New Marvel and Star Wars Series Release Windows Revealed for Disney+. Back in February, Disney featured a Disney+ Powerpoint presentation for the launch in France which shared details regarding the release windows of upcoming Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm series premiering exclusively on Disney+.
Though Disney and Marvel have been aiming for a 2020 release in August for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and a December release for WandaVision, it is more than likely both series will be pushed back t0 releases on Disney+ in 2021, following a theatrical push back for the release of both Marvel’s Black Widow and Eternals.
Here is the tentative release schedule for new content from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm: (Note: schedule is subject to change)
Late 2020-2021
- The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
- WandaVision
- Loki
- Hawkeye
- Untitled Cassian Andor Star Wars Series
2022
- Untitled Obi-Wan Star Wars Series
- Ms. Marvel
- Moon Knight
- She-Hulk
The projected release schedule should be taken with a grain of salt, as the information provided was shared in France back in February 2020, before the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Likely, when production begins again, hopefully by the end of Summer 2020, we will hear more news from Disney, Marvel Studios, and Lucasfilm, regarding an updated release schedule.
We can not wait to see these new series, but we also understand rushed production will not yield the desired results for fans, casts, and crews of the series.
