The 2026 season kicks off Sunday, July 19, during the 8 a.m. ET hour of SportsCenter, with a new story airing each morning through July 23. Featured athletes include WNBA superstar A’ja Wilson, world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler, WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, San Diego Padres slugger Fernando Tatis Jr., and the Tennessee Volunteers football team. Construction Continues as Top Deck Is Added to Fourth Magic Kingdom Ferry

New Magic Kingdom Ferryboat Reaches Major Construction Milestone as Top Deck Takes Shape

A brand-new Magic Kingdom ferryboat is looking more like the finished product every day. Construction crews have now added the top deck to Disney’s fourth ferryboat, marking another major milestone as work continues behind the scenes near Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

New aerial photos from bioreconstruct show the vessel, officially named the Meg Gilbert Crofton, with its third level now in place. Two square openings remain in the deck where staircases will eventually connect guests between levels once construction is complete. Around the ferry, cranes, construction vehicles, ladders, and additional components are scattered throughout the work site as crews continue assembling the massive vessel piece by piece.

The Meg Gilbert Crofton first arrived at Walt Disney World in sections earlier this year, with assembly beginning in May. Disney previously shared that construction is expected to take about a year before the ferry is fully assembled, painted, and ready to begin transporting guests across Seven Seas Lagoon. Once complete, it will join the current ferry fleet alongside the Admiral Joe Fowler, General Joe Potter, and Richard F. Irvine. The new vessel is named in honor of Meg Gilbert Crofton, who served as the fourth president of Walt Disney World.

The construction site also offers a reminder of how much Magic Kingdom transportation is evolving. Nearby, the retired Liberty Belle remains docked north of Disney’s Contemporary Resort after leaving service when Rivers of America closed to make way for the future Piston Peak National Park expansion. At the same time, Disney has also begun expanding the Magic Kingdom ferryboat dock, preparing the transportation hub for the park’s continued growth.

With another ferry joining the fleet and improvements underway at the docks, guests can look forward to smoother transportation across Seven Seas Lagoon in the years ahead.

A leaked advertisement from Pandora appears to have revealed another major haunted house coming to Halloween Horror Nights 35 at Universal Orlando Resort, and this one is inspired by none other than rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.

The ad, which was first shared by fans on Reddit, includes the line: “Scream through the Prince of Darkness’ kingdom in a haunted house based on the music of Ozzy Osbourne.” While Universal has not officially announced the house, the leak adds another huge name to what is already shaping up to be one of the most stacked Halloween Horror Nights lineups in years.

This would not be Ozzy’s first trip into the fog. Back in 2013, Universal Studios Hollywood debuted Black Sabbath: 13-3D, a haunted maze inspired by the band’s music and imagery. The attraction brought some of Black Sabbath’s darkest songs to life with elaborate sets, creatures, and 3D effects. At the time, Ozzy himself praised the concept, saying he was excited to see Universal transform the band’s music into a haunted experience.

If the leak proves accurate, the Ozzy Osbourne house will join an impressive lineup that already includes Stranger Things 5, Sinners, Hellraiser, Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control, H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!, MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals, Cybergoria, and Sideshow of Decay. Nine more sea turtles are back where they belong thanks to the dedicated work of SeaWorld Orlando’s Rescue Team.

This week, SeaWorld Orlando successfully released nine rehabilitated green sea turtles into the Atlantic Ocean at River to Sea Preserve in Marineland, located in Flagler County. The release marks another important milestone in the park’s ongoing conservation efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and return injured and ill marine animals to the wild.

Most of the turtles were rescued earlier this year after Florida experienced an unusually cold winter. They were suffering from cold stress and severe malnutrition when they arrived at SeaWorld Orlando’s rescue facility. Over the course of several months, the turtles received around-the-clock veterinary care that included medical diagnostics, nutritional support, and specialized rehabilitation. One of the turtles even underwent extensive shell repair before being cleared for release.

With the turtles fully recovered, SeaWorld’s rescue team transported them to the Atlantic coast, where they made their long-awaited return to the ocean.

So far in 2026, SeaWorld Orlando has rescued 38 sea turtles and successfully returned 27 of them to their natural habitat. The park’s rescue program continues to play a vital role in protecting Florida’s marine wildlife, responding to animals affected by weather events, injuries, illness, and other environmental challenges.

Watching these resilient sea turtles paddle back into the Atlantic is a reminder that every rescue has the potential for a happy ending, and SeaWorld Orlando’s conservation team continues to make a meaningful impact on wildlife throughout Central Florida and beyond.

