Disney is pushing for 2021 Emmy Nomination for Gina Carano despite being fired from the Mandalorian franchise earlier this year.

Lucasfilm and Disney are promoting Gina for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Mandalorian Season 2 as seen in this “For Your Consideration” poster released by Lucasfilm.

Three months ago Gina was fired from Lucasfilms following a controversial social media post on her Instagram account. Lucasfilms had this to say about Gina.

“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future.

“Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
