Disney World Adjusting Theme Park Hours in Late April & May

Walt Disney World is adjusting theme park hours at three of the parks in late April and early May. All parks except for Epcot have had their operating hours adjusted.

Magic Kingdom

From April 30 to May 6 Magic Kingdom will be open an hour later than previously scheduled. The new park hours are now 9 am to 11 pm. On May 3 the park will have Extended Evening Hours for guests staying at Deluxe Resorts. Those hours are now 11 pm to 1 am.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the park will be open 30 minutes later than previously scheduled April 30 to May 2. The new park hours are 8:30 am to 9:30 pm. From May 3 to May 6, the park will be open from 8:30 am to 10 pm.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Park hours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are a little different. On April 30 and May 6 the park will be open from 8 am to 8 pm. May 1-5 the park will be open from 8 am to 7 pm.

Disney Shares first look of the ALL-NEW “Disney Harmony in Color” Parade

A new daytime parade has debuted at Tokyo Disney for its 40th anniversary celebration. The “Disney Harmony in Color” parade features seven units with floats honoring “Zootopia,” “Up,” “Moana,” “Coco,” “Big Hero 6,” and more.

The Tokyo Disney Resort website describes the parade as:

“Themed to a “harmonious world of colors,” the parade showcases themes of adventure, courage, family bonds and friendship through various stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios, as well as Disney and Pixar, films.
The finale features a magnificent float that will take guests on a journey to a harmonious world of vibrant colors that is filled with dreams.
Mickey Mouse and his Disney friends, including those from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia, as well as Disney and Pixar’s Coco, will also make an appearance.”

Disney Parks shared on Facebook that this is the first new daytime parade in five years at Toyko Disneyland. The parade is also the resort’s debut of some fan-favorite characters such as Vanellope and Ralph from “Wreck it Ralph” and Wasabi, Fred, Honey Lemon and GoGo from “Big Hero 6.”

Minnie Mouse Will be on the Front of the New Disney Treasure

Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, the Disney Treasure, will feature Minnie Mouse on the front! The new ship is set to debut in 2024.

Disney Parks shared a video on Instagram featuring Captain Minnie Mouse on an adventure searching for lost treasure. The treasure is a coin featuring Minnie herself which also ends up being the detail on the front of the new ship.

Live Action Lilo & Stitch Casts Nani, Lilo’s Sister

Casting of Nani has been announced for the upcoming live-action Lilo & Stich

The role of Nani in the upcoming live-action Lilo & Stitch has been announced. According to reporting from The Hollywood Reporter, the role of Nani will be played by Sydney Elizabeth Agudong.

Agudong will work opposite Maia Kealoha, who has been cast to play Lilo. Fans may recognize Agudong, who was born and raised on the island of Kaua’i, Hawai’i, from previous work that includes the 2022 T.V. movie Infamously in Love and a 2023 episode of NCIS.

The live-action Lilo & Stitch is currently scheduled to be released on Disney + in May 2024. Additional actors that have been confirmed for the movie, which is being directed by Dean Fleischer Camp , include Billy Magnussen and Zach Galifianakis. The film is being produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Ryan Halprin serving as executive producer.

Removal of the Harmonious barges from the World Showcase Lagoon has reached another milestone. New images posted on Twitter by Bioreconstruct show one barge, removed from World Showcase Lagoon earlier this month, has been fully deconstructed backstage.

The image breaks down the various parts of the ‘taco’ barge: the base, the sides, the arms, and the platforms. The remaining barges, which are still in World Showcase Lagoon, are expected to be brought backstage for deconstruction over the next month.

Weekend Bonus Reservations Show Up for Annual Passholder. Before you visit a park, you must have valid admission and a theme park reservation. You can modify theme park reservation dates, theme park, and party members.

For the next six weekends, Disney has added Bonus reservations to the Annual Passholder reservation system. The majority of the reservations are for Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Beginning on April 18, 2023, Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to visit the theme parks at 2 PM without having to make a park reservation except on Saturdays and Sundays at the Magic Kingdom

Max Announces NEW Big Bang Theory Spinoff in Development

Fans of the Big Bang Theory it looks like a NEW spinoff series has been ordered for HBO Max!

Max and executive producer Chuck Lorre are developing a new comedy series derived from “The Big Bang Theory.” The project is in the works at Warner Bros. Television, where Lorre is under an overall deal.

Plot details are currently under wraps. Lorre will executive produce via Chuck Lorre Productions. The new show would be the second collaboration between Max, Lorre, and WBTV. Lorre and Nick Bakay are currently in production on the new Max Original comedy series “How to Be a Bookie,” starring Sebastian Maniscalco.

This would mark the second series derived from the world of “The Big Bang Theory,” following the prequel “Young Sheldon,” which begins with Iain Armitage starring as “The Big Bang Theory” character Sheldon Cooper as a nine-year-old, living with his family in East Texas and going to high school. “Young Sheldon” is in its sixth season on CBS and ranks as the #1 comedy on TV among Total Viewers.

All episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” and the first five seasons of “Young Sheldon” are available to stream on Max in the U.S.

“The Big Bang Theory” debuted in 2007 and was the number-one comedy in the world when it concluded its successful 12-season run in 2019 as the longest-running multi-camera series in television history, with 279 episodes. The series won ten Emmy^® Awards and received 55 Emmy^® nominations. Additionally, “The Big Bang Theory” won a Critics Choice TV Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and The Humanitas Prize.

In 2015, The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation created “The Big Bang Theory” Scholarship Endowment at UCLA, which supports undergraduate students in need of financial aid who are pursuing their higher education in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). In 2019, “The Big Bang Theory” Graduate School Fund was created to provide four-year scholarships for “Big Bang” UCLA scholars who continue their STEM education in graduate school within the University of California system.