Meet the Characters of Descendants Wicked Wonderland Coming to Disney+ this August

Just when you thought it was safe to head back to the kingdom, the Descendants universe is shaking things up again! Descendants Wicked Wonderland officially hitted Disney Channel on Thursday, July 16, and streaming the very next day on Disney+. You’d think that saving Cinderella and turning the Queen of Hearts nice would mean a happily ever after for our favorite duo, Red and Chloe. But, as fate and time travel would have it, tinkering with the past has accidentally birthed a brand-new threat: Maddox Hatter.

When Maddox snaps and kidnaps the Queen of Hearts, it’s up to Red and Chloe to assemble a crew of both familiar faces and brand new legacy kids to save Wonderland. Before you grab your popcorn, let’s get reacquainted with the returning faves and meet the new kids on the block.

First up, we have our core duo. Red (played by Kylie Cantrall), the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, is dealing with a bizarre new reality where she is suddenly expected to be a picture perfect princess. Standing right by her side is Chloe (Malia Baker), the daughter of Cinderella and King Charming. The two are navigating these massive timeline shifts together, but their friendship is going to be tested like never before as the stakes get personal.

Speaking of family drama, this new timeline has given Red a younger sister named Pink (Liamani Segura). Unlike what you’d expect from the classic Wonderland royal family, Pink is incredibly kindhearted and sweet. The girls’ parents are also navigating this weird new world; the Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora) is now a benevolent, loving mom, and she happens to be absolute best friends with Chloe’s mom, Cinderella (Brandy). Talk about a complete 180!

But it wouldn’t be a Descendants movie without some major villain energy, and that brings us to the newcomers. Maddox Hatter (Leonardo Nam) used to be one of Red’s closest friends and was actually the genius who invented the time-traveling pocket watch. In this altered reality, however, he has turned full villain. His son, Max (Brendon Tremblay), who is also the Mad Hatter’s grandson, finds himself caught in the middle of the madness.

Rounding out the fresh faces are two very different legacy kids. We have Luis Madrigal (Alexandro Byrd), the strong and dynamic son of Luisa from Disney’s Encanto, who is stepping up as a certified hero kid. On the flip side, we meet Hazel Hook (Kiara Romero), the daughter of Captain Hook. Hazel is exactly what you’d expect from pirate royalty, hazardous, cunning, and keeping everyone on their toes. With a squad this wild, saving Wonderland is bound to be a thrilling, musical ride!

Imagine sitting in a room with a draft board, trying to decide which Avenger represents the New England Patriots, or which Toy Story character perfectly captures the vibe of the Dallas Cowboys. Sounds like a wild fantasy football group chat, right? Well, it actually happened in real life.

At Fanatics Fest NYC, sports culture and childhood nostalgia collided in the best way possible with the debut of the Disney Champion NFL Collection. To kick things off, they hosted the first-ever Disney Fan Draft, pairing up the first eight NFL teams with iconic characters from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel.

Here is a look at how this insane crossover came to life, why the designs go way deeper than you think, and which teams are already on the board.

The First Round Picks: Who Paired with Who?

The creative team didn’t just throw darts at a board of cartoon characters. Every single pairing had to make sense, blending team history, city identity, and fan culture.

Here are the first eight picks that officially dropped:

Buffalo Bills × Disney’s Beast: Raw strength, high intensity, and a fiercely loyal fanbase (shoutout to Bills Mafia).
Dallas Cowboys × Woody (Toy Story): Classic cowboy iconography packed with confidence and timeless appeal.
Las Vegas Raiders × Darth Vader (Star Wars): The ultimate match. Legacy power, a bit of mystique, and a natural fit for the silver and black.
New England Patriots × Captain America (Avengers): A modern take on heritage, heroism, and enduring leadership.

According to Bret Healey and the broader creative team, the golden rule was simple: Sports First. They wanted to make gear that fans would actually want to wear, whether they were lounging on the couch on a football Sunday, hitting up a theme park, or catching a movie.

But the real magic is in the details. The team treated the creative process like trying to move the ball against the number-one defense in the NFL. They refused to repeat characters, meaning every single pick had to stand on its own while fitting into a 32-team master plan.

The Cowboys & Woody: Look closely at the design, and you’ll notice Woody is striking a pose inspired by the original Cowboys logo, way before the legendary star we all know today took over.

The Giants & Wreck-It Ralph: This wasn’t just because Ralph is big; it’s a direct nod to the iconic “Big Blue Wrecking Crew” defenses from the franchise’s glory days.

Like any real world draft, these picks were absolutely meant to be debated. The creators knew that while some connections (like Beast and the Bills) would click instantly, others (like Buzz and the Jets) might make fans take a second look.

But honestly? That pause, that double take, and the inevitable debate with your friends is exactly what makes sports fandom so fun. The draft was designed to be playful, passionate, and just a little bit competitive.
