According to an article on CNBC, media executives predict Bob Iger will return as Disney’s CEO in 2022.
Bob Chapek took over the company as Disney’s CEO when COVID struck back in 2020. He replaced Bob Iger back in 2018 when Iger announced his retirement.
It hasn’t even been two years since Bob Chapek took over as Disney’s CEO, but one executive told CNBC there are already internal wagers at the Walt Disney Company about Iger returning.
Since Chapek took office Disney shares have stumbled down nearly 20% year to date.
It’s unclear if Iger event wants to return as CEO of the Walt Disney Company, he recently wrote a book back in 2019 and is in talks to work on a second one.
Please note this is just speculation and nothing official has been announced.
