Voices of Liberty as Dickens Carolers to Bring Back Beloved “Echo Set” for Christmas Eve

For the first time since 2019, a breathtaking holiday tradition is returning to EPCOT’s American Adventure pavilion.

According to a social media update from performer Ian Patrick Gibb, the Voices of Liberty are scheduled to perform a special “Holiday Echo Set” on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025.

What is an Echo Set? For those who haven’t experienced it, an “Echo Set” is a unique and powerful arrangement where additional performers join the core group. While the main ensemble sings from the rotunda floor, other vocalists sing from the second-floor balcony above. This creates an immersive, surround-sound choral experience that takes advantage of the pavilion’s incredible acoustics.

While the group typically performs echo sets for patriotic holidays like the 4th of July and Veterans Day, this marks the first time in six years that the holiday version of this special performance will be heard in the park.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto has officially added a digital walk-up waitlist to the My Disney Experience app, making it easier to score a seat inside one of Walt Disney World’s most popular and notoriously hard-to-get-into lounges.

Instead of lining up in person and hoping your name gets called, guests can now join the walk-up waitlist directly from the My Disney Experience app. There is one important catch though, you must be physically at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to join the list. A few things to know before you start tapping refresh like it is a limited edition tiki mug release. OSHA Fines Universal Orlando After Epic Universe Employee Suffers Severe Electrical Shock and Fractures

OSHA Fines Universal After Epic Universe Employee Injured on Harry Potter Ride

Federal safety regulators have issued a fine to Universal Orlando Resort following a serious workplace injury at Epic Universe, involving the Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry attraction. According to records from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, a Universal employee suffered a severe electrical shock during routine maintenance on April 24, 2025, just weeks before the park’s official grand opening on May 22 and while guest previews were already underway.

Acccording to reporting by Florida Politics, the incident occurred at approximately 7:22 a.m., before the park opened for the day. OSHA reports state the employee came into contact with a 480-volt busbar, a high-powered electrical component used to distribute electricity to the ride vehicles. The busbar was not locked out as required under safety procedures, leading to the shock. The employee was transported to Orlando Health in downtown Orlando and treated for a dislocated shoulder, fractured arm, and multiple broken ribs. OSHA’s report did not include any updates on the employee’s recovery.

The ride vehicle is typically locked out in three separate locations during maintenance, and the electrical circuit powering the busbar is normally de-energized. In this case, those steps were not fully followed. OSHA initially proposed a $16,550 penalty, which was later reduced to $11,585 following an informal settlement with Universal. The agency’s site visit found no unusual circumstances such as employer resistance or abatement issues. Universal Orlando did not provide a public comment regarding the incident.

Walt Disney Imagineering just filed a brand-new Notice of Commencement tied to Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it is another big green light that the Muppets makeover is officially rolling full speed ahead. The permit lists the scope of work as “Install Set Elements,” signaling that physical changes are now actively happening inside the attraction as it prepares to transform into Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Pre Show Closure Hints at Start of Muppets Takeover

This latest filing comes as the pre-show area has already been closed off, strongly suggesting that this portion of the ride is first in line for its Muppet-fied glow-up. The pre-show is expected to receive extensive updates, including an all-new set and Muppet Audio-Animatronics, with Scooter already confirmed as part of the experience.

The permit is assigned to Mecca Productions, a contractor well known around Walt Disney World. Mecca has recently worked on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and is currently involved with the Indiana Jones reimagining of DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, adding even more weight to the idea that substantial work is underway.

Disney has confirmed that Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will officially close on March 2, 2026, with March 1 being the final day to ride. The new Muppets version is scheduled to open in summer 2026, leaving Imagineering with a fairly tight construction timeline to pull off this fast and funny transformation.
