'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' Said to Feature Significant Cameos Thanks to Reshoots

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ is currently undergoing “significant” reshoots due to actor availability and claims from scooper and insiders suggest this will lead to several additional cameos, potentially from actors from the 20th Century Studios X-Men films such as Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, and Hugh Jackman.

The GWW ‘s KC Walsh shared, “Got some info on these reshoots and what I said here is basically what’s happening, Feige is actually pleased with Raimi and the film’s direction, they are adding people who were busy (filming a show *wink emoji*) during principle, [and] streamlining a pivotal scene that also involves ‘cameos'”.

He continued, “My guess would be to spend more time explaining and expanding the concept of the multiverse in case people haven’t been watching [Disney+] It does also sound like a lot of actors are involved and they may have had trouble getting people when they needed them”.

Another notable and (recently available to film) actor that Marvel has had their eye on over years is Keanu Reeves who recently wrapped filming for John Wick 4, but Marvel Studios has not confirmed nor denied who will be involved in the reshoots that took place over the last few weeks.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter shared, “And we’ve also learned that part of the reshoots may have been spurred by the new Spider-Man movie and the Disney+ Loki series, both of which deal with the multiverse.”

The Doctor Strange sequel stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch) with Benedict Wong (Wong), Rachel McAdams (Dr. Christine Palmer), and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Karl Mordo) set to return in their respective roles for the sequel. The cast is joined by newcomer Xochitl Gomez who will be playing America Chavez in her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Reportedly, Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Sophia Di Marino (Sylvie) and Owen Wilson (Mobius) will also be featured in the upcoming film.
