New Set Photo Features Kate Winslet’s Character in ‘Avatar 2‘. Not much is known about the new cast of characters for the Avatar sequels, but we do know that Kate’s character will be introduced in the new film and the characters is an aquatic creature named Ronal. When asked about her role in the films Winslet shared with THR, “The most I’m allowed to tell you is that I am blue, and a lot of water is involved,” she continued, “I’m a water person, so I was very, very happy.”
The photo was featured on the official Avatar Twitter account along with the caption, “From Kate Winslet’s recent interview in THR: “I had to learn how to free-dive to [lay that role in Avatar, and that was just incredible. My longest breath hold was 7 minutes and 14 seconds, like crazy, crazy stuff.”

Winslet also shared she had a blast working with director James Cameron again and reminiscing her days on the set of Titanic with the younger cast being featured in the Avatar sequel, sharing with THR, “It was a really wonderful experience to work with Jim again. He seemed to really want to include me with the children. I enjoy working with kids, especially when they’re young and eager and so keen on wanting Jim to be impressed with them. I loved that I was able to say to them, ‘I remember what this feels like. Enjoy every moment.’”
