On Friday, June 3rd, several Special Olympics USA Games athletes appeared in a parade at Walt Disney World Resort. As the honorary grand marshals, they joined Disney characters and other entertainers as they traveled down Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom.
Walt Disney World has been the main site for the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games. The athletes are being featured in a TV commercial much like Disney’s Super Bowl ad. The parade was part of the final leg of the official Special Olympics USA Games Law Enforcement Torch Run. It started up in Chicago and ended at Exploria Stadium in downtown Orlando.
