On March 13 the CDC put a no sail order in place for all cruise ships and it was supposed to extend for 30 days. The CDC has now renewed and extended this order by at least 100 days.
The CDC director put this order in place because he believed that cruise ship travel would continue to introduce, transmit and spread COVID-19.
This “no sail” order will stay in place until the 100 days pass, the Secretary of Health and Human Services no longer considers COVID-19 a public health emergency, or the CDC director rescinds or modifies the order.
Disney Cruise Line has canceled all cruises through the end of this month and all Disney Wonder itineraries through June. They will most likely be canceling more sailings soon. Stay tuned!
