Disney Parks celebrates the importance of teachers in our children’s lives by throwing them an epic teachers’ celebration. Last weekend Disney Imagineers Campus honored over 50 top educators from across the country in the first-ever Disney Imagineers Campus 50 Teachers Celebration.
Teachers Made Honorary Grand Marshals in the Parade
The educators were treated to a memorable weekend full of magical moments and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. The teachers were made honorary grand marshals in a celebratory parade down Main Street. Surrounded by characters, streamers, and music, the teachers were cheered on by guests.
Orlando area teacher Stacey Foskey said “It was a dream. Being in a parade at the Magic Kingdom was a dream come true. I’m a big Disney enthusiast and might have cried a little bit as we were coming down Main Street because being a grand marshal in the parade at Magic Kingdom has been a lifelong dream of mine”.

Special Disney Imagination Campus Class
The parade was only part of this wonderful celebration. This four-day Disney Imagination Campus 50 Teachers Celebration made the teachers students at a workshop that gave teachers a special inside look at the unique design approach used in Disney’s theme parks in an informative Disney Imagination Campus class.

Teachers Treated to Rides, Shows, Special Meetings, and More
The weekend didn’t end there. Teachers were treated to a surprise ride on Disney’s newest attraction at Epcot, Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, special fireworks viewings, and entertainment experiences. There were also inspiring sessions with Disney executives, Disney Imagineers, and Broadway performers.
Our teachers certainly deserve to be honored and celebrated. It looks like Disney did a great job showing recognition and by the smiles, on their faces, I would say it looks like they had a great time too!
