Guests visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom can now see more updates, in Tomorrowland, of the TRON Coaster, arriving in 2021.
The construction site for the future location of the TRON themed coaster has received a major update. Guests can now see the coaster start to take shape with new added track. Last month, steel support beams were placed to uphold the initial tracks that were laid.
From what we’ve seen from Shanghai Disneyland, we’re to expect a luminescent, futuristic looking canopy looming over the attraction. The TRON roller coaster is supposed to be an exact duplicate of the existing TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland. This coaster is a thrill seeker’s dream. These cycles reach up to about 60 mph with big drops, twists, and turns.
Guests can now see the unique ride path as more tracks get installed. At this point in time, guests can view the ongoing construction site from different areas of the Magic Kingdom. We got a pretty good view from the Peoplemover.
Although, this attraction is in a league all its own, it’s definitely not the only new attraction coming to Walt Disney World. Guests that are attempting to patiently wait for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, most likely are excited for the arrival of Smugglers Run. Epcot will soon be the home to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! and a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. Last, we won’t have to wait too long for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway coming in the spring of 2020 to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
