Disney Begins Dismantling Harmonious Barges in EPCOT. The end of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary means a lot of changes are happening around the Parks right now. One of the biggest changes is going on at the World Showcase Lagoon with the removal of the Harmonious water tacos and Stargate.
Harmonious ran from October 1st, 2021 until April 2nd, 2023. The show incorporated fireworks, lasers, projections, and large video screens located in the center of the lagoon. These large screens and water fountains caused debate amongst Disney fans with a majority not enjoying these large screens. Most say the water tacos ruined the view in the World Showcase.
Now that the show is over, crews are working hard at removing these water features and clearing out the lagoon. Crews will be dismantling them over the next few weeks.
A new nighttime spectacular will be coming sometime in 2023, but for now, guests enjoying the nighttime in Epcot can enjoy Epcot Forever. Celebrate the past, present, and future of EPCOT with this limited-time fireworks and special-effects spectacular.
