s Table.

As you eat your way around the World Showcase, be sure to pick up a Festival Passport to take part in the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, a returning food stroll featuring culinary delights. We got a chance to savor the newest creations at Connections Cafe and Eatery. Of course, our favorite imaginary Dragon, Figment, is the star of the show. So the new Liege waffle is a tribute to him, with purple and pink sprinkles surrounding a liege waffle, served with a chocolate medallion on top.

Video: Figment Beacon of Magic Show Now Showing in EPCOT. Epcot’s Festival of the Arts 2023 could just be called A Tribute to the Original Journey Into Imagination with Dreamfinder and Figment. With the new Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey: Art, Food and Little Sparks of Magic pavilion, and now the new Spaceship Earth Beacon of Magic show.

The new dazzling display of lights and sound on Spaceship Earth is a musical throwback to the original soundtrack. The new show starts off with the lyrics, Mix red and gold, From autumn flowers, Purple and blue From twilight hours, Green summer hills, And rainbows play a part, ha, ha, A painter’s brush, ha, A work of art and we are off!

If you are too young to remember the original ride and attraction, those lyrics come from a scene where Dreamfinder has a paintbrush that changes colors as he paints a large flower, river, and animal-filled painting.

The show continues with the One Little Spark song playing, and Figment and Dreamfinder singing together the classic song. Spaceship Earth is lit up in gold and red, then switches to Rainbow color hues as the song progresses. It is probably the best show that the Walt Disney Imagineering team has done.

Adam Driver Rumored to play Reed Richards in Fantastic Four Reboot

There is a rumor generating traction that Adam Driver has become the front-runner for the role of Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four MCU reboot. Marvel currently has the film scheduled for 2024, but many of the details surrounding the forthcoming film are still shrouded in mystery.

Since the project was announced, we have seen many names suggested for the role, and fans were given the dream casting so many suggested when John Krasinski played a variant of Reed in the film ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’

Rumors surrounding Driver as Mr. Fantastic heated up during the fall, and now Movieweb is even suggesting that Driver is the frontrunner for the part. Movieweb cited The Direct in speculating that Driver was Marvel’s Top Casting choice for the role.

We should stress that these are only rumors, and multiple names have been linked with the role over the last year. Stars like Diego Luna (The Last of Us) and Elvis’ Austin Butler have also surfaced online in recent months. They have yet to be confirmed. Krasinski told The Wrap last month that “There aren’t any discussions at all” at him returning to the role.

Adam Driver is best known for his role as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, as well as his roles in the films Inside Llewyn Davis and Paterson, and the HBO series Girls. He has also received critical acclaim for his performances on Broadway, including in the play “Angels in America.” In addition to his acting career, he is also a founding member of the Arts in the Armed Forces organization, which performs plays for military personnel.

Salted Caramel Soft-Serve Ice Cream at Refreshment Outpost in EPCOT

Refreshment Outpost in Epcot has one of the best ice cream treats I’ve ever had! The Salted Caramel soft-serve ice cream was amazing!

This delicious refreshing treat is located at Refreshment Outpost between the China Pavilion and the Germany Pavilion. We weren’t able to find the Salted Caramel soft-serve on the menu in My Disney Experience but when we asked for it, they confirmed that it is available, and it is listed on the physical menu at the dining location.

While the ice cream is available, it is advertised as being served in a waffle cone for $6. We were given the ice cream in a cup. The ice cream is rich and creamy and everything you’d think for a salted caramel flavor. It is definitely worth adding to your “must-try” list at Epcot.

Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom Refurbishment to Begin on January 15th

The Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom closed today to undergo a refurbishment. The icon of Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be getting a new paint job. There’s no set date for when this refurbishment will be completed.

While the tree is being repainted, guests may see some scaffolding and other structures related to the job. Some of the walking trails around the Tree of Life might also be temporarily closed to guests. However, most of the painting is likely to happen at night after the park is closed.

The Disney World website describes the Tree of Life as:

“The Tree of Life honors animals and the place they all share in the great Circle of Life.

At 145 feet tall, the massive tree towers over the land. Marvel at its gnarled roots and outstretched branches, then step closer to see the shapes of over 300 animals carved into the tree.

It’s an epic visual symbol of the diversity, beauty and interconnected nature of Earth’s creatures.”

Henna Tattoo Station Returns to the Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT

The Henna tattoo station has returned to the Morocco Pavilion in Epcot! Guests visiting the park can get a traditional Henna tattoo.

The Henna tattoo art is done next to Lamps of Wonder in the Morocco Pavilion. That’s where Jasmine (and sometimes Aladdin) has her meet and greet.

A metal stand displays the different Henna tattoo options and the prices. The designs are $25 and $35. Once you choose your design, an artist will begin to transform your hand into a beautiful work of art.

The traditional art of Henna dates back thousands of years. In Moroccan culture, women use Henna tattoos to beautify their hands and feet for special occasions, as a symbol of good luck, and to bring joy. Henna tattoos are temporary and can last 1-4 weeks.

Harrison Ford Red Hulk Series Reportedly In Development

Harrison Ford is diving into the MCU in a big way. He has already taken over the role of Thaddeus Ross, formerly played by William Hurt. Reports have surfaced that Harrison Ford will lead a new Red Hulk production for Disney+.

The transformation of Thaddeus Ross to Red Hulk will reportedly happen in the upcoming Captain America and the New World Order. While Marvel has not yet green-lit the speculative project, these rumors certainly make sense to complete the character arc of Thaddeus Ross.

Ford has become a mainstay in television lately, and a Harrison Ford Red Hulk show would be his third television project. Ford plays Jacob Dutton in the Yellowstone prequel 1923 and will star in the upcoming AppleTV+ show ‘Shrinking’.

Ford will appear as Indian Jones for one more adventure on June 30, 2023 in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. You can catch the trailer for the emotional blockbuster film now on YouTube.

We should reiterate that this is just a casting rumor, and no plans to release a Harrison Ford Red Hulk show have been made as of yet. Marvel has not even announced ‘Red Hulk’ as part of their upcoming slate of shows or films in Phase 5 or 6. Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Debuts Next Week

A new trailer for the upcoming season of the Mandalorian is set to premiere next week. For fans who cannot wait for the forthcoming season to release on March 1, you can get a sneak peek during ESPN’s broadcast of The Cowboys vs. The Buccaneers.

The game will air on ESPN and various networks 8PM EST on Monday, January 16, 2023. Season 3 of the Mandalorian was originally set to premier in February but was moved to March 1. This is not the first time that a Star Wars series has changed its premier date. Obi-Wan Kenobi featuring Ewan McGregor also pushed its initial release date and to compensate dropped multiple episodes on its new premier date. It’s unlikely that Mandalorian will follow suit by releasing multiple episode when season 3 arrives.

The storyline for season 3 has yet to be released but will likely follow Mando as he journeys to Mandalore to reclaim his honor amongst the Mandalorian sect. The Book of Boba Fett helped set up the story by including both Mando and Baby Grogu in what fans called the Mandalorian season 2.5.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have their hands full planning future Mandalorian Spinoff series in addition to the already planned Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew. As of now, Rangers of the New Republic has been shelved. A teaser trailer for Season 3 has already been released and can be seen on YouTube.
