Imagineers shared a behind-the-scenes look at a blue-sky concept that lets fans have a real-time conversation with pixie-sized Tinker Bell. Using special technology, Tinker Bell can interact with you like never before. This is the latest innovation that brings Disney characters, both big and small, to life in new ways.
A similar Tinker Bell meet & greet was tested in Disney California Adventure a couple of years ago. A life-size tiny Tinker Bell seemed to appear in her lantern and then fly around the room. She landed in a device of her own invention that allowed her voice to be amplified so the guests could hear her. She was fully interactive and addressed the guests by name. Many other projections were seen, including “writing” in a book and butterflies flying around the room.

New robot tech introduced at SXSW can be a game changer for character meet-and-greets.
Disney Imagineers have done it again. New robot tech was introduced at the 2023 South By Southwest (SXSW) conference that has the potential to bring some of our favorite characters to life in a whole new way.
In the Twitter video above, posted by TechCrunch Editor-In-Chief Matthew Panzarino, you can see the robot on rollerblades with some very impressive moves, including the ability to sit up, roll over, and navigate around the stage on the rollerblades.

The Hulk was also on hand at SXSW to demonstrate his all-new meet-and-greet suit. The new suit, featuring a unique exoskeleton developed by Disney Imagineers, will be welcoming guests at Avengers Campus in Disneyland Paris soon.
SXSW is an annual conference that focuses on cutting-edge advances in tech, music, film, and culture. The conference is held annually in Austin, Texas.

The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic Returns in 2023
The popular, annual festival, the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic returns Friday, Nov. 10th, and Saturday, Nov. 11th in 2023. Tickets for this fan-favorite event are on sale now at www.FoodandWineClassic.com.
The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic treats guests to a street party festival with unlimited tastings of culinary selections from the hotel’s award-winning restaurants, including its newest restaurant, Rosa Mexicano, set to open this spring. Impressions de France Returning to Normal Operations Starting today!
Earlier this week we reported the news that Impressions de France would be scaling back on operations, however today we are excited to share that the fan-favorite EPCOT show would be returning to normal operations.
Guests can now watch “Impressions de France” at the France Pavilion in EPCOT between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in the morning (or 8:30 a.m. for guests with early entry), as well as between 7:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. at night.
The Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along is also shown at Palais du Cinema in the France Pavilion, with showtimes from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Beetlejuice 2 Sequel Reportedly in the Works with Original Cast. At a masterclass on Friday, Burton had suggested that he had no plans to get involved in a reboot of his 1988 cult classic Beetlejuice. Plan B confirmed to Deadline in February that it was developing Beetlejuice 2.
Burton backtracked on this on Saturday after being quizzed for clarification on whether he would be involved or not, saying “nothing is out of the question.”
Asked about Beetlejuice 2 in an October interview, Burton told Deadline that “nothing is out of the question.”
“I only know if I’m making a film when I’m actually on the set shooting,” Burton teased of the sequel to his 1988 cult classic that also starred Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis. “I try to go back to the root of everything. It springs from a seed and then it grows, rather than out of these statements. I am working on ideas and things but it’s all very early days. We’ll set how it goes. How’s that for a none answer?”
A sequel has been in various stages of development since 1990. In 2013, Ryder told The Daily Beast the long-rumored sequel — set decades after the original in real time — “sounds like it might be happening.”
“It’s not a remake. It’s 27 years later,” Ryder said at the time. “And I have to say, I love Lydia [Deetz] so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later.”
Ryder added she would not return for Beetlejuice2 without Burton and Keaton, whose pre-Batman collaboration grossed nearly $75 million against a budget of $15 million. “I would never go near [a sequel] if it was not Tim and Michael,” she said. “Because those guys, I love.”

The nighttime spectacular Cinematic Celebration has officially been retired at Universal Orlando Resort
Sad news fellow Nighttime Spectacular fans, Click Orlando reports Universal Orlando Resort has officially pulled the plug on the Cinematic Celebration nighttime spectacular.
The show, which premiered in 2018, brings famous Universal attractions and movies to life, including Jurrasic Park and Illumination’s Despicable Me. The show features a mix of projections, water effects, sound effects, pyrotechnics, and lighting.
While Universal did relate the show will be replaced by a new show in the future, no details about the new show or a potential premiere date have been announced.

The Mandalorian showrunner shares his thoughts on a ride inspired by Mando and Grogu.
Jon Favreau has become a legend recently among Marvel and Star Wars fans. As the showrunner for The Mandalorian, the Executive Producer of The Book of Boba Fett, and Executive Producer of both Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War, it takes no stretch of the imagination to see that Favreau really knows how to bring these characters to life.
Given his creative expertise, both fans and Disney execs should listen closely to ideas Favreau shares about the IP’s he so meticulously curates, such as an idea for a Disney Parks ride inspired by The Mandalorian he recently shared in an interview with IMDB. Considering Mando and Grogu are currently greeting guests in Star Wars: Galaxies Edge, an attraction featuring the duo seems like a logical next step.
When asked if he has ever thought about what a Mandalorian Ride would look like at a Disney park, Favreau responded the ride would “probably be in the Razor Crest” and would be ” very immersive.” Favreau added the on-set special effects they use on the Mandalorian set would lend themselves well to a Disney Parks attraction, and using them would allow the attraction to double as both a ride and a behind-the-scenes look at how these effects are utilized on sets.
