For those who have seen Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters, and like any true Marvel fan sat through all the credits, you know we got our first sneak peek at Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The upcoming Doctor Strange sequel is said to feature incredible cameos, but we may also get to witness the first crossover with Marvel Studios’ animated series, What If…? on Disney+. The teaser trailer featured an eerily familiar-looking Doctor Strange variant featured in What If…? that may spell doom for the MCU Strange’s world as he knows it.
Marvel just released the trailer this morning:
The variant in question lost EVERYTHING he held dear, including Dr. Christine Palmer in the car accident, and went to an incredibly dark place in the Multiverse to try and save her. Now, it looks like the variant has been pulled into the MCU and will face off with Strange in an epic battle for control as the multiverse converges.

The Doctor Strange sequel stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch) with Benedict Wong (Wong), Rachel McAdams (Dr. Christine Palmer), and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Karl Mordo) set to return in their respective roles for the sequel. The cast is joined by newcomer Xochitl Gomez who will be playing America Chavez in her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Reportedly, Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Sophia Di Marino (Sylvie), and Owen Wilson (Mobius) will also be featured in the upcoming film.
